Doesn't last. A problem model – Bought a Thinkware F770 4.5 years ago. Roughly every month it wants you to format the memory card which is a pain. Then at around two years it just… Read more

stopped working. Had to write a letter to them reminding them that even though it was out of warranty, consumers are protected by Merchantable Quality which the F770 clearly didn't meet expectations. They agreed to replace it. Now the replacement has packed up as well and I'll have to argue the point again.

I have a Thinkware F200 in our other car and it's been working fine for nearly six years.

Initially when I got the camera as a gift it all worked well how ever 2 years later I had issues with it recording videos on the SD card. Iv been in… Read more

touch with the support team which helped me update the software on the dash camera, reformat the SD card, reset everything how ever it still doesnt work. The issue is that when I go into the thinkware app and I try to watch the recordings it says "File not found" . No one from the support team could help me. I done everything they suggested but nothing worked. It was very disappointing today when they called me to advise that unfortunately the dash camera won't work and they cant fix it as its an "older" model and its out of its 2 year warranty. So they advised for me to get rid off it completely as its pointless. Very disappointing that it only lasted just over 2 years before having this issue. When the dash cam was purchased it was round the $700 mark. Just wanted to advise if anyone is wanting to get the Thinkware u1000 front and rear dash camera. DONT get it and save your money. The worse part is i got it hard-wired so now that I need to change dash cams I need to get the wiring re-done.

I have found the Thinkware U3000 a very expensive product that works OK, but needs multiple apps depending on what you are doing, each using a… Read more

different connection or platform! 1. Thinkware Dash Cam Link - for local Wi-Fi connection, settings and video downloads 2. Thinkware Connected - for cloud features like remote live view and notifications 3. Thinkware Dashcam Viewer - Windows 11 software to view recorded videos 4. Thinkware iVolt - to monitor your external battery via Bluetooth connection to your phone

My dashcam has been used for just on 1 year and was still working OK until I decided to install a Thinkware iVolt Max external battery.

This battery has been a complete nightmare, and doesn't work at all! After spending most of a day carefully positioning and wiring the battery exactly as the install instructions stated, and double checking all of the connections with a multimeter to ensure everything was working perfectly, this battery won't charge or turn-on the dash cam.

I am currently waiting for a reply from the retailer and distributor to see what will be offered to fix the 'dud battery situation'

In retrospect, I believe that Thinkware dashcams are expensive, overly complicated and from my experience, their external batteries don't work!

I don't think I would buy another Thinkware dashcam or accessory. My old Garmin dashcam in another car has never had a problem, but it doesn't have an external battery pack either!

UPDATE: I personally returned my faulty battery to the Australian distributor / service provider of Thinkware products, TDJA in Braeside Victoria. It took almost four business days, but after testing they too found that the battery supplied was defective and so replaced it and sent the new one by freight to my door!

A little slow, but a good outcome in the end, thank you TDJA and also [Name Removed] at Australian Dashcams who also help me get this problem sorted out!

The new iVolt battery seems to do everything it was supposed to, so happy days!
