Not fit for purpose – Why sell a vacuum that doesn't allow you to change the heads? The head that came with this vacuum cleaner stopped working. When I tried to swap it out for a different head, I found that it was stuck fast. The only way I could get it off was by pouring boiling water onto the flawed friction fit. are no blockages, its noisy, the motor sounds like it has something in it, the warranty terms of the supplier are nothing short of rediculous so in the trash it goes.

Great power from a small bagged vac – I've had this vac for 2 years now and it's done a good job of sucking up just about anything that gets in its way. Couple of annoying issues and design flaws wth this machine. The crevice tool sits on the metal bit of the hose causing it to bang into walls and furniture causing it to fall off all the time. The power cable is to short. the machine tips over easily upside down. There is no locking mechanism to stop the metal hose rod from coming out of the plastic bendy hose. If not pushed in tight the hoses come part. Surely over the years this will become worse with use.

If they fixed these things up this vac would be top notch. Bagged vacs are far superior to bagless, no mess!

Finish good but plastic like all of them these days, Material appears reasonably strong and machine has plenty of attachments. Suction excellent - in fact so strong have to turn down the power a bit.

This machine is very quiet, strong suction and is light, and as maneuverable as most machines of this type or design. The turbo head as is normal increases the noise level.and yes any turbo head gets clogged with numerous long strands of hair or string. Again this is normal though I found it picked up and cleaned the carpet well. My house is a mix of tiles and mainly carpet, about 175 sq metres and we have pets.

If it is a godfrey's brand so what if it is good. Harris scarfe, Coles Woolworths Aldi Sportscraft etc all have their own brands but I see no complaints about that even though some may not be of good quality.

So far no problems and happy with my purchase - and no I am not associated with Godfrey's, but I guess that may not stop some people criticising.

Great little machine esp for the price – Lightweight, easy to manouver, super suction, love the upholstery head. apart, blocks easily, hard to adjust pole height, vacuuming over cat hair it just rolls around under the vacuum head and barely sucks up I end up picking up clumps of hair by hand. I took it back to Godfreys to explain my dissatisfaction but was told there was nothing wrong with it and they had never had any complaints before. I will never step foot into a Godfreys again.

have to extend it, you have to stop, reach down to the head end and extend, if you want to retract, the same process has to happen again. The pipes are fluted against the air flow which results in fluff and dust collecting at the attachment points. This results in dumping dust on the floor when you change attachments. There is no place to store attachments or to travel around with you, so you have to carry them in your pocket. The 2000W is has mild suction and requires a second go over carpets but Wooden floors are great. The attachments do not click into place and as they slip on and become misaligned and have to be removed with force and reattached. I can see that eventually the attachment will no longer stay in place as the piping and connecting areas will wear out requiring the parts to be replaced.

Overall I would give this a miss and spend a bit more and buy the other German brand.

good at start until motor burnt out – the vaccum was sold to us as a great high quality european from Godfreys. Quite honestly it was fantastic at first, however after couple of years of use (although we took it back for maintenace to Godfreys as part of the deal) the motor burnt out without any pre-warning without any previous issues. we change the bag and keep the machine clean however this has been a dissapointing over-hyped machine by Godfreys.  Show details

very hard to change heads also very hard to push on the carpet . The suction is good. Almost too goo – I have tiles and a synthetic carpet. I had a berber before which the cleaner handles well. But very hard to push on longer pile. I am disappointed with the performance on the carpet as it takes too long because I have to push it too hard, even with the turbo. It is good for tiles as the suction is good but it is very noisy.It does vacuum the pet hair which is the main reason why I bought it as it was specified that it is good for pet hair. This is correct.

It is too hard to manage on my carpet. My old cleaner was much easier to manage. It feels like a workout when I do my carpet. I don't think it is easy to manoeuvre either it fell over as I pulled it today.

BUT the plastics they use are not good and the wheels came off within the year. We still have it and it still works (no wheels) but I won't be buying from Godfreys again, they are manipulative!

not that good and it does a poor job at picking up dog hair. You can feel it just doesn't have the suction requited on flat bits of carpet.

I cannot recommend this machine. I wish I hadn't bought it.

Not suitable for daily use – I need to use my vacuum daily, this just did not last. It has decent enough suction (I've had better on cheaper machines) BUT it just isn't suitable for a large house nor daily use. (the one underneath you remove to free any large bits stuck) fell off and now requires heavy duty duct tape to keep it in place.

It's noisy and really requires you to push down in order to get the best result from the cleaning head. It's horrible for corners and it always, always, tips upside down, even on straight hallways. Also we just use the one head now because within a few months it just became too hard to remove the heads, now impossible, so the hair revolving brush head is the one that is permanently attached. It's a nightmare to clean the rotating brush.

My mother has one, she has a smaller house, less foot traffic, no pets and only requires a light vacuum once or twice a week, it's lasting for her, me on the other hand (larger house, constant foot traffic and pets) it is literally falling apart in my hands.

