Best Miele Cooktops

but after over a year the ceramic top has like scuff marks as in the photo (April 2024). In April 2025 I visited a relative in Germany who has Siemens cook-top EK 730 (bought in October 2006 and when she cooks she shakes the pans and the the ceramic top looks still very good (2025_04_ Siemens Photo) it's after 14 years. You can compare the quality of the ceramic of Siemens cook-top. Now on 09/09/2025 the ceramic of my Miele cook top is like "2025_09_09 Miele Scuff mark" photo. Although on 04/09/2024 I was given a Miele Ceramic and Stainless steel cook-top cleaner by the manger of Miele shop at Westfield Pitt Street Sydney. I tried to use it and it's no help. My perception is that the quality of Miele cook-top shall be superior than Siemens cook-top. This time I am disappointed with the quality of Miele cook-top. Function-wise is so far so good.

support. Given i paid a premium for the product and had a 10 year warranty. Boy was i in for a shock. Initial call was a 20 min wait, then when I kindly asked (as I have for other vendors) questions about the service call and my fees if it was not a product fault i was put through to a supervisor who argued with me for 20 min before agreeing to schedule the callout. I then got another call to schedule the visit but they left a message. So another 20 min wait and the new person was starting the process all over again, asking what the fault was etc. i asked kindly to have then read the note and schedule the call for the day it i was told in the previous call. When this did not happen i asked to talk to a supervisor. (see below).

It was perhaps the worst experience I have had with a home goods supplier. Another point is that the service call center in not in Australia, and while that is not an issue in general the people i spoke to were not easy to understand or communicate with. Further when I asked to talk to a supervisor i was told that supervisors don't take calls they only take emails. This is Miele - the top end brand with 'superior' service.
