Hi! We bought an AEG Lavamat about 3 years ago. The salesman from Harvey Norman said the machine will adjust the water temp according to the clothes we put in. I'm noticing the water doesn't get hot even if I put the machine on cotton setting or hot setting. When you check the hose on the wall, you could only see a hose connected to the cold tap (no hose connected to the hot water supply). Is this an installation mistake or will the machine turn the cold water into hot water?

Installation is correct. Machine does the heating. You can check water temp as water is emptied from drum. A hot wash will empty warm/hot water in first empty cycle. If it's cold on a hot cycle get it checked.

Hi Marie, My machine is only connected to the cold water tap too. The machine is meant to heat the water to the right temperature. Agree with Toti, if you think the water is not heating up then you'd probably be wise to contact AEG or Harvey Norman. Good luck with that !

My Lavamat Front loader takes water in only from the prewash for the past 2 days. The washing powder and softener stays in there compartments. Whats wrong?

Hi Ruurd, I had similar issues. Just replaced Inlet Valve Assembly (solenoid issues) and working. Part cost approx. $100.

Hi Gilly, Well, looks like AEG is able to help you with this. I haven't tried to change the door opening side but on my machine it looks like this would be a possibility, although you would need a different door.
