Bought in June 2023 for a household of 8. Called square trade fridge Sept 2025 that fridge stopped cooling. They attended and found roaches INSIDE the circuit board? And expected me to know they were there and clean that even though theres a clear sign stating do not remove, authorised repairer only. . Fridge is in a wall cavity. Disappointed this… Read more

big machine could attract so many roaches to the circuit board in such a short time. Had a Fisher & Paykel before this for 10 years + and no issues.

Purchase this fridge new from appliances online. Installed it into a new Kitchen and never moved once. Fridge always ran a bit loud and felt cheapish. Worked well for first couple of years then just died one day randomly. Got a refrigerator technician to have a look and he said it had an internal gas leak and was not repairable. He said fridges… Read more

are not built like they use to be and recommended getting an extended warranty. We got a store credit due to our warranty still being valid. Choose a LG fridge this time. So far so good. Electricity went out, we had to get a refridgeration mechanic out, apparently when the cycle is interupted it froze in the wrong spot causing it not to work. It has to be thawed out every time there's an outage. Show details

Great fridge, quiet, love the water dispenser! – I'm a little surprised by the complaints saying it is noisy, as we have found ours to be incredibly quiet. The only time it ever makes noise is when the ice machine dispenses into the ice tray, and then the sound of the internal tap refilling the ice tray. We go through a LOT of ice, and I am super sensitive to noise, and the 5 seconds or so… Read more

doesn't bother me.

PROS: - My favourite part of the fridge is the water dispenser. It is sleek, and barely takes up any room internally or externally. Kids can access the water, and there are no buttons to play with. - The shelves are easy to clean. - Everything stays cool, despite kids opening and closing doors all day.

CONS: - More movement of the internal shelves would be handy to maximise the space - The ice bucket is poor quality. The week we bought it I tipped it upside down over the sink, and just hit the side of the bench and it had a huge crack in it.

Fantastic – Bought this fridge hassle free as we like the 605ltr capacity, French doors and the overall internal layout (compartment, bottle holder etc.) We have had it for 3+ years now and can confirm the below: - easy to clean - good quality stainless steel - compartments easy enough to remove & adjust - power consumption feels better then it should be on… Read more

the elec bill - easily adjustable temperature - the customer care team at Electrolux (Denise was the person I spoke to) is great and provides knowledgeable expertise - the lighting interior within the fridge is on point for those summer nights thirst craving night walks to the fridge in the dark - I happy with the built quality - the capacity is right for us

Most importantly it’s still running like new no issues

Westinghouse should give up – Possibly the worst purchase we have ever had the misfortune to make. What should have lasted years has fallen apart everywhere, starting with the imfamous handles, then the plastic door shelf inserts, and now uncleanable seals. Freezes milk when on high shelves. Terribly designed doors that won't stay open. Never again will we buy westinghouse, which is a shame as it used to be a very good brand. Show details

They still use these handle mounts – The handle mounting has been a problem for years and find it hard to understand why it is still being used! They sell a replacement kit of parts not needed for a rip off price, when it is a products faulty design. Shame on you Westinghouse, very disappointed to see you are still doing this to your customers.

Factory fault unrepairable – SS fridge bought as part of a package through kitchen connection. The pins that hold in the top shelf in freezer drawer pull out leaving drawer difficult to operate. It worsens over tine. A new o e was supplied but from day one had the same issue. Apparently not fixable. So told to monitor it. How long? Until warranty expires :-: Show details

Extremely disappointed with my purchase – I chose this (now discontinued) fridge to fit my fridge cavity. It looks great and the storage is well set out. However, it has not functioned as expected. It does not always fold in fully causing it to clash with the… Read more

other door requiring manual adjustment. Within weeks problems were evident again. The fridge temperature is inconsistent causing food spoilage due to excessive condensation and ice forming in crisper drawers. A follow up service call report states this is normal. From comments in other reviews these seem to be known issues. With a $2000 plus purchase price I expected a much higher standard of operation. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

Fridge failed twice within a week and coincidently only a couple of months out of warranty – Our Westinghouse WHE6000SA fridge was not cooling to a food safe temperature which resulted in a number of food items being discarded. We organised a call out where the attending technician come out and reset the motherboard. We had to then keep the fridge switched off for 24hrs which we did. 24hrs later we turned the fridge back on and… Read more

refilled it with our food. Less than a week after this our fridge failed again resulting in more food having to be discarded. Another technician was called out and this time they replaced the motherboard and we have to keep fridge off again for 24hrs.

