We purched 3 units 4 years ago. Live in Malanda ( FNQLD). The best most efficient units, large home. Recommended this product to any household in any high humidity area in Aus. Easily lowers humidity from 80 plus down to 45% in large rooms....down to 30% (lowest) in smaller rooms. Power consumption is 500watts (only when compressor operating)...a… Read more
little noisy...but does a fantastic job...."If"... any fail...in future we will replace with same brand
I've had this dehumidifier for a few years, now out of warranty, and it's been working well, very pleased with it. But, recently it just stopped working. When I turn on the power the display flashes briefly and then goes off. When I contacted AusClimate via their webpage and email, the responses were quite slow and totally unhelpful. This dehumidifier is great (until it stops working) but their Customer Service isn't. Show details
We purchased the Ausclimate Large 35L Dehumidifier hoping it would help us year round, but unfortunately, it hasn't been the right fit for our needs. This model uses a compressor, which works well in warmer weather but becomes far less effective when the temperature drops. In hindsight, we should have gone for a desiccant model, which performs… Read more
better in cooler conditions. Unfortunately, we didn’t find a clear explanation of the difference between compressor and desiccant models on the Ausclimate website at the time of purchase. That lack of information contributed to us choosing the wrong unit.
To be fair, this isn't entirely on Ausclimate, we could have done more research too. But clearer guidance on the product page or comparison tools would have really helped steer us toward the right dehumidifier for our situation.
Now we're stuck with a model we can only really use in the warmer months, which is a bit disappointing. If you're in a cooler climate or need year-round use, make sure to look into the differences between compressor and desiccant types before buying.

Great service from this company, and unit works well – This unit is my first time using a de-humidifer, i've become more conscious of humidity since the 2022 flood disaster. Mine is not being used for any chronic/major problem, just more to dry out excess seasonal humidity in my subtropical climate, and protect indoor air quality in general. Unit removes excess humidity very well, from a fairly large… Read more
space (~40m²). No problem accumulating 6+litres of water in one afternoon, and a 20%+ reduction in humidity, on very humid stifling days if needed. In summer conditions it does heat up the room by several degrees, as expected. (I imagine in winter, this will be a welcome bonus as i'll be able to use the heater less often.) It worked brilliantly in a summer heatwave, in conjunction with putting the split system airconditioner on the gentlest/lowest speed setting; the result was cool indoor air, and now also nice and dry too. Very soothing feel to the air, and I hadn't expected to feel such a difference versus before.
Noise: I am a noise-hypersensitive person who works with audio, so i'm not a great judge of what might be normal or not for an everyday user. But, yes there's fan noise, which seems unavoidable with anything utilising a fan. It's a smooth constant white noise like I expected, similar to running a plain old-fashioned fan at a decent speed. The tradeoff vs the benefit for me is a no-brainer, everything feels healthier at home.
I must mention particularly excellent service from the company, as I encountered a sudden uncommon fault after a few months of happy use. And instead of being put on hold, or an automated line, I got a nice human being on the phone instead. He sorted me out with a replacement unit, promptly and with no hassles. The replacement unit arrived within a few days by courier and is working great, happy days. This kind of service is becoming increasingly rare in the modern world, so i'm happy to write my experience as a result. I have no hesitation recommending this company's general approach, and my model of unit, due to my above experiences.
Better that I expected. Absolutely supurb dehumidifier unit!! – I have been using this machine for about 2 months now; I'm absolutely mind blown by how much water is sucks out of the surrounding air in the room. I had it running in just by bedroom for about 5 maybe 6 hours and it collected close to 7 liters of water in just that one room. A very practical appliances to have when considering how much rain and… Read more
humidity we have had this year on 2022. Simple functionality and easy to use. Buttons consist of: Off/on, fan speed high/low, timer, (how long you want the machine to run) ↑↓ buttons for what humidity level you wand to adjust the room to and can toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit display on the machine. Very simple.
It does warm the room up slightly but this is necessary to dry the moisture out of the room. At least it's a dry heat which is far more tolerable and does not leave you feeling sweaty and putrid. Warm dry air is also handy for those trying to dry their clothes indoors on rainy days and such.
A great machine to have if like me you are a person who is dealing with a lot of mould around the house is it removes lots of moisture and helps stop the spread of spores and mould formation. My air is left more cleaner, dryer and easier to breath. A very pleasant relief as I suffer from asthma.
I also purchased on the side a digital climate gauge along with the dehumidifyer. A neat little gadget that displays date/time, room humidity and room temperature. Also functions as an alarm clock.
I had a slight issue with my digital climate gauge as I found it was not holding time very well and was losing about 8 to 10 seconds every day. Tempreature readings (which is primarly what it is for) seems to display accuratly and steadily with the environment. I contacted the team at Ausclimate about my problem. The team was very quick to respond. Very polite, clearly spoken and overall professional and helpful in adressing my concern and were kind enough to send to me a new climate gauge as a courtesy service, they even allowed my to keep the original.
