Hi Irene, R5 is outdated model and also will not be able to connect to the current 4G we suggest purchasing a new mobile phone from big W such as the F50.

Purchased Aspera Buzz yesterday. Set up the phone and all went well. Ran Youtube (first such video) and the screen went black after around 5 seconds. Cannot get the screen to operate since but when I turn on the phone the screen gets slightly lighter but still blacked out. Lasted less than 30 minutes. Mate if you want us to support an Australian business who purchase their products from generic Chinese manufactures then quality control needs to be addressed. Its your business and reputation.

I have new (out of the box)aspera buzz. Keeps shutting down every few minutes. Phone seems hot to the touch. Managed to complete set up the phone shut down and won't restart

What size sim does an aspersions R5h take and where do they go in the phone
This Aspera A50 is crap 2 weeks old and the bottom half of the touch screen is unresponsive, the important touches, contacts messages call ect
Hi Dave, If the phone is 2weeks with a fault as such that your experiencing you should take it back to the retailer and ask for a refund.

What size sim and where does it go
My R5 has stopped working. I've taken it to several repair shops but once they see the brand they say they can't fix it. I've purchased a new Aspera phone but all my photos are saved to the old device (not the SIM card). Who will fix these phones so I can get my photos off?
Hi Kevin, Did you use SD card with this phone '? if so you can view photos and move the SD card into a new phone.

No SD card was used for the old phone but I have purchased a SD card for the new phone, a Jazz2. The new phone is saving my new photos to the phone too. How do I change this over to save to the SD card?

When I do Factory Reset on Aspera R5, the device kept on doing "Andriod is upgrading" seems never ending (so far it was doing over 2 hours). Any known issues on Factory Reset and how can I stop "Android is upgrading" process?

My ASPERA R5 won't turn off but if I hold down the power it'll give me the options to shut off, go into airplane mode etc. Is there anyway I can fix this or will I have to get a new phone?

where do i get my r 5 fixed?
I think most quick mobile phone repairs shops might be able to fix the aspera or you can contact cell 8 and ask them though, I'd recommend to buy a better mobile device
where do i get a replacement screen for aspera r5h?
Perhaps you could call cell 8 and ask their employee or sometimes the quick repairs shops sometimes stock parts
The bluetooth wont turn on. Has anyone else had this problem with your r5?
No haven't had this problem as I chucked away my aspera r5h and bought a better android smartphone
Have heard the R5 only runs on 2G, can anyone please clarify this
2G is GSM 900, GSM1800 or CDMA 900. Australia has no CDMA 900 anymore anyway. You need to force it to choose WCDMA.... You can go into network settings under mobile networks, and force it to work on WCDMA, however in auto mode it should be selecting the 3g network anyway. If it is not doing this, you may need to make a warranty claim. Hope this helps

Sim 2 runs on 2g though sim 1 works on 3g though, it's hard to get the sim card in the slot and even harder to get the sim card out but you could always buy a another mobile device but I'd recommend not to buy the aspera r5 system and buy a better smartphone - even the aspera r6 is better

I'd recommend the same - chuck the Damn thing away and buy a better mobile phone
My hubby just got one, he put both sim card inserts in to check it out and now he can't get them out. HELP!
Hi Michelle. Yeah it's a pain, I've had to use a sharp pointed knife to stick in the back of the sim card to slide them out. Hope that helps
Mine was doing the same thing - try a pair of tweezers or perhaps Reggies answer might be able to help
why is my aspera phone in a continues self checking mode? cannot switch it on,Just keeps flashing up all this information .
It may be a good idea to call cell8 support which the number should be in your manual
Though i think it's better to buy a better mobile phone
