I understand that - but i need to know for statutory parts supply. If I can't get a reply from AEG I shall advertise this piece of rubbish on every advertising platform i can find for its original price and point its deficiencies and the fact that AEG cant even answer phone calls or even give their own dealers an answer. It does not work and cant get parts just over 7 years from purchase. I have had other AEG products but same thing goes wrong - motherboard - can't get one anymore. For the money they are just not worth it. As an organisation - they do not deserve customer support, as they do not give their customers support. So i think they need to be exposed for the atrocious organisation that they are.

The Glass Shelf should sit inside the microwave below the metal one. It fits really well on the metal "guides" on either side and slide in and out. When you got the unit it will have a book and in the front it should show you everything that was in the box including the glass and metal shelves. If you did not get that, then AEG should be able to help you get a replacement as it should have been in the box with the oven.

We won't be buying another one from AEG. It's not very practical, hard to clean the grill part and the microwave part does not heat to 1000watts. It's been replaced and tested by AEG several times and there's been no resolution. Things that should take 60 seconds to heat up are taking 2 minutes +. We'll be going back to Panasonic when the AEG unit eventually breaks down. And it will. The product is not very good, despite the price.

No. You can leave it in as long as your microwave dish is not too tall. I use it a lot for cheese on toast.

Hi, no. the metal rack is above the glass shelf. That shields the metal from the microwave beams/rays. You can use both at the same time I believe, but we haven't tried this. Only tried one or the other at different times. The grill heating is quite good and heats up reasonably quickly.

It is a little hard to clean the ceiling of the microwave where the heating element is, so try not to cook anything that might "spatter" onto the roof/ceiling of the microwave as it will be very difficult to clean. I wouldn't do really fatty food like sausages or burgers on there unless you do them on really low heat or you will be forever trying to clean it.

My model has a glass turntable. I put nearly everything on this. I have taken the glass shelf out and only use it if i have the griller on.

Ditto to Susan's answer, ours has a turntable, use it for most things.

Very simple. There is a single button that when pressed turns on the microwave at 1000watts for 30seconds. Every time you push the button it adds another 30sec, so pressing the one button 4 times will give you 2 minutes. This is the best feature of this product. We use it all the time when warming drinks, etc.

I would not recommend using this product perform any cooking that would make a mess in the oven as it is really difficult to clean because of the holes in oven for the microwave make it impossible to use oven cleaners or liquids.

It is very good at heating pies because you can have the microwave and grill on at the same time. This leads to nice hot pies with crisp pastry.

One thing that AEG should do with this product is to bring out a good "how to" guide as you have to experiment to work out how to use all the functions which you should not have to do.