I was recomended to Ausclimate from a work colleague who spoke very highly about one of their other dehumidifier units and I can certinaly see why. Efficient top qualuty product, courteous staff, top customer service, clear communication, super quick postage. Full 5 star ratings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you want a good reliable dehumidifyer, get one from Ausclinate. Do it! You won't be disappointed.
Ausclimate, thank you – I have been researching and looking for a quality dehumidifier for a number of months, and I'm so glad I found this product from Ausclimate. relentless periods of rain this year. Condensation in our bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom would result in high levels of humidity +90% and mould growth. We've also had to dry our clothes indoors for a number of weeks, which hasn't helped.
The dehumidifier from Ausclimate is the perfect size, is extremely powerful and easy to wheel from room to room. Sure it's a little noisy and a little expensive, but I have absolutely zero regrets. You get what you pay for. First hour of operation in our living room and we drew out ~2 mug fulls of water!
Delivery was included in the price and it arrived 3 days after ordering. If they're out of stock, keep an eye on the website for re-stocking dates and add a reminder to your calendar. Well worth the wait.
Disappointed in the 35L Dehumidifier – I write to tell you, how disappointed I am in this product. Prior to purchasing your dehumidifier, I had a Panasonic 27L. All through previous winters, my little house was dry and healthy. Since using your dehumidifier, since May 2024, I now have damp running down my walls. Windows are all steamed up. A very disappointed customer.

We purchased this dehumidifier last month and have been using it daily to remove all moisture and condensation in individual rooms in our house. We have found this unit very reliable and works better than our expectations. The bathroom now has no condensation on the windows which is great. bathroom and our 35L we move between bedrooms and living areas. We now do not need to keep refilling moisture absorb containers that are becoming expensive and filling up very quickly. I highly recommend these units that my daughter and parents have also purchased Ausclimate and find them very reliable.
@ years ago I purchased different dehumidifier which I was very pleased with its performance. recently I purchased the 35l one and it is great disappointment the unit is not working there is no phone to call and no answers to emails. The service deteriorated would not recommend it Show details
Dehumidifiers very well. Unfortunately it increases the temperature of the room. It went up 2° in about an hour and a half in a small enclosed room. I live on the Gold Coast so that it's usually warm when it's humid so I'm not particularly happy about that aspect. It's easy to use and very easy to empty.
Amazing! This machine is incredible. I am emptying the 6l tank 2-3 x day. I can't believe the amount of moisture it pulls from the air. I left it running with the hose in when we went away. For the first time our house didn't smell damp when we returned. Great for living areas. We have found it too noisy and hot for bedrooms. Has castor wheels so… Read more
can be moved around. It is a heavy machine, wouldn't be great for moving up and down stairs. Highly recommend. Looking to purchase a 2nd one.
One of the best things I’ve ever bought. My house was full of mould and had a musty smell I couldn’t get rid of. Airing the house out wasn’t doing anything. This dehumidifier pulled years of embedded moisture out of my house. The difference is unbelievable. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Show details

Quite a workhorse and looks after a big open space in my home. The only drawback is the design of the water container as it's hard to slide back into position and it feels a bit flimsy. It will also tip over if not fully supported when it is full. I'm still happy with it, and bought a second unit. Show details
I can’t believe how much water in the tank after 2 hours of the operation. The entire room feels crisp, dried & comfortable again. Amazing machine ! Perfect for an unpredictable Qld weather at the moment. Show details
Great customer service – The first dehumidifier that got delivered to me wasn’t working properly so I spoke to Scott and he was very helpful. He sent me another product very quickly and it’s working a treat! Highly recommend. Show reply
Best purchase ever – Great product. We are truly happy and satisfied with this dehumidifier. This is the second one we have in our home. It truly makes a big difference in the moisture in our house. Very differently recommend this product. Show details · 1
Fast delivery to my door – Have run my 35L dehumidifier for a few days straight and it's pulled out so much water from the room! Have also used it in my son's bedroom and had filled up twice in 3 days (doors closed so all from his mattress/doona/wardrobe etc). Fantastic! Show details
Highly recommended – This is our second unit. Our bathroom and walk-in robe had become mouldy after the long spells of wet weather. I am still amazed at how much water this unit can extract. It's a very efficient unit - I would highly recommend it. Show details
Amazing difference after first use – Really easy to use. I pressed the arrow button down to 40% on the first use and pressed start. I cannot tell you the miraculous difference in smell of the musty room we'd put it in! It's a flippin trojan too. Easy enough to empty, amazed that it does such a good job. With the door shut, we forget it's on, so it's not too noisy. Well worth every… Read more · 1
cent. I hope it lasts a long time. I've had it for a few weeks so far. Honestly the air is breathable and no hint of mustiness left. I love it. Bought on sale. Well worth keeping an eye out on the website.
