toaster. There is a significant quality difference between Breville and Sunbeam. The coating is smooth and toast comes out golden brown on most breads. There was a smell initially, I think its the coating, but I got rid of it by spreading oil on the coating, heating it up and wiping the hot oil off.

Takes forever to heat up then the green light keeps going out during the cooking process. Also, trying to purchase the larger size bread to fit the appliance is another problem. Have never bought such an inferior product like this before. DO NOT waste your money on this product. Will most certainly make sure I read reviews on Product Reviews only from now on.

being used a handful of times. Breville offered me a discount on the next purchase but I would rather avoid throwing good money after bad. Don't buy it.

alleged max heat, for both plates, is a joke; let alone it should have been at least 300+ to actually grill something. Whether open or closed, the bloody thing just slow cooks stuff and that's it (:. Also, there is no slope toward the tray. After a few uses, it is still pristinely clean. Very, very disappointed by Breville. I will swap it for something that actually does the job at a blink of an eye. Good luck to the people giving it 5 stars!
