every meeting we had was productive. At no point did we feel like we were dealing with a pushy salesperson, and we were never upsold, just genuinely well advised.

We are now well progressing in the pre-construction phase and close to finalising our selections. Renee, our pre-construction manager, has been fantastic. She checks in regularly, responds promptly to our questions, and provides clear updates. Even during periods where progress can feel slow, her communication reassures us that things are moving forward.

Paula, our design consultant, has also been amazing. What initially felt like it could be an overwhelming task has turned into an enjoyable experience. With so many selections to make and an endless level of customisation available, her knowledge has been invaluable. She seems to know every product off the top of her head, gave us space to make our own decisions, and when we were unsure, offered thoughtful and expert advice.

We are thoroughly looking forward to the next phase of our build. The experience and the people so far have been outstanding.

of the workmanship is exemplary, with any queries promptly responded to or addressed. It seems everyone who I have met on-site is beaming a smile and genuinely happy to be there. The cleanliness of the site has always been astonishing, and is frankly refreshing to see how much W&BN pride themselves on not only quality construction but also keeping a clean and safe worksite. The cost of the build continues to be per the contract; there have been no unexpected surprises.

Louise Markovic our building design consultant provided a transparent approach to the process early on and even though we had not engaged the services of WB she went above and beyond to guide us on the correct plot/block for our build. We had considered multiple locations and went through each one and we were comforted by the professional guidance only a phone call away.

The design stage was a smooth process we had ideas on the aesthetics of our home and delivered these to our design consultant who worked with an incredible team to then deliver a product that we were satisfied with. No ask was too much and we felt supported throughout the design process, we had convenient access to our consultant and we appreciated the expert attention we were given.

There have been some instances of issues, however, there’s always been an open line of communication and reacted too promptly, fairly and with satisfaction.

highest level of executive management for help, we have been appalled at the incredible apathy and lack of ownership displayed. From start to now, this has been the most poorly managed project we have ever experienced. We are almost at handover which is very exciting, as it means we can have nothing more to do with the builder and move on with our lives. He managed our build in a professional manner and was able to talk us through the entire process and explain the various steps and options that we had available to us. His willingness to share his knowledge and experiences helped reduce any concerns that we had and made it a smooth process. Not what we expected – We recently completed the construction of our home through WB, and unfortunately, our overall experience has fallen short of our expectations. In the nearly 5 months since we moved in, our residence has continuously been a hub of activity with employees, contractors, and suppliers addressing various tasks, rectifying issues, and carrying out… Read more

rework. Regrettably, this process has involved multiple personnel changes, leading to a somewhat disjointed and frustrating experience as we navigated through the challenges presented by different individuals.

An unsettling discovery was made during a review of our security footage, revealing instances of disrespectful conversations among WB employees. Upon delving further into the recordings from the entire week, we were appalled by the nature of the discussions. Not only were disparaging remarks directed at my husband and me—contrary to the values claimed on WB's website—but there were also derogatory comments about individuals visiting our home, inappropriate discussions concerning WB employees, mockery of the quality of work conducted by WB in certain areas of our house, and external trades expressing dissatisfaction with their treatment by WB and delays in payments.

Upon bringing these concerns to the attention of WB management, we were met with apologies for the incidents but a lack of interest in reviewing the footage or delving into the details of the conversations. While they assured us that communications would be sent to the WB team and trades involved, we remain uncertain about the extent of accountability or corrective measures taken. Given the significant investment of time and money in this company, it is disheartening that our concerns were not thoroughly addressed. However, it is important to note that our build supervisor, who played a crucial role in managing the construction process, was commendable in his efforts. Despite encountering some issues during the build, he collaborated with us to navigate through challenges. Unfortunately, he left the company shortly after we received handover. Additionally, our recent interactions with Home Assist to address outstanding items have been positive and professional.

While we have found joy in our completed home, the overall experience with WB did not align with the promised service and values. We would advise future clients to document everything in writing, especially discussions at the outset of the process and when issues arise. Additionally, we recommend vigilance regarding the conduct of WB employees and trades post-handover, especially if you have family members, friends, or your own contractors on-site whilst work is carried out. If security cameras are in place, it is advisable to review them periodically.

Our experience with Rebecca reflects her personal characteristics in being very responsive to our requirements and she was always on top of her game delivering excellent and prompt service to us. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We admire Rebecca in the way she faces challenges with an opportunity to do the best she can to satisfy the client's needs. There were a few difficult issues raised during the process but Rebecca took them in her stride which resulted in satisfactory outcomes. We would also like to mention the great work done by WBN's Selection Consultants we were engaged with. It is evident they operate very efficiently and their product knowledge base is very good which makes it so easy for clients to understand and work through the selections processes in a relatively short time. We would like to single out Desiree, our Selections Consultant for the Pre-Contract Addenda. This included just about everything you could think of that goes into a new house. Well, there's not much Desiree doesn't know about building products and how and why to choose certain items to suit the style of your new home, inside and outside. Desiree's knowledge in these matters is second to none. Her ability to also grasp complicated technical issues to arrive at solutions is very good. Her dedicated hard work for us did not go unnoticed. Desiree went beyond our expectations and is an excellent example of the high calibre personnel WBN employ.