Machine does not function properly - even after a second one replaced and let down by Ausclimate – We have had a quite expensive dehumidifier in our home for over 25 years going through only two of the same machine in this time. It started to play up a little with water leakage sometimes, so we sought to replace it and also seeking less power usage as well. We purchased the35L Ausclimate WDH-930DA on the 5th April 2023 based on the "reviews… Read more
and awards". Unpacked the unit and put it together and starting the machine was easy. What happened over the next few weeks were a nightmare for me as I do not appreciate broken promises and wasting so many hours of my time trying so many different settings and options for Ausclimate to ascertain the problem. To my utter dismay this doesn't function like our far superior machine at all and to think this machine won awards is beyond comprehension. To put this in perspective, I have to compare this to the machine we had as that is what we expected but with higher tech but this wasn't the case.
What we noticed is that the machine just never turns off despite changing the humidity levels as high as it would go, so we could see it actually turn off whether it's the fan or whether it's the condenser going. It runs ALL Day, non stop! - unless the tank gets full of water. The very thing about our existing machine is you simply set the dial (like a analogue clock dial) to whatever humidity level you required, such as dry, comfortable or always on and there is a range in each selection. You set the level and then the machine will reach your desired humidity level then turn off and only come back on when it senses humidity is higher again, but just several times a day, not on and off 50 times a day. One thing is that if we wanted a bit of quite if our existing machine is running, we can turn down the dial just 1mm to the left and the existing machine will turn off and then turn on when it senses to reach a desired humidity level. The Ausclimate WDH-930DA does not do this. I got it replaced and had a new unit a few days later (through Amazon). This machine had exactly the same problem - just would not turn off and I am talking after 6-7 hours mind you and again many, many phone calls back and forth. It was also tried in a room we never use a dehumidifier and unbelievably the same thing - the unit just doesn't shut off. Now what are the chances of 2 "lemons" of machines?
I called Ausclimate and spent several hours collectively with Scott from support, with over a dozen phone calls (documented from the 3rd april until the 2nd May) to explain the problem and how the 2nd machine also did the same thing and they agreed I certainly know how to use a dehumidifier. We tried so many different options and settings for Ausclimate and nothing changed and I was beyond frustrated. As support were stumped, Scott got the warranty person to call me and we had a few discussions and she was also stumped and was going to get in touch with the manufacturer. I said that I had just a few days window left before I could return the item to Amazon for a full refund. She never got back to me and I lost my window to return the machine. Seems like no one knows how this machine REALLY functions! I have plenty of proof.
So this is the ONLY way we can use this WDH-930DA which is extremely annoying - It has a timer. Our existing (old) machine doesn't have a timer, yet worked automatically without fail collectively for 25 years. So every morning I have to go into the hallway, turn the WDH-930DA on and set the timer and guess say 4 or 5 hours for example so the unit will turn off, so in other words, we can never set and forget like we did on our older machine. If we forget to do it, then the areas get cold and stay humid and this is not we want, which means if we are away from home for the weekend, or on holidays, the machine is absolutely useless. We also had our existing older machine piped at the rear to go through the floor into a drain outside so we never had to empty the conatiner. I would also like to say we have several smaller machines from other manufacturers, with digital controls and humidity settings and they work on whatever we set it at, yet the Ausclimate WDH-930DA does not as detailed above. SO when we arrive back home from work, we have to go to the hall way again (after already programming it in the morning) and then turn the WDH-930DA on and then turn it off manually before we go to bed.
Summation: A manual machine in 2023 that needs to work via a timer only and mere guesswork when to turn it off so it doesn't run all day (as our other machine never did) and not set and forget is almost a complete failure. As far as performance and ease of use goes, this is far from acceptable. If you are not home, then the machine has to stay on 24/7 and use lots of electricity and it never stops running (unless the water tank becomes full). Mind you this is for a small hallway with a few adjacent rooms. If you are home, you have to remember to turn the machine on and then off manually. FAIL! When the machine container is full of water, the top actually bulges out a little bit meaning the thin plastic wall of the container is struggling against the weight of the water.
If we could return it for a refund , we would have but missed the window due to work commitments and Ausclimate not returning my call with their answer as promised. This 35L machine is more than adequate for the desired room size so it's not a case of being overworked and this is the worst functioning machine of any dehumidifier we have ever tried and we have 4 in the house for small rooms when required. Lesson is that we should have paid more than double the money we paid for the WDH-930DA to replace our existing and far superior (obviously) machine instead of reading all these "fantastic" reviews and seeing it is an "award winning machine", so this is money wasted and a most frustrating experience.
Ausclimate have a "special" which is $529.99 online , down from $629 RRP, yet there are many online retailers selling around the $495 mark, which is what we paid but actually even less with a $15 cashback bonus from Shopback making it effectively $480, so it doesn't make sense buying direct.
