mistake, the lady advised we can't do anything till you email and send pictures, I said now I am getting annoyed this was just delivered not 30 mins ago!! she then Hung up the phone on me. I then called several times and the phone was picked ump and hung straight up again. I persisted and finally a male answered, I advised that I was annoyed by the terrible customer service and he said, apologies it is a bad day for us with stocktake going on. Also that it is not there problem when the warehouse has made a mistake. They eventually organised to have the right stock delivered the next day. UPDATE - While product is good (when we finally received it) and is what we ordered, the amount of time it took to arrive, and the dismissive attitude of staff when I actually finally managed to get someone on the phone to inquire was terrible. An reply to an email for information revealed very little and their follow up arrived only after I had picked up the product. Would not recommend Harvey Norman if you expect prompt service.

almost impossible to get any form of progress towards them picking the treadmill up, returning to supplier and then refunding the product. They only communicate when approached. Responding emails feel like they are kicking the can down the road and I have a sense they are gas lighting me. They have been avoiding my emails and only responded when I managed to get through to them via the phone. Still getting stuffed around with the Hyundai Air Compressor I purchased over a month ago. It was Damaged during delivery and it has been a nightmare ever since. send emails verifying when the rug arrived and when I initially sent my response after many back-and-forth emails they told me that I could only return the rug as a change of mind despite the fact it had a faded line through the middle of the rug and they would charge me $65 for shipping and a 20% restocking fee. The rug was $169. Take from the return would be around $106. The service was atrocious. I will never again purchase from Harvey Norman online. They value their third-party sellers and do not value their customers. Please be warned Harvey Norman online is nothing like the service you receive from an install visit at Harvey Norman where I have never had an issue and the customer service is excellent. Do not buy from the online store. You will only have a multitude of difficulties if the product you are supplied does not match what they are advertising. In addition despite the fact we hadn’t agreed that I was returning the rug for a change of mind they arranged the courier without notifying me and it was due to pick up on the Australia Day public holiday from a business address. There was no way to contact them to let them know that I wouldn’t be there except they gave me the phone number of the courier company. I did not contact the courier company I decided instead because of the ridiculous return fees of $106 that I would gift the rug to a friend who has an autistic child who likes to sit on a soft surface while eating and wipe his hands on that surface. I made a further complaint and recieved two emails (emails in included photos ) from [Name Removed] a customer service representative on the 21st & 27th of January, stating that he was talking with the supplier about cancelling my order
On the 29th of January a updated tracking of the item showed that it had arrived in my state, I emailed [Name Removed] ( email in images ) asking what was happening with the cancellation- Not surprising, he just didn't bother emailing back.
The item was delivered to my address on the 4th of Feburary.
So basically this company will wait until they send the item, then message back saying its to late or just not email back at all.
I could of rejected the item - but that involves fees taken from my refund, most likely the $700 delivery fee.
Basically, don't buy from these scammers - there are better online companies that will cancel and refund straight away.

To make matters worse, when I spoke to a staff member at the store, I was told that there was nothing they could do. The only option given to me was to “wait for an email”. There was no phone number available to call, no escalation, and no real support offered at the store.
Since then, exactly six days have passed, and I have received no response to my emails at all. No updates, no explanation, no solution. This complete lack of communication is unacceptable and shows a serious failure in customer service.
This was not just a regular purchase — it was a Christmas gift for someone special. Due to Harvey Norman’s poor stock control, lack of support and failure to communicate, that person received no gift on Christmas Day. This situation was extremely disappointing and could have been avoided with basic care and responsibility.
I am deeply disappointed by: • Incorrect and misleading stock availability • Being told in-store that nothing could be done • No customer service phone contact available • Emails being ignored for six days • Complete lack of empathy and accountability
This behaviour is extremely irresponsible and demonstrates a lack of respect for customers.
I am requesting: A clear and honest explanation of what went wrong A confirmed and realistic solution or delivery timeframe Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and stress caused A formal apology and proper customer support
I expect an urgent response. Customers deserve honesty, respect and professional service — something that, unfortunately, I have not experienced with Harvey Norman.

PM, so I waited the entire time and even extended my work shift to be available. After all that, they casually told me it would still take another hour, with no proper explanation or apology.
They seem to think only their time matters and have no understanding that customers also have jobs, responsibilities, and schedules. This level of carelessness and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and I truly believe this is one of the worst services I have ever received. I wouldn’t even give one star if I had a choice.
I bought this product and the description says Salt and Pepper grinder. Also pictures display 2 grinders, basically 2 grinders packed into 1 box. Also my order showes 2 grinders packed in one box. March, and I received an office chair on 13th March. Its the first time I have ever received such a blatantly incorrect item, but I can understand that mistakes happen so promptly contacted their customer service.
Second problem, there is no one to call and is all done via email. I finally get a response on 16th March offering a return label so I can return the office chair which I accept, then have to wait until 17th March for them to provide the label.
Third problem, their response times are really poor. So after being forced to wait 24 hours for them to send me the label I took the item to the post office to return, but Aus Post have no record of the label. I have to come back to the post office later that day and still the label is not registered in their systems.
Forth problem, they sent an invalid label!
So I have now contacted them via email twice over the past 24 hours telling them to get their act together and sort this out, but am still without a response from them.
To have to continually wait for any form or communication is so abysmally poor, and given their clear lack of any form of robust internal; process to ensure these types of issue don; t occur, I am frankly not surprised now.
So here I am, writing a review about my very poor experience, with an office chair I don’t need and no clear communication on how Harvey Norman are going to resolve this for me.
Honestly some of the worst service I have had in a while from a retailer which are supposed to have a reputation, but clearly a terrible one in my eyes.

refund, which I am legally entitled to, but instead of resolving the issue, they are “waiting on the supplier” and acting only as a “facilitator.” This is not acceptable. Under Australian Consumer Law, the retailer is responsible for providing a remedy — not the manufacturer. The lack of accountability, delays, and poor customer service have been incredibly frustrating. I am now being forced to escalate the matter further.
