Adventure Kings Fridges/Freezers Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi just asking I have a code on the left zone temp screen LL could you let me know them problem an is there a button sequence to fix it .
HI there Kev, Thanks for reaching out. If the temperature display is showing 40 Deg/LL/HH, the thermistor may need to be cleaned with contact cleaner or alcohol (accessible behind cover in fridge bin).

Hi I have an upright 110l fridge/freezer and when I turn it on the temperature displays for a few seconds then E3 comes up.
Kara
Hi Kara, An E3 error on our fridges usually indicates and issue with the motor starting up on the unit. We generally recommend unplugging the unit entirely, then restarting after a 5 minute wait. If this does not fix the issue for you, we would recommend reaching out to our team at social@4wdsupacentre.com.au with your order details for further assistance.

My 65L Kings fridge shows no error code but the compressor does not turn on and it does not chill. I have set it to -18C but it is only at 7C (and that is just because I have put ice blocks in with the contents). It shows 13V and I have it on the lowest protection mode. I have tried leaving it off for an hour and then restarting it, but no change. Is there anything I can do?
I am only hoping that your fridge freezer is still under warranty because otherwise Kings DONT WANT TO KNOW YOU I had a similar situation where my freezer side would not go past -12degrees got told buy them that the condenser freezes up and to thaw it out outside for awhile then try again made ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE and because I was just outside the warranty they said OPS SOORRY NOTHING WE CAN DO . So my suggestion by an ENGEL and it will out live you Kings SUCK

Hi I have a adventure kings 90l fridge freezer only a year old, connected to a kings 120amp lithium battery. The battery gets charged by my vans main battery when its running. I find that when the van is turned off I only get about 4 hrs until its drops voltage and then the fridge freezer turns off. Is this normal?
Hi Ross, This could depend on a variety of factors. Feel free to contact us on social@4wdsupacentre.com.au with a screenshot of this question and we can definitely have a look into this for you! Cheers, Courtney
Hi i have a Kings Fridge Freezer but not a combo, i predominantly use the freezer mode set at -18c, it reaches the desired temp but the fan runs continuously, is this correct, thank you.
Hi Terry, We are sorry to hear you are facing issues with your Fridge/Freezer. Once the fridge has reached the desired temprature the compressor will turn off until needed again to prevent unnecasrry power drawer from the unit.
If your fridge is not doing this, there may be a few differnet factors to this. As you have set the fridge to the lowest temprature possible, it will take a lot more effort to reach and keep that temprature, meaning it is more likley to need to keep the compressor on to stay that cool. There is also some extrenal factors you would need to keep in mind as well, such as the ambient temprature around the unit, and how well ventaliated you have the unit.
If you would like for us to look into this further for you, we would recommend either bringing the unit down to your closest company store so our team can assess, or alterntively, you can reach out to our team directly at social@4wdsupacentre.com.au.

I have kings 90 ltr dual zone fridge freezer. It worked great for a week but when I was in Cairns for a few days the car was on 12 volt system with a Solar panel charging setup. I was parked under a big Mango tree for a few days and the battery went flat. After starting the car the main battery charged the other battery and the unit started working again but only the freezer side... There no error codes to and I've tried resetting it by turning off power etc. But no change... Even on 240 volts only the freezer works...what would the problem be?
Hi Junior, We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your fridge/freezer. If only one of the sides is turning on, we would recommend trying to turn on that particular side. If you have the MKI version of the fridge, you can turn on the side by pressing and holding on both the + and - buttons at the same time. If you have the newer MKII fridge, you would need to press and hold the + and setting buttons if it is the left side of the unit, or press and hold the - and setting buttons if it is the right side of the unit.
If this does not help fix the issue, please reach out to us directly by either giving us a call at 1800 88 39 64 or via email at social@4wdsupacentre.com.au so we can best help with resolving this issue for you.

Hi, I have a new display for the 75L dual zone. The display is stuck on -20 and won’t move past it or kick in the compressor. My old display kicks in the compressor but does not show any light on the display. How can I fix this ?

