We bought the Yakima Flod Click 2 retail $1000.00 on advise to use on our tow ball hitch After only 10 uses mixed long and short travel it has… Read more

broken 4 times and isnt fit for Australian conditions the hoop mount is poorly designed and only fixed by 2 x m8 bolts which fail continually 3x The Lugs sheared out 1x Became stuck and locked on tow ball 1x The hoop is not welded as other units are? such as just click 2 The rack was used only on Australian bitumen highway surface We were then told we were over using it ? Although they remedied the poorly designed continual broken hoop mount and sheared lug problems We wouldnt recommend The Yakima tow ball bike racks They are not suited to Australian conditions and should but dont meet the demands for any trip, long or short!

An excellent investment – I purchased my bike rack so manage my e-bike. I have been loading and unloading the bike rack and bike twice a week for two months and I haven't had… Read more

a problem with it. I can lift it with one hand, place it on the tow bar easily, and have it set up in under 30 seconds. The only minor issue I have is when I'm loading my heavy e-bikeis the distance between the two wheel mounts - my front wheel drops in and needs a bit of fanangling to get it into place. I have carried three bikes and it worked fine (regular bikes are a little easier to position first go). It's half the price of the big name brand and it's still an investment, but it was well work the money for the ease with which I can get on the road.

Terrible - Caused Significant Damage To My Car – I installed the product exactly to Yakima's specifications, yet the product caused significant damage to my car: two large (expensive to repair)… Read more

dents.

I contacted Yakima who told me the product was not compatible with my car (Mazda CX9) - they even sent through a spec sheet to "prove" that was the case. Being sure I'd checked this in advance of buying, I triple checked and they had sent me the spec sheet for an incompatible model as "proof" - not the model I bought - which was in fact compatible.

I contacted Yakima gain and brought this to their attention - they apologised for their "mistake" and then stated that I must have installed it incorrectly.

I detailed that I had installed exactly as per their instructions, and they came back and stated that they were not liable for damage their product caused.

Be very very careful of this product, unless a few thousand dollars of damage is something you'd welcome.

Sturdy, easy to use, but concerns about secure attachment & longevity – Sturdy, easy to use, but concerns about secure attachment, locking mechanism, and longevity of locking mechanism - needs improvement. Lock and key… Read more

system is not obvious when locks, if not used right, it can get stuck on your car and you need to disassemble the mechanism. Safety pin is too small and insecure. But, super easy to use and steady on car.

See video review on YouTube: "Yakima HoldUp Evo 2 bike rack review: locking mechanism + issues".

bolts that won't prevent anyone from just prying the bracket off with a long screwdriver. The bolts are only good for toys and not a lightbar attached to a bt50 that goes off grid. I do not recommend this product from Yakima

The Yakima 46inch Windshield does not fit the Yakima Hd Trim crossbars. The cross bars are too wide and thick. The Windshield brackets do not fit onto the cross bars and the straps do not make it around the bars.
