Hi 1 Cover,
I tried to seek a quote for contents insurance in Chifley NSW. The quote form said that you don't provide cover for that area. But it is in the Sydney metro area!? Is there any reason for this?

Page 6 of the PDS, Part A, states that carpets (fixed) are NOT covered under standard residential policy.
I take it, means normal floor carpets are not covered against damage from storm water, even considering the other conditions of "not covered items"?
Hi Ian, Yes, you're interpreting that correctly. However, please note that on page 7 of the PDS (Part A), carpets - fixed and unfixed, are covered under your contents insurance. So, while carpets (fixed and unfixed) are not covered under home insurance, they will be covered under contents insurance.
