On initial plug in it shows all settings for just a second then then all lights go out leaving s power light. I can't find anything pertaining to this situation online or in my manual. Please help!

Hold your finger on the red triangle power light for about 5 seconds, and it will turn on

I have the Sous Vide svs 1000 (stick type) from Aldi and I keep getting error message 1 which is water level too low or too high. My water level is fine but my Sous Vide only runs for 10 seconds, beeps six times, shuts off and gives me the error er1. Any suggestions?

It's a standard IEC power lead, a Jackson 1.2 metre one can be purchased at Bunnings for $5.80.

Did you find one? I did the same and haven’t been able to find one to fit since. Barely used the slow cooker as well :-(

Does anyone else have a problem with this soul vide not holding the set temperature and exceeding it by as much as 10 degrees? I sous vide some duck breasts, should have been about 54 degrees and when I tested it with a digital probe thermometer it was a one stage almost seventy degrees. I’m not sure I could recommend this machine with its wild temp fluctuations.

The Sous Vide side of my unit seems to maintain the temperature pretty well. With a digital thermometer & the unit set to preheat 56 degrees, it beeped at 71 degrees but dropped back to heat mode quickly after putting my food pouches in & pressing start.

It maintained the 56 degrees well.

The slow cooker side of the unit is lacking being way too slow but maybe good for cakes!

What's the highiest temperature ambiano sous vide can take? For steaks what temperature it should be?

Highest setting is 90C although I can't see doing Sous Vide at that temperature. As a starting guide, Steak Sous Vide temperatures. Rare 53C, Medium Rare 57C, Medium 62C and Medium-Well 68C. Cook for approximately two hours and finish off on a griddle or BBQ Grill. Please realize this is a guide only and experimenting yourself should give you the results you want.
