As long as connected to hot water pipe always takes that in preference, unless a cool wash is selected, then cold water is taken and heated up to set temp, as easier to control temp thst way. At 40°C it takes a mix. Excellent machine keep it vlean and it will last decades

So if hot water is taken, it is also heated to the requested temperature?

So you are saying that when it is connected to hot water (as well as cold), it does NOT heat the water, but if only connected to cold water, it WILL heat the water? So if I want my machine to get to the correct temperature, I should disconnect the hot water connection?

I haven't had this problem before when anything happens to my washer l phone for an engineer (l pay monthly cover which is very reasonable ) so l'm sorry that l cannot help you but do hope that you will get it sorted out soon .

Just put on a wash today , use the string to open the door , I can get a new catch in the UK for £15 , however à call out is around £150 , which is too expensive , why use plastic and metal together , obvious the plastic will disintegrate after a while .

Tonight I have had the same issue! The door will not open. I have put it on another wash hoping that would fix it, as well as turning it off hoping it would reset, but no luck.. How on earth do I get the door open, with a full wash inside...

Go on You Tube Shows you how with strong cord round the door you can release the catch . Not good to put a metal catch into a plastic housing , as the plastic does not stand up to metal .

Dear Ana, it would be best to stop the wash then activate drain and open the door to take what you need form your machine, thank you Ariston brand.

when I had my Ariston (and with my current machine) I do a monthly maintenance wash. With an EMPTY machine, hottest water setting and longest program, put bicarbonate of soda in the detergent drawer and white vinegar in the rinse/fabric softner compartment. NEVER use fabric softners as they cause a buildup of scum on the drum. Hope this helps!

your drum support bearings need replacing by the sound of it To be sure the drive belt needs to be disconnected and then rotate the drum manuely to see if your problem is still there. Good quality bearings and seals are importent also.

Hi BrigitteB, No, there is no lint filter in front load washers of any brand. Due to the gentle nature of their wash cycles they do not create lint like a top loader does. If you accidentally wash clothing with things in the pockets these will go through to the pump with can be cleaned out when needed. The instructions on how to do this are in the user manual.