It's just too much of a delicate snowflake for me.

Good – Seems to work well, although haven't had it for very long. Suction is good but I do find the heads very hard to remove (to change to a different head as it comes with various heads for various suction/floorings) once one. I have to say if you don't want to pay $900 for a Dyson and wasn't the sameness results you definitely buy this vacuum. The best I've had for removing cat hair – I have been using this vacuum cleaner for a while now and find it to be ideal for removing cat hair from all surfaces. I really like the upholstery head as this makes life easier to clean cat fur off the quilts on our bed. I love being able to increase and decrease the power as needed. I definitely recommend this cleaner. Cleaning floors and furniture is no longer the chore it used to be.  Show details

Incredible ! – I have a toddler and this vacuum does the job amazing ! I vacuum easily 3 times a day and absolutely love using this vacuum! One fatal flaw – Good vacuum for general use. But - how on earth do you change the heads? It takes two fit people to remove and change the attachment, before continuing the job! Great Vacuum, powerful motor – This vacuum is excellent at picking up everything, including tuff to remove pet hair from lounges and rugs. Great on carpets and hard floors and moves behind user with ease. The only downside is its weight, and being slightly akward to store. It is great, just difficult to manoeuvre – This is a great vacuum, perfect for a dusty house, and would be ideal for someone with a pet. Very reliable product – It is light and very good, cleans very good because of strong suction, cleans big 4 bedroom house. Cleans all the hair on the carpet and because of attachments easy to clean the car as well. I am very happy and satisfied with this product. I don't like this vacuum – Good suction but the attachments are so hard to get off it takes the strength of two to change them. Hair just gets tangled and we have to constantly remove it from all the attachments. The suction on this machine is far superior to our previous vacuum, and the turbo head is fantastic at picking up our girls hair and providing a deeper clean, but I would agree with other comments regarding the sub standard manoeuvrability of the unit. Without exception, every use involves it tipping on its side or flipping upside down. It is clearly not designed to effectively navigate corners or furniture.

A definite improvement on our previous vacuum but mildly frustrating to operate & needs some further R&D invested into it to rectify issues with cornering.

Worst vaccuum ever – Seriously the worst vacuum I have ever used. Its used once a week in a 3br unit. It is not overworked. There is absolutely no suction. Wertheim W2000 a good Product – If you don't mind bags It works exceptionally well. Read between the lines with some reviews as some people have unrealistic/wrong expectations about the product. I have been using mine and although I do not use many of the attachments they have all that is needed. It is a good vacuum cleaner, what more can I say

deafening.. Next to a Dyson ..any Dyson it was whisper quiet it doesn't flip easily and I can't find any sharp edge as to cut myself on. Conclusion is some people may want to discredit some manufacturers so do your own research.

So always research yourself.I was a professional cleaner therefore what I was looking for .Suction.. Extraordinary Warranty 10 years on motor and parts(Miele used to last 10 years most in the industry give Miele 5 years life) .Cost . Great value.340 Build. Huge improvement on older wertheims where handles broke machine was heavier and didn't maneover 3030 era).It is compact enough no more tools on board bigger rear wheels for maneover ability.

Great vacuum! – I purchased this machine from Godfrey's Prahran and am very happy with it. It picks up hair and dust very well. I would recommend this vacuum as a good purchase, it's pretty light and compact to good for an apartments. Also the additional attachments are handy to clean things like the car and couch etc.

Not terrible, Not fantastic either – Biggest problems: -The thing just flips, doesnt manoeuvre. -Turbo head is extremely noisy. My friend has a Miele and its turbo head is much quieter -Had a problem with the clip that is on the inside of the lid. The spring fell out but i was able to put it back in place after going to godfreys again and looking at the clip inside the demo model. It does get things done i just wish it is a bit more convenient

Works but is bulky heavy and not easy to run smoothly along floor – I got talked into this vacuum cleaner by Godfreys guy as I wanted a bagless but this has the cylinder that collects dust but also has the bag which you don't need to change that often with the cylinder that helps. it I think that others were better as the bags are expensive but what is new she says didn't want any bags so come out buying one with bags, but saying that the cylinders that are on the outside are way above the others as I had a similar vacuum that had cylinder and no bags and that vacuum cleaner was great and less than the price this one was, but the guy talked me into it but I have had trouble getting the Heppa filter for it. My next vacuum cleaner will be bagless and not sure how much longer this is going to last as it is making funny noises in the motor. The only reason I went to Godfreys was that I thought they would be the best place to go seeing that they sold vacuum cleaners and also serviced them so should know the best to buy.

Wrrthe in dog and crap! – Very heavy! noisy! Turns over easy! Popping noises! Sharp edges! Wife cut herself on sharp plastic edge on handle Hate it!!!! Should have stuck with Miele! Got talked out of it wertheim or Hoover he said! Conned!!!!! Won't ever go back to godfreys again I believe honesty is the best policy I have learnt a valuable lesson I got told bring it back we will service it!!(it's only couple of months old!!!
