the point where I needed my husband to get the bottle off and eventually neither of us to do it! We aren’t young so it ended up being a useless mop. I emailed Sabco for help and was told it the was tricky to remove and put cooking oil around the bit that goes into the mop. Anyway that was useless. I feel I’ve wasted my money on the mop. It wasn’t super expensive but it wasn’t cheap either. So I’m here to say don’t waste your money on this mop, get a Koh one. Cheers!

pedal broke away from the top connection. No excessive pressure when I used it, just a cheap chinese made bucket that they make a huge profit from. Bunnings replaced it so lets see how long this one lasts?

Just a heap of rubbish – Decided to try these microfibre mops because of the absorbent quality of other microfibre rags and towels I have and they're the biggest let down… Read more

ever. By design of the plastic part of the mop head you can't use them in a mop bucket because the head just pulls off the handle. If you release the pressure a touch when squeezing, ok the head stays on BUT the mop isn't dry enough and the floor floats in water, Had a close look at the inside of the mop head and it's an inferior and substandard design to try and hold it onto the handle. The mop head won't stay on with the simple click on mechanism that Sabco products use. Never again . Going back to Oates products with a mop that screws onto the handle and stays on and doesn't end up in the mop bucket. Had to give it one star because the system wouldn't allow for no stars.

Only good for light cleans – I wanted this for the convenience of being able to store both mop and bucket in a narrow gap between vanity and shower cubicle and for this it’s… Read more

perfect. And I do like being able to push up and down a few times in the lower section of the bucket to clean the mop head after each few passes (although it is not entirely effective) and then simply push down in the upper section to squeeze the excess water out. However to mop the floor with a head that is rigidly fixed at a 90* angle to the handle means one is mopping with the edge of the sponge rather than a larger flatter surface, and also that narrow gaps are almost impossible to mop unless you’re able to get directly above them. Furthermore, being only a soft sponge with no scourer patch, some spots still need hand scrubbing. So, I’m happy that it fits, and it will be quick and easy for light jobs, but I’ll still need to keep my heavy duty mop for tougher jobs.

Works well HOWEVER it’s a very poor design and probably won’t last the distance. You’re probably thinking it’s a mop and bucket how poor can the… Read more

design be !!!!!

For starters from wetting the mop to spinning it dry you have to keep releasing the plastic clip on the handle so it can spin in the water to wet and then get all the water out and then you clip it back to mop and then release clip again to rinse and dry the mop head and then you have to also clip the mop head so it’s vertical for wetting and drying the mop in the bucket and then you have to move the handle and clip it in place so it’s on an angle to clean, not only is it time consuming and the clipping and unclipping of ALL PLASTIC bits probably won’t last the distance because some of the plastic bits like at the mop head particularly are submerged in the water with bleach or floor cleaning fluids so they will eventually break down, all this mucking around just to wet, dry and mop the floor.

I’m disappointed it’s made an unpleasant cleaning task even more unpleasant because it takes longer now to mop the floor, you can’t be going in full speed ahead unclipping and clipping plastic bits in place because that’s how you break pieces off so you have to take your time. The design of the mop and bucket has been done by someone who obviously has never mopped a floor before, the bucket has a release plug at the bottom on the outside for ease of emptying the bucket and if it’s not tight enough water seeps out, mine mustn’t have been tight enough because I found a puddle of water under the bucket near the release plug, not to mention undoing that plug to empty the bucket and your hand gets filthy toilet floor water on it, yuck I hate it.

The spinning motion to dry the mop works and it does dry it very well it’s just an up and down motion with the handle AFTER you unclip the latch and alter the angle of the handle to be completely vertical, like I said my biggest gripe is all the plastic bits that need to be moved and clipped/unclipped they are bound to break.

A regular rectangle bucket and sponge mop would have been better.

Pics included for you to look at.

version, that didn't fit the old mop. A great ploy by Sabco's marketing team to have consumers, in the midst of a cost of living crisis, spend unnecessarily!! I then had to go back and spend more money on a new mop just so I could use the sponges. There is little to no glue on the fitting that attaches to the sponge and I have now been through 3 sponges in 3 months, in a little apartment. I even tried repairing with a hot glue gun to save me going back to Bunnings just so I could finish the floors. This is a terrible experience and one that will stop me ever buying a Sabco brand or any other brand associated with Sabco ever again.

Great mop, but they will not last long – We have bought this mop three times now, and every time the little dark green clasp on the top breaks off and the product becomes unusable. We use it so often, but now we might have to look for a brand that provides reliable products.