Got wet and control panel stopped working replaced it and it read -20 and won"t start
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out, we're very sorry to hear the item may have been damaged by water, while it's difficult to say without looking at the item, it may be as simple as replacing the control board.
Regards, Andrew
Hi we have a 90lt dual zone. The freezer side displays -31 even though we have it set at -2. Have tried power off to reset but doesn't fix it. Can u help.
Hi Deborah, While it is tough to troubleshoot without being able to see the unit, the standard check would be to totally disconnect the unit, hold the power button for 15 seconds then reboot it, should the issue occur past this point we would recommend running the unit by one of our main storefronts so that we may assist from there.

I have a 85 ltr upright fridge It’s been working in my caravan permanently for 7 months As I never turn it off have a 200 amph lipo from kings also Battery is fine never goes below 13 volts Now I traveled to Victoria am there now -1-4 too fridge after full reset runs freezes I open door get an item out and shut door it stops very very annoying No bumpy roads from port Macquarie to here I have done the hard reset5 times same thing why worked just sitting for 7 months The surfing prospector YouTube
Hi Wayne, Thank you for reaching out, it's hard to advise based only on the text here, however if you are located nearby to one of our main storefronts we could go over the unit for you with some troubleshooting, which may be your best bet.
Regards, Andrew
I am in Victoria near Bendigo But heading home soon And will go into Newcastle one ok Be around Monday week
60L staycool fridge- The temp readout is always at 30 degrees, as a result the fridge is always on and the internal temp is well below zero. Broken Thermistor?
Hi Rob,
Thank you for reaching out, we cant be certain without testing the unit, however the thermistor would be the most likely culprit or otherwise may be its connection to the control board.
Regards, Andrew
Hi,we have a 90 Ltd duel zone stay cool unit, has been fantastic with no problems until now. It keeps reading e1, I have been online and done everything advised with both cords we run it solely on 24 v have tried everything but it still comes up with error code! We also live outback Qld closest place Mt Isa, so cannot rush into a shop and get it checked.
Hi there, Thank you for the message, while it's challenging to advise without being able to go over the unit, should you have confirmed on more than one cable, and can ensure that the battery is above the cutoff the next most likely would be that the socket it is plugged into may not have a secure connection as rapid short drops of power can also trigger E1 errors.
Regards, Andrew
Once my battery voltage drains to about 12.6v the compressor fails to start but the fan still runs. No error code appears. Fridge slowly increases in temperature. Fan turns on more frequently, compressor remains off. Still no error code. Is this a common issue? I'm using the older model 45L fridge and have set the low voltage cut-out to lowest setting and am hoping this might fix the issue but I have my doubts.
I should add that the fridge works fine when using the supplied 240V adapter which has an output of about 14.6v. I am also using a new agm battery and do not have voltage drop issues in the circuit I plug the fridge into or in the fridge cable. Cheers!
Hi there,
It's hard to say with only the contextual section, if by some stroke of luck would you be located close to any of our stores as we can get the unit looked at.
Regards, Andrew
Should it when set to freezer be running all the time? It is on-10 and packed with pre frozen stuff?
Hi Lorraine,
Thank you for reaching out, at that temp it would likely need to run at a lower setting to maintain those temperatures in most ambient temp ranges.
Regards, Andrew
Bought a 75 litre stayzcool fridge freezer today. The lids seem really strong and was wondering if anyone sits on them. I weigh 83 kgs, looks like it will hold up?
Hi Clive,
Thank you for the question, while it wouldn't immediately be damaged we would recommend against it as you would slowly cause warping which would cause the seals to lose efficiency and increase the power use.
Regards, Andrew
My 45 litre fridge has the same problem as many others who write here. I too get the E1 code when it starts on 12v and stops. It’s not the power source as many people are being told. It’s been working fine till now. Is there a systemic problem with these fridges that you can share so we can get them working again? This is the second Kings fridge that I have owned to have the same problem. Working fine for a long time then this happens. Very, very frustrating.
Hi Brian, this is generally caused by either low voltage being received, or a touchy connection, should you be getting the voltage required to the socket I would advise its more than likely the cable being pinched and not providing continuous input which can trigger E1.
Regards, Andrew
Hi. How do you adjust the temperature on the freezer side of the unit? There's one + and one - button on the left side near the fridge temp display and only regulates the fridge temperature.
Hi Tracey, Thank you for taking the time to leave this question, this does depend on which model of fridge you have, with that said if you locate the item on our main store page, under the specifications section you can find the unit manual which generally outlines the process for individual bin settings.
Regards, Andrew
