Asko T784CHP Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 35904177 and T784CHPHello I am looking to purchase a new washing machine and dryer from the current Classic range and I will need to stack the dryer on top. I’ve read this is possible but can you please confirm if I can also turn the dryer upside as I won’t be able to reach top control panel if I don’t turn Thanks in advance
I have a T784hp dryer. I would like to know if I am able to choose a low temperature setting like you can on most dryers? That way I can dry garments that say dry on warm or low settings.
I have the T408HD...I bought it mid 2018 to go with the new washing machine. It runs really well, BUT...I have a question about the new so-called "Butterfly Drying". If I put a couple of sheets in, they ALWAYS end up in a rolled up ball. Same with towels. It happens whether I dry straight out of the washing machine, or am just finishing them off after they've been on the line for a while. What is going on with that? Am I doing something wrong?
I bought this dryer for the holiday house because my other one (T784HP) is really terrific and doesn't cause the sheets etc to roll up into a bal
I am so nervous, I purchased the ASKO washing machine and dryer today total outlay $3300 dollars. After reading the reviews I am so worried, have I done the right thing? should I have gone with Miele for the money I have just forked out? :(
Since my review I had the technician out again. He put in a 5 cent o-ring and solved the problem. It will never do a good job on a queen sized doona cover (tangles) but overall I am happy with it now.
Brook: I was just like you... I read the reviews after buying. I was so worried that I'd lost my money especially when their phone service was so abysmal. I'm not so troubled now.
This is my second ASKO, I purchased the washing machine and dryer in 2003. They both still work, the dryer barely and the washing machine just doesn't wash 'clean' any more. I have been so very happy with these products that is why I bought the same again. I did a lot of research into Bosch, Miele and the ASKO. I have always been so happy with the metal seal on the ASKO and my machines were made in Sweden. Since reading the reviews of the new models that have since been made in Slovenia I am concerned. Hopefully I won't have any issues, especially for the cost.
We had ASKO in Sydney and never had any problems. In Brisbane we did. kitchen and laundry and put in Miele. No end of trouble with the laundry items and after a FEW YEARS we replaced the Miele washing machine with ASKO. That was 15 years ago and to date no problems.
Have an asko T784HP dryer would like to know if it is ok (and if so which cycle) to dry cotton t -shirts without risking shrinkage?
Thank you Marea
HI Marea, We cannot guarantee whether the t-shirts will shrink or not as it totally depends on the material, whether they are meant to be tumble dried or not. What we can recommend you try, will be to set it on auto dry with minimum temperature and spin speed and see if that helps. Kindly also make sure all the filters are clean as if they are not clean then that can create excess heat as well.

I just wanted my woollens load to dry completely without shrinking, yet the manual that comes with the dryer is very illusive about which setting suit this purpose best... Can someone from asko please point me to the correct setting since I absolutely refused to "chance" any of my woollen by trying each setting out.
Hi Sal L If the garment says it can be tumble dried, Any setting should be fine as long as its at low heat and do not select extra dry. Any more questions please feel free to contact our service team on 1300 002 756

I have a T784CHP and got a message saying to clean condenser. However what happened is that the self cleaning filter was full of water. Is that normal?
Hi Nina...your question made me check out the condenser on my machine and as far as I can see it is normal as my auto filter ALSO had water in it. Must remind myself to clean the evaporator and filter and condenser filter more often
I'm sure someone from ASKO will be around to also answer your question as they monitor the site and are really pretty helpful with stuff like this
Cheers

Thanks Lilly for your comment.
My issues is more that the little pocket where the autofilter goes gets full of water and wets the water container.
Kylie, thanks for your kind response. I've sent you an e-mail and looking forward to your response.
Hi, What is the main difference between the 784 and the 754 heat pump dryers?
Also, why is the installed power capacity/draw considerably more on the 784 model.
Many thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike...I think the 784 has a couple more drying programs...as for the capacity draw size, I don't know. Sorry. Maybe the ASKO person who monitors the site will be able to help you, or alternatively, you could check the ASKO website and do a comparison between the two. Sorry i couldn't be more help
Many thanks Lilly
Is there a difference between the T784CHP and the T784HP? Also my dryer arrived upside down. Will this cause a problem?
Hi debbs, The correct model number is the T784CHP. If T784HP was stated, this may just be a typing error. But they would be the same model. There shouldn't be any issues caused by the machine being delivered upside down.
