I have the Asko W6021 washing machine. Does anyone know the fastest wash cycle. Normal takes around 40 minutes. Does anyone know if any of the other sessions are faster?

I have had good operation from my Asko W6021 until recently when no water would come into the machine. I replaced the three way valve and it came back into operation but now it will only do a two hour wash whereas I always used it on a #5 quick wash. Can the mother board be reset in some way??

Hi, I have an Asko W600 which has been going strong but now has a bit of a metal rattle sound coming from the drum . I guess it's the brushes as they haven't been changed in 21 yrs. Also the spin cycle (5) seems to leave clothes wetter than normal. Wondering what the part number is for replacement brushes for the Quattro W600 (bought and is located in UK). Can anyone tell me the drum capacity and washing weight capacity (KG) for this model. I can't find it written anywhere in the manual. I will be gutted if i have to give up on this machine ... it has never given me a single problem .. well .. other than a mould smell.

My Asko Washing Machine W6021 is leaving brownish marks on clothes, sheets etc. Some marks are flaky others are stains and cannot be removed while wet. Could this be a drum problem? My machine is now 20 years old and has been working well until now. Any ideas please.

I'd say that either there's a bit of dirt built up somewhere or something in the machine is beginning to corrode. try running some cleaning agent in a hot wash cycle to clean the machine out. if that doesn't work call Asko and ask for technical support.

Thanks Gary. The machine is not connected to hot water but think I'll get a service call organised as Step 1. Thanks again.

My Asko w6021 will not start. It has power. When the start button is pressed i hear the click of the solenoid but nothing happens after that. It doesn't start the cycle.

How do I over-ride the temperature presets on the cycles? I want to wash in cold water. My machine has only a cold water hose & has an in-built heater.

To tell you the truth i don't remember. I used to mainly wash in cold water on the normal cycle. I haven't had the asko for about a year or so so i don't remember too much about it.

I have this same problem!

Even when I select ‘cold’ on the temperature dial, the machine still washes warm on the synthetic cycle. Does this happen when the dial is rotated to other cycles as well? I assumed that the temperature dial would over-ride the cycle setting. How can I get the machine to wash in cold water?

I never used the synthetic cycle. I think it's preset. I can't think of how you'd over-ride it. I don't remember if it has its own heater. If it does you can't over-ride it. If it doesn't then turn off the hot water tap.

How many bath sheets can I put into a normal load if it’s a 6kg machine?

Depends on how big they are. And how much water theyll absorb. But remember that overloading your machine causes greater wear. Dont overload your machine. I wouldnt go over four bath towels.

My Asco W6021 washing machine, seldom used, has a bottom front clean out problem. The sealing plug won't screw in and it leaks badly. What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks Victor

Good day, My Asko 6021 doesn't respond when I turn it on. It does make a sound but nothing happens. I ran a load perfectly fine earlier in the day but then I tried to rinse something and it only made this noise and nothing happened. Also, I turned it to spin and the same noise is present but nothing happens. Thanks Claire

I have a Asko W6021 for over 10 years now with no problem until now. I press the (start/stop) button to begin wash cycle but does not do anything. I have tried 'troubleshooting' with no luck. Can you please advise me as to why it's doing this?

gary

All i can advise is to hold the button down a bit longer. I found that with a quick press it didn't commence washing.

I’ve owned my Asko W6021 for over 12 years and it has run well. Recently, the machine has ended its cycle while still full of suds. I’m talking a massive load of bubbles falling out of the door, not just dirty water. We need to put it through a full cycle or two again to get a properly rinsed and spun load. We have not changed detergents. Any idea how to fix this?

We have the asko W6021. The detergent door won't close. I can't tell what it is hitting to stop it closing. It isn't the red spring mechanism underneath or anything I can see from the outside. It is about an inch from closing, and the obstruction is hard not soft. Any ideas?

Sorry, no idea. You could take try and the lid off and have a closer look - but take care with the power cables.

My machine squeals when it spins and now the tub won't turn at all. I've taken back off and took belt off. Cleaned the tub with steal wool and the belt. Now I can't get tub to spin to get the belt back on. Would the be another issue, with maybe the motor?

I don't know but this could be the main bearing. I had to buy a new machine because I wasn't confident attempting to buy and replace the bearing.

My asko w6021 takes off almost as loud as a 747. So noisy even 2 doors shut doesn't block it out. Otherwise machine ok. I have heard packaging left behind will create this and fix if removed. My unit is sealed at bottom and top so ????? Any suggestions please? Regards Kerrie
