the initial steps of the knock-down rebuild process. Morgan provided us with clear, detailed and realistic information about the costs, our options to customise the design and timelines, and established the basis for a good working relationship.

Our Hall & Hart team was professional and responsive throughout. We would like to mention in particular: Marko, our in-house architect who worked closely with us and took time to understand our dream design and incorporated our many requests and changes into the customised plans, ensuring that the final plan met all our requirements. Melissa, who guided us through the pre-construction stage with wonderful support. She was very organised, knew our project features well and responded promptly to all queries and issues that came up. This stage of the process was well run with organised meetings keeping us up to date, with clear milestones to be met to keep to the timelines, and providing us with various options to consider in making our choices to finalise the FF&E schedules, making it all a seamless process. Crystal and Carly, our talented interior designers who took time to get to know our tastes and provide us with excellent choices within our budget, and great advice and tips during the FF&E stage. It is wonderful to see all this realised so beautifully in the final product. Darren McDonald, who took over as our site manager and oversaw the construction phase and has followed through with resolving post-construction items. Overall the construction phase was well managed. When any issues arose these were addressed and resolved quickly and on reasonable terms, with Darren ensuring the agreed solution was implemented. Post construction, Darren has assisted us in working through the list of outstanding items and getting all the various items addressed, and has also come to our home to check on progress. We appreciate Darren's dedication and hard work in getting the project to completion and his continued help in getting every issue resolved.

The level of client care, professionalism and commitment from all the team made a big difference to our overall experience. We are very happy with the final product and our overall building experience with Hall & Hart.

Morgan - Sales Director whom we met at the display centre was very informative and patient in answering all our queries and raising a few points for us to think about to help us find the perfect block and committing to a knock down and rebuild. Morgan was also very transparent when it came to costings and timelines from the very beginning.

Melissa - our project manager during the Pre-Construction stage, was super organised and responsive. Mel was always available to help answer our questions and took time to explain each stage to us and gave us enough time to plan ahead for what’s coming up. All of this made the process during this stage feel so seamless and painless.

Jessica - our interior designer guided us along the way and worked closely with Marko (our designer/ architect) to ensure everything came together nicely both functionally and aesthetically. Jess provided great advice throughout and offered her honest opinion without pushing anything onto us or rushing us to make a decision. She would always give us options to choose from which was always helpful and we are happy with our final selections and how they are came together.

Marko - our designer who spent time to properly understand our requirements and worked closely with Jess to incorporate the various changes (some of which were a bit more tricky than others) we wanted make to the standard floorplan for the Ascot model. Marko had alot of great ideas and the final plan met our requirements and minimised wasted space.

Darren - our Site Manager during the construction and post-construction phases. We had a site manager change about 2 months into the construction phase but Darren managed to get up to speed quickly and was providing us with regular updates in no time. Darren is very experienced and knowledgeable, and gave us confidence that we were in safe hands. We did encounter an issue with the pit levels towards the end but it was ultimately resolved with a good outcome all thanks to Darren’s hard work and efforts. Overall the construction phase was well managed with issues communicated and resolved in a timely manner. Post construction, Darren has been helping us coordinate trades and getting through the list of items with only a few remaining now, and has also come by our home a few times to check on progress. This level of client care and commitment made a real difference to our overall experience.

If we had to do it all over again we would still choose Hall & Hart.

final costs are different but not way different. - From bad memory, I can tell these staff are helpful, friendly, and courteous: Jin, Morgan, Miki, Melissa, Kevin, Elli, Mick. Morgan listened to us regarding redesigning the draft, which has fans to Basix. We don't like fans. Miki, Mel helped us to deal with our new difficult home neighbors. Mick-site manager, goes the extra mile to help us with information, co-op with our landscapers' work, and water pressure. - A special touch that highlights their care when they sent us beautiful flowers after they knew we were sick. - Note on low Water Pressure, Toto toilets not working. Which delayed our move-in. However, the site manager verified that this was due to the Waterboard lowering the pressure to the minimum for living in the street/area - not issue with house plumbing itself.

We have just moved into our new home and love it! We can highly recommend this builder. are quite new to the building process. Morgan's approach to the quotation process was thorough, transparent and in hindsight realistic - this was important for us as we don't want any surprises in our budget!

When we moved to the design phase, thanks to our project manager Melissa Moore, it was an enjoyable experience working through the design consultations - Mel was very informative, gave us good options to think about, and flexible to customise to our preferences. Mel guided us step by step on each element of the plan and interior design, plenty of time to do our own research in between on what we like and bring back to discuss how to incorporate into the build. In one of the meetings we were even using VR goggles to visualise our plan in 3D!

The construction process was stress free - our site manager Mick Scicluna was a gem! Mick proactively keeps us up to date on progress, upload photos on the phone app so we can see it as it happens, and was very responsive whenever we want to chat in calls or messages. What impressed us most was his professionalism - Mick did not hesitate to rework some details until they are up to his high standard of workmanship. We have moved in recently and now working through the list of minor fixes - it's quite easy using the app - even at this post-build stage Mick has been very responsive and some of the fixes were done within days of us notifying.

We have heard so many stories from our other friends with other builders on how their build experience was quite terrible, so we were grateful how our whole rebuild experience with Hall & Hart was so positive - and we are now enjoying our dream home.

We’re extremely grateful for our site manager and the way he handled all our questions and concerns and had our backs throughout the process - due to lots of changing hands of our project during Covid prior to him taking over, there were a number of issues we consistently had to follow up on but he was always patient with us and worked amazingly as great go between advocating for us.

