asked her to confirm time which she didn’t reply to. I then messaged on the day of the cleaning to check time and she said she couldn’t do that day, offering the following week. We agreed, but she couldn’t confirm a time. I then messaged her on the morning of the cleaning to confirm when she would arrive. Her reply was “ Could we do it next week cause I have appointment today. Sorry.”. That’s the end of the experience - if we’d continued down this path, we might have had our house cleaned 10 days after when we booked it, or she might have cancelled again.

Quite disappointed – I get that the price point is great and we have quite a big house but was left quite disappointed with the service provided. The shower screen still had soap scum all over it, bathroom tap had spots on it, bedroom floor had hair still all over and there were marks all over the oven, microwave, splash back and mirrors.

moved to Australia. So I gave verbally instructions and told her what needed to be done- skirting boards and then general house clean and steam mop. This was also written down in a book on the table with a 3 page intro of our house and what we needed done. She was on a phone call, had a lots of notifications coming through and not focused. Her cleaning was under average, with water marks still on mirror and windows, sinks not cleaned, bins not moved to vacuum or mop under, bins not emptied, house not vacuumed properly. NO SKIRTING BOARDS WERE CLEANED! The one specific tasks I asked! I offered her a glass of water which she left on the bench half full, not placing it into the dishwasher and did not pack away the cleaning supplies back into the basket, leaving more mess for me to clean when she left. I found all the microfibres she used in my recycling bin, these are high quality that I purchased new for her. She opened packs of wipes wrong and then put them back in the basket on their side so all the liquid drained into the basket. She did not unplug my vacuum from the charger so used it while the charger was still connected, and left the dirty pad on the steam mop. Absolute Domestics have been EXTREMELY unhelpful! I called 7 times and went to voicemail! I have sent 3 emails and no email back! I have spoken to 3 people who will not process a refund! The cleaner messaged me asking if I took her off for ongoing shifts, very unprofessional. They can’t get in contact with the cleaner. This is breach of Australia Consumer Law, “Service providers must carry out all services using an acceptable level of care and skill. Their work must be at least as good as what a competent service provider with average skills and experience would provide. They must also take reasonable steps to avoid causing loss or damage when providing the service.” When I told Absolute Domestics this they said “you have to do what you have to do” I have provided all the evidence needed and they said they can’t do anything until they hear from the cleaner! This is the worst experience with a cleaning company! They told me her VISA wasn’t adding up as she told me she moved to Australia 2 weeks ago but on her VISA it said she moved here in September. a bug in the app. While I was trying to resolve the issue with support, [Name Removed] sent me a letter threatening legal action and saying a summons would be issued….literally the same day the support team is trying to help me! [Name Removed] also responded with a very rude attitude throughout the process. It really felt like there was no care or understanding for cleaners at all.
I repeatedly asked for a bank account number so I could pay the fees while the portal was not working, but no alternative payment option was provided.
The whole situation has been extremely frustrating, unfair and completely unprofessional.

Their cleaners are a hit and miss. May get one that’s good others are not. Unreliable. Work for a couple of weeks and then resign. The company keeps asking for a review after the first clean. Keep sending texts to see if the cleaner did their weekly cleans or missed - feel like they don’t trust their cleaners to pay the agency fee?

I tried to get a quote for a weekly cleaning service, which is advertised as $99 for 2 hours—unless the payment is through NDIS or a government agency. In that case, they give you a different quote. This feels like a scam. I'm tired of getting two different prices just because of government funding.
