very condescending tone at times felt like he was clutching at straws, in the end after i got extremely frustrated at what seemed his lack of knowledge he said he will lodge it with NBN, i asked to speak to supervisor or higher up tech got told no one here..So i jumped ship to another provider who was only to willing to help me with my issue, they did a live facetime on my phone to direct the right procedures.! Very patient and informative this new service, and i got higher speeds and cheaper than Barefoot..!!! Guess there isn't such a thing these days as loyalty..!!

Rubbish Speeds - They either wont or cant fix it - I wish I could give Zero Stars – This is my second review of Barefoot. The previous review was similar and the same problems continue. then it pops back to about 40Mbps. This delay causes streaming on iview, SBS On demand and other streaming services to stop and they restart 20 seconds further on. This happens every time we watch a movie no matter the time of day.

In an effort to get this sorted I have sent over 300 speed tests to Barefoot using a bridge connection and although they have agreed on many occasions there is a problem they say they will refer it to NBN and the result is they won't, can't, or don't push NBN hard enough to do something. These speed issues are measured over an extended period of 12 months. See attached speed tests using a Bridge Connection (ie pluging only one service into the NBN box and measuring all speeds from that direct NBN connection port.) Note Using a Bridge connection means the modem performance is irrelevant as it is not in circuit, no WiFi can be affecting it speeds as the NBN box does not support WiFi and there is only one port on the NBN box so a connection is exclusive of all other computers, TV's, sound systems and any other service in your home unless your computer is a server and mine is a simple notebook. If you are making a decision to move your service to Barefoot, I strongly recommend you reconsider

Everything here is factual. I have copies of all correspondence and complaints. Barefoot will be very sorry in reply to this review and attempt to paint a willing and helpful demeanour surprised and dismayed offering to help but they don't and they never fix the issues!

Perfect – Signed up week ago NBN FTTP and 2 mobile plans nbn switched over in the afternoon with top Speeds, no drop out and speed always staying around 90mbps paying $70 For nbn with 2 mobile SIM cards it’s great everything in one bill. told me I did and they were sent to my email address, I have no emails other than the three emails when I initially singed up and two promo emails for mobile plans. I was told this was my problem, not their's, that he doesn't know what I do with my emails but they are sent, zero apologies or offers to investigate. I was also told "obviously the bills are sent monthly" after explaining that I had never seen a bill in the 2.5 years I had been a customer; how am I supposed to know if they are monthly, quarterly, annually...

Being effectively called a liar with no apologies or basic customer service is appalling and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

installation took 2 days with Barefoot after an internal optic cable was severed in our apartment building and an NBN contractor had to come out to replace the cable.

The customer service I have received from Barefoot has been flawless. With other telcos they do not care about you. I cannot stress how little they care, I have had the pleasure of escalating to the relevant ombudsman which resulted in compensation due to our lost business from a failure to provide a service I was paying for. After being on the phone for literally hours at a time (on many separate occasions) being bounced between the sales team, to the technical team, back to the sales team, back to the technical team - I just got transferred from the sales team don't transfer me back to, back to the sales team, sorry what you think is a problem isn't a problem - Great thanks for your help. Meanwhile with Barefoot every query, every concern has been addressed and nine times out of ten they have contacted me before I have noticed anything to let me know I will be experiencing problems while the service is rectified as the NBN network has issues.

Before Barefoot I lived a lie and chose to believe that 60% of my advertised speed was reasonable. When my speed dropped to 10% of the advertised speed I believed that was the network under strain and this was reasonable. If you are not able to achieve at least 80% of your advertised speed at any point during the day this is because your telecom provider is terrible. It is not the network under strain - Change your telecom provider!

were looking for and at the best price I found. I love that I can call them and if the lines are busy they call me straight back so I don't have to sit on hold. Also, it's an Australian call centre and the odd occasion when we've had a technical difficulty and when we moved and had to set up the router again, I've spoken to someone really knowledgeable who remembers you if you called earlier in the day and doesn't just read through a pre-written checklist without using their own brains to figure out the issue! Absolutely first rate service and the quality of the connection is great too. It's reliable and a decent speed (for Australia!). Thanks Barefoot. I'll be using you again in our new house when we move again shortly :)

Great Service - Poor Speeds – Plan We have the 100Mbs plan $79 + Voip at $9 Speed (or the lack of) We have regular extended periods of "dial up" speeds. a long time to load and often completely stop in the middle. Local Live stream TV pixelates and even stalls.

Voip Voip calls are hit and miss. Calls made often don't work and calls received regularly fail. They charge 50 cents for 1300 and 13 numbers. Many Banks, Government and service providers use these numbers as contacts so you always get $6 -10 dollars in calls added each month.

Staff at Barefoot Big Winner. The call centres are in Australia Staff are helpful when complaints about speed are discussed but send you time wasting to check everything (when you know it is right) to see if they can blame your set up for the loss of speed. - No Guys it is your issue!

they didn't see a need in locking customers in. If they were happy, they would stay. Five years on, and I'm still happy. The thing I love is that I can contact their tech support team via email, and I get personalised service from people who fully understand what I am asking them. I'm never made to feel like I am too much trouble for them, and we always arrive at an outcome easily. Sign your grandparents up to these guys. They will always be straight with you, and everything they do is customer-centred.

So long IINET. You will not be missed – I have been with IINET since it started in Perth. Big is definitely not better as customer service and competitiveness are no longer a priority. Dealing with overseas call centres is also not ideal. Barefoot are local and so far, professional and offer high speed NBN. Of course, price is also a huge advantage as I am saving $24 a month. Barefoot itself or the NBN or because how it gets delivered (FTTN). Some of these are beyond their control. So, I don't want to seem too harsh towards Barefoot.

I'd like to add that the Barefoot service team have always been helpful and friendly. Definitely can't fault them in this regard.

So, overall my feelings are mixed. The NBN as a whole has issues, and I'm certain this plays a part in my average service. Hopefully, it'll all get sorted in the future.

Awesome and easy! – Had previously been with an internet provider that caused me a lot of drama. I needed to switch to nbn, so thought I’d change providers too. When I contacted Barefoot, they were so helpful, efficient and easy to deal with. They set it all up with no dramas, sent the technicians out to connect the nbn and it was up and working immediately. Generally speaking it's great and provides better connection then the previous service providers used at this address but have yet to check consistency of advertised line speeds with those actually received. Value worth coming back for – I've now used Barefoot NBN at 3 apartments and keep coming back. The price is consistently lower than the competitors, but the service isn't compromised. I've been pleasantly surprised at how helpful and courteous the support team are when I've had to call or email; they follow up and respond when they say they will. Very good connection – Good internet connection. As for Adelaide, it's just great quality. All protocols are available. Speed does not fall below 85 MB, usually kept in the range of 90-95 MB. I did not see breaks in the connection. This is the best provider in Adelaide. Show details ·  1

Excellent service! – Most recently (September 2019) we switched to an NBN 100 plan and the connection is just great so far! Upload and download speeds are close to the line capacity. During non-peak hours I reached download speeds of about 95 MBit/s and upload speeds of 40 Mbit/s which is the nominal upload speed. with which we got speeds of about 48 and 20 MBit/s down and up, respectively.

Before that we had an old crappy ADSL connection (also with Barefoot Telecom). The speeds were horrible, but from all I can tell that could be mostly attributed to the copper-wires in our building and suburb (probably around 60-70 years old).

For the whole time we have been with Barefoot Telecom, the service was excellent as far as it was up to them. And even in cases where other parties were involved (e.g. Telstra for fixing the wires) they were very supportive.
