Baccarat Bio+ Questions & Answers
VerifiedDo the bio+ range Work on induction cooktops?
I’m upgrading to an induction cooktop - are my Bio+ induction compatible?
How can i buy some exactly like this
I bought mine from Robins Kitchen. external link . You can also try house.com.au or Amazon.
The glass lid on my Baccarat saucepan just exploded sending glass all over the kitchen and ruining the meal. Im now undure ehether I can trust any of the set. I bought it in October last year and was only usingnit as instructed. It was on the top of a pot of pasta simply boiling on the stove. If these do this they should be recalled. What recourse fo I have? I bought this gourmet set to last a lifetime snd now six months one has exploded. Please contact me and let me know what I can do. This product is dangerous.
Get in touch with the shop you bought it from or Baccarat directly to inform them of the problem and a compete refund etc. I have not heard of that happening. Might you have dropped it etc to have caised a crack to happen in the lid initially?
No cracks and no drops. Baccarat not answering phone. This product is dangerous and not fit for purpose.
My lid exploded. I have had two pots for a few years but only used them occasionally. Was quite frightening.
Hi Rosalie, I did get a replacement lid from the shop I bought the set from. They said it was not uncommon! I still use the set but if Im making something really special I don't use the lid. I use a plate or a steel lid from another saucepan instead. Not good enough.
Hi, What is the inside coated with is it taflon???
Will the baccarat 30+ roaster be ok in the oven 6 hours for shanks?
Hi, I’m not really sure as I personally never left mine in the oven for longer than a couple of hours of slow roasting but considering that I use it for frying on high temperatures too I’m guessing it should be ok. Maybe an idea to contact Baccarat directly with your question.
Regards,
Ireba
I contacted House Head Office, very helpful. My Question was discussed with a number of colleagues & definitely fine, even the lid. I was advised that if anything strange happened with the roaster during the process to calll them immediately. Super impressed. Thanks Ireba
Can i put in oven?
Baccarat website says yes
Hi, I bought some pots a while ago,and one now has a broken knob. The old one that has a steam out- let .Now I was wondering if u can still buy the part, and where from?
I spend a lot of time in Op Shops and l see a lot of lids like them there. You could measure the diameter of the pan and see if you might find one to fit at a very reasonable price.
No idea, sorry. Maybe ask the shop where you bought It?
I have a red baccarat po with silver handle and lid can this go in oven?

Thank you.
I am pleased that my pot is oven-proof.

Hi I bought a wok from fountain gate about 2 years ago supposed to be guaranteed for life. Has been used as it should and this is how it looks today. I have the picture but can't send it through this all I can say is that most of the coating at the bottom is gone. I want a new one to replace as I can't find the receipt, how can I go about it?
Hello Marie Interestingly when questioned about the 'lifetime guarantee' it does not apply to the non-stick coating on the pan. I advised Robin's Kitchen that this should be made very clear to the customer at the point of sale. The Baccarat brand is pretty much owned by Robins Kitchen and House stores so therefore it should be easy for them to make this clear. There is also no detail of this 'guarantee' on the packaging. With that in mind it will be even harder to exchange without a receipt but it is still worth a try or to make a point. They will remind you of the limits of the guarantee, look for scratches to the surface, argue about care of the pan and remind you that there is no proof of date of purchase. It would be good to remind them that all that should be clear on purchase and the the lifetime guarantee is misleading shoppers before and after purchase. You can also let them know you are using this website for a review of the shop and the product and could also contact ABC's The Checkout external link

Hi! It is very hard to maintain a non-stick surface on a wok. On the one hand non-stick pans should only be used on medium heat as best and on the other stir frying requires searing heat. It is best to buy a carbon steel wok from an Asian supermarket. They are only about $20. You need to season it first by adding a couple of cups of cheap salt to it and then heating it to a very high heat. Spread the salt out over the surface of the wok and leave it till it is really smoking. At that stage toss out the salt and wipe over the wok with a neutral oil like canola. Nothing will stick after that. Without a receipt I am afraid you are on your own and I doubt you will receive a refund.
Thanks all. But can you imagine my situation where I go to a house shop to buy another wok and tell the lady working there what happened to my last one. She tells me it's guaranteed for life and it should be replaced by baccarat and she told me not to buy another one. So I walked out of the shop and think about doing it. But bhow? ????

As a side note I am in the process of getting a resolution to my Baccarat purchases. My pans are just shy of 4 years old and two pans were replaced about 12 months after purchase. Have 3 of 4 receipts but feel the 4th shouldn't matter. VCAT is a very affordable option for consumers to bring rogues into line. No business what orders against them. Orders are a matter of public record so the smart ones will do the right thing even if they don't want to.
Hi, I was cooking on Sunday & my lid 'exploded' (popped), shards of glass went everywhere. Lucky I had my back turned at the time & my children were not in the kitchen. Not very safe. What do I need to do for a refund?
Thanks
Kay

Yes you can i do
Can you put baccarat bio cast aluminium frypans in oven and do you have to do anything to them before first use?
i have never tried to use them in the oven. I always wash my pans before use, but bothing else. I also never use them on the highest heat setting on the cooktop. It's not necessary with these pans.
I have only put mine in the oven on the grill setting and no i did nothing to it before hand
How do I get a refund for my horrible pans? have receipt etc
Hi billy,
I'm sure if you took it back to the shop you purchased it from and explained what was wrong they would help. Or you may need to contact the manufacturer directly.
