Halo hair straightener purchased August 2024 from hair house warehouse, June 2025 product was in use, placed item down on the counter and the outer… Read more

casing shattered exposing the ceramic plate and electrics. Contacted store and was advised to contact head office. This brand is exclusive to the company who sells it and they have refused to refund or exchange despite the 2yr warranty they advertise. Read previous reviews this seems to be a common situation.

Product is substandard and quite frankly dangerous, not by any means made to last and does not compare to similar items on the market despite the recommendation you receive at time of purchase from staff.

I have lodged an official complaint with consumer affairs and also made a product safety complaint.

Do not waste your money.

Not great – I have medium-thick curly hair. The straightener glided easily through my hair, but left a very burnt smell even on low temperature. This… Read more

straightener didn't keep my hair straight for more than half an hour, my hair became noticeably wavy after only 30 minutes. Would not recommend for thick curly hair.

Damaging my hair – This is the worst hair dryer that I have ever used. There are 3 heat settings - cold, hot and hotter. The cold setting is not enough to dry my hair… Read more

and the “medium” setting is so hot that it is damaging my hair. I’m not sure who would use the hottest setting because it would probably set your hair on fire. My hair has become like dry straw since using this product. I spent over $200 thinking that I was investing in a good product but I will need to buy a new hair dryer if I want to get my hair healthy again. This is not good for thin hair. Very disappointed!

Very happy – I did alot of internet research for a curler and it was just too confusing so I went to my local hair warehouse and asked and she did a demo on my… Read more

hair with the halo Marilyn and I loved the curl. I have neck/chin length choppy edgy bob and my hair has a natural curl but gets frizzy easy. I can use the halo and it tames the curl nicely. The lady in the shop strongly suggested a heat styling product which cost $30 to spray in my hair before curling, to protect from heat and help the curl hold its shape. I can control the size curl depending on whether I curl in small or large sections. I wouldn't consider myself a pro on hair stuff, I don't spend alot of time getting hair or make-up perfect. This curler is quick, heats up quick, just the 1 temp (bloody hot!) And turns off itself if I forget. Easy!

Love it – I’ve had my straightener for over a year now and it works great, it heats up fast, the temperature is adjustable and the plates are smooth on my hair making it easy to straighten or curl.

Don't waste your money! – Very poor quality. Hair doesn't stay straight despite putting relevant heat protectors prior. By the time you start straightening another section,… Read more

your hair goes back frizzy. Worst straightener I've ever owned. Not worth the money. No customer service number to contact for support. Very disappointed with this product. I hope this review helps others with their decision when choosing a straightener.