We are in the fortunate position where we have a small spare fridge where we can store most of our food items whilst waiting for the 24hrs to pass however if you had no spare fridge you would be discarding all of the contents of your fridge and freezer.

All of this has occurred a mere number of months after our warranty ended. Surely these motherboards are designed to last multiple years and not just up until just after warranty expires. Very disappointed with the quality of our Electrolux/Westinghouse appliances. We have issues with 3 out of the 5 that are in our kitchen.

UPDATE: 19/08/2022

Fridge has failed again for the 3rd time and awaiting for technician to come back out to fix it. Hopefully this time it will be fixed and a further service call won't be required.

Noisey but they fixed it! – Originally bought this brand new and from the moment I turned it on, it made a lot of noise; a low humming noise. Faulty freezer door handle – Like many other owners of this refrigerator, WHE 6060 SA, I have just suffered the same problem of the freezer door breaking off. This is the model with the solid handle and apparently you can't simply buy the plastic pedestal mounts, but you are forced to buy a complete three handle kit for about $250. This is unbelievable! Surely Electrolux should offer a more affordable remedy for what is obviously a design fault.

Flimsy door handles, terrible customer service – I love the look of French door fridges and considered this fridge my dream fridge. how I can replace the parts in the handle, but was told that I had to pay for a set of all three door handles as the freezer handle can't be purchased on its own??! I have just spent over $200 for one door handle and two other handles that I don't need to replace.

The poor quality door handle joint, combined with bad customer service (my fridge was only a few months out of warranty and you are now asking me to fork out that much money just to replace one flimsy piece of plastic......) and not to mention the likelihood that my next handle will snap off after some use means that I will never recommend Westinghouse fridges to anyone in the future.

the cheap piece of plastic within the handle that holds the whole thing on). Have spoken with westinghouse customer service which was a joke. No common sense. Won't budge and offer to just supply one handle or even just the little plastic clip within the handle that holds the whole thing on. I am absolutely disgusted with the pathetic customer service. There's no common sense to this Westinghouse. What a waste. I'd rather buy a whole new fridge with warranty (not westinghouse now that I've had this ridiculous lack of customer service) than pay $300 to fix a handle!! Please pay note my warning and don't buy this fridge! I don't go around writing bad reviews of products as usually couldn't be bothered but in the case I strongly feel I must let people know!!!! There are other reviews about this being a common problem!!! Please note!!! EDITED TO ADD: after communicating with Westinghouse customer service through this website Westinghouse have, out of good will, replaced my single freezer handle. 2 years in and I still LOVE this fridge – I definitely did my research when purchasing the french door fridge which is why I was surprised to see this model without reviews on product review. water dispenser plumbed into mains water.... (actually our rainwater tank) super handy having this, I will admit that it does take slightly longer than a faucet to fill up a glass of water however does not bother me. 2: The ice-maker in the freezer is a total winner.. so handy for all those moments in life that call for ready made ice-cubes and you don't have to have prepared them as the fridge does it all. 3: The wine bottle rack mounted under fridge shelving - this is how I knew the fridge was made for me!

I will comment on the water dispenser. I have just contacted Westinghouse warranty to get a technician out to replace as it has stopped working recently.. No negative stars as this was a super simple process and fingers crossed it continues to be.

I do love the bottom freezer (we chose this as you use the fridge/ higher shelves far more often than opening the freezer.. plenty of room and three spacious draws to separate food.

Overall a great fridge that I would highly recommend.

Ok .... if you don't need to change your fridge settings – We researched fridges which didn't have external ice makers because of the known reliability issues and general waste of potential refrigeration space. The issue is, the ice maker fills the bucket to the max and eventually the ice at the bottom gets… Read more

stuck together. So we thought we'd turn it off so the ice levels not so high and could be periodically stirred and topped up when needed. Then we realized the control panel seemed to be temperamental. You can press the buttons hard, soft, in the middle, around the edge but get no response. It seems time is what's needed. Sometimes it just works, sometimes it takes 30 seconds to respond, other times you just give up and try again later. It is a shame because overall we were happy with this fridge, I never thought something as basic as controlling the fridge would be it's stumbling point. Dealing with Westinghouse service was pretty straightforward so credit to them there. Technician was nice enough but I feel he's forced to convince customers to accept the nature of such design faults. "This style of panel always exhibits this problem and it's a matter of pressing in the right spot." I won't argue with him, he's the service guy and I won't force him to fix something he can't fix. This is a problem that should have been addressed before manufacturing the product and at the least, addressed by making a replacement part which improves functionality for customers after sales.
