Hi all, I’m looking to buy a Yamaha road star or road liner and just wanted to know is there a big difference between the two apart from both being great bikes. Thanks

Hi folks! Am thinking of buying one of these. Have a 2000 and 2005 model to look at. Both with 28k on the clock. Was there ever an update or are these two essentially the same bike or should I favour the 05 bike. Thanks!

I understand that the 2000 model is a 1602 cc engine, whereas the 2005 is 1670cc. Other than that, the bikes are virtually the same. Your choice would also depend on the overall condition of the bikes and extras included. The earlier bikes like my 2001 were recalled and had a gearbox modification - not sure about 05. Either one you choose, you'll love the ride!

Is there a fuse for the head lights?

To be honest, I've never had the need to find the fuses in the 11years I've had my Roadie, but according to my Workshop Manual, the Headlight fuse is 15A and is found behind the left side- cover (just behind the seat.