Ultimately our final cost was quite a lot more than we originally expected it would come to and some of that cost probably could’ve been avoided if there wasn’t miscommunication during the process prior to work commencing on site. In saying that we know we got a product that was at a high level of finish (a lot of that due to our site manager’s diligence and high level of expectation of workmanship finishes) and we know that ultimately this will be a home we get to make memories in and love more and more as the years go by.

It was a long journey for us however the experience has been well worth it. The level of the finished product surpassed our expectations and have already fielded many comments on how well built our home is. It is inevitable that issues arise, regardless of who you build with, but having a site manager who genuinely cares about the quality of the home and the customers made all the difference with Aaron. If something wasn’t done or installed correctly, he would get it fixed ASAP. During the build, we decided to add skylights—not an easy thing to do at that point in the build—but he took up the tools to ensure our altered design synced well with the existing design. We are still in contact with Aaron during the post-construction phase, and he is always quick to respond and get things sorted for us.

We were in Carly’s capable hands during the design phase and really valued her inputs. Mick then took over during construction and then we had Lachlan and also Aaron for a period of time. It wasn’t disruptive having different site managers as each added a different perspective to the build. All three were amazing. What was consistent with all three was their attention to detail, responsiveness and willingness to rectify any issues we raised which was much appreciated. project we had Aaron as our site manager. He set clear expectations upfront and was very good at managing the trades. Then he got promoted and we got a new site manager called Ante.

Ante was excellent and would always go above and beyond to find solutions and overcome any issues. Being an ex carpenter he was very hands on and had a great level of detail on the key parts of the project. We felt very lucky to have Ante supporting us through the project and he made the whole process very enjoyable and informative.

The thing we loved about Hall & Hart is that while they are a big company, they are still very open and accessible and the directors are happy to get involved and be part of the projects to resolve any issues or misunderstandings.

We made the right choice! – When we started exploring a knockdown rebuild, we were really uncertain about who to choose. We were skeptical of promises made by a range of builders and thought we'd just be a number once we'd signed. We're now in our new house, and we're super glad we went with Hall & Hart. budget but wasn't. The end result was that we ended up with a house that was perfectly designed for our family.

Anyone who thinks they'll go from start to finish on a build with no issues is kidding themselves. It's how a builder handles issues as they arise that separates the quality builders. Any issues that we faced were always addressed, so special thanks along our journey go to all the H&H team.

We'd been out to Homeworld and were speaking with around 10 builders before we narrowed it down to 3. Our initial contact with Morgan was great, and he worked with us on the initial estimates before we signed anything. I was really cautious about saving cash for selections later down the journey. I remember Morgan telling me that H&H had a great selection of PC items as their baseline, and that was true. When we walked into our Beaumont tiles appointment, it seemed like we could choose from at least half the store for no additional cost.

Hanny was our architect, and he nailed our design. We'd seen heaps of different floor plans from many different builders. We thought we knew what we wanted, but using our design brief, Hanny came up with something we would have never come up with ourselves. We've got light streaming into our new place, and the living spaces take advantage of the bush straight across the road. This is the point where we pushed our budget to get extra space. At this point, Morgan was still working with us and put forward some solutions to bring the cost down. We felt no pressure from H&H to spend more, but we chose to spend more as we wanted the extra floor space.

Once we were happy with the design, Jin worked with us on all our estimates to make sure it fit our budget. He was really patient with us while we tried to make our decisions on what was in and out. From this point, we knew what we were going to pay.

Living in a bushfire zone, we had complications with the council. The council had requested modifications to the DA just before Christmas. Dianna was amazing and worked hard for us right up to Christmas Eve to make sure it got back to them and did not delay our approval.

While all this was happening, we were lucky enough to have Crystal helping us with our interior design choices. She asked us all the right questions and encouraged us to use Pinterest so she could get a flavor of our tastes. We leaned on her for all our big decisions, and our finished place looks great.

Once we'd booked the demo, we wanted to get things moving super quickly. Dianna and Nick tidied up all the final pieces for the contract, so there was no delay for us to get started.

Unfortunately for us, we chose to build at a really tough time. It's no secret that the construction industry was suffering from huge demand following COVID stimulus, and dealing with labor and supply shortages. I found the comms during this time to be great. Adam gave us weekly reports on progress and kept the quality of workmanship high. He always gave us a couple of alternative solutions for any on-site problems that popped up and always gave us the pros and cons. We were super close to completion when Adam left H&H. This could have a real problem, but Michael made sure that all the final things kept moving, and the house we always wanted was handed over. We're super appreciative of Michael, as the closer you get to hand over the longer each day gets.

I had some mates that built around the same time we did, and their journey was not smooth. I write this long review/story because of my genuine gratitude for H&H.

stages of build. For me, building our home is an overwhelming and stressful experience. They had given me patience and really listened to our needs and concerns, carefully guided me through all decision making process. Even though we had gone through the Covid restrictions, lack of timber and tradies, all kinds of unprecedented difficulties which we couldn’t do anything to help, Hall and Hart ‘s management keeps holding the strong faith in the building industry, be very resilient and well adapting in the dynamic environment. Most of people think the building a new home always come with the cost surprises and worrying a lot in over-budgeting. Hall and Hart keeps a very good promise and never let me down at this point. I was given a quite good estimation at the tender stage and finally I have some provision allowances back.

After the handover, Hall and Hart keeps taking good care of the customers. There are always something this and that found in the house which need to be re-touched. Their connections with different contractors are well established as finding these contractors through Hall and Hart are always fast responsive and helpful. You can rest assured that they will be there as promised.

I would recommend Hall and Hart to anyone who would like to find a builder to build your dream home.
