drum has failed. Repair cost exceeds the value of a replacement machine. The matching drier purchased at the same time also failed after 3 years. Dont waste your time and money and buy another brand. I had a Westinghouse front loader which I bought second hand in 2012 before renovating and buying the new ASKO machines in 2020. The Westinghouse was gifted to another family member and is still going.

For a premium Scandinavian brand at this price point, a core mechanical component failing within three weeks of purchase is unacceptable. This is not a wear issue, it is a factory defect.
A quick search confirms door latch failure is a known recurring issue across the Asko range, which raises serious questions about quality control.
I am currently seeking warranty resolution and will update this review based on how promptly and effectively Asko responds. At this stage I cannot recommend this brand to others considering a significant appliance investment.

delivered to Harvey Norman for them to deliver - at additional cost of course! Then the machine failed within 2 weeks of installation. The door keeps claiming that it is not closed so will not begin washing. It was almost impossible to obtain satisfaction from the “customer service” and required repeated insistence that what was offered was not acceptable. A local Technician did visit quickly once that was agreed to but sadly was unable to fix the fault. Additional replacement parts were ordered but took longer than acceptable to arrive and still didn’t fix the issue. We now are waiting for Asko to contact us regarding replacement of the machine. Who knows how long this is going to take. I purchased a “premium” product at a price that is extremely “premium” however the service certainly is not commensurate with the price. I responded to an email request from Asko to provide a review to them which they then refused to publish because it was not “within their guidelines”??? Of course they would not want the truth made available to other customers so I will complete reviews wherever I can to assist others to avoid the same ordeal.
