Blue Sky Dreamtime Grande Questions & Answers
hi I thinking of buying the grande just wondering if they have any problems at all thanks bob
Hi my mother inlaw just purchased a grande 2010 model ,there is an issue with water flowing out of the hot water pipe under the van , if you turn on the tap inside the water will slow down to a slight trickle , but once turned off the water will flow out the outside pipe , I have turned all water off and drained all water supplies and turned the main water feed pressure down and still the same issue, could anybody help please?
Check the water pressure regulator. It is located just behind where the mains water connects (about $50). Sounds like it may not be reducing the water pressure coming into the van. Water pressure in caravans should never exceed 50psi, doing so overloads the hot water cylinder and you risk splitting the hot water tank.
Thank you I will have a look.
We have a 2013 blue sky Viento not owned it 12 months yet , recently discovered water damage through front windows . As this was our first van didn’t know about water leak tried to claim through insurance was told lack of maintenance wouldn’t cover us . We are thinking taking out the windows and just having panel there to eliminate any more water leaks , just after opinion and any idea cost involved ? Needs new panels inside probably timber replaced . Thanks in advance .
Hi Jean, Depending on how long water has been leaking will determine the cost to repair. You may be in for a shock, as water can leak for some time before you see it or become aware of it, thus causing unseen internal damage to the frame. The water ingress will most likely be caused by the silicone sealant failing and it may not be just around the window. As water runs down hill you may find damaged timber all across the front of the van and the source of the leak may be coming from the roof. The caravan repairer who repaired ours told us that most caravan manufacturers use Chinese sourced silicone and it has a life of about 2 years and then a full reseal is required. Cost wise … Stabbing in the dark here, anywhere between $1,500 to $8,000+ depending on the damage found when the front wall skin is removed and whether or not the roof and/or side walls need to be removed to repair the frame/floor. Sorry to hear you suffered a similar problem to us, I know, it can be heartbreaking. Just make sure you have a reputable repairer do the job, there are no cheap shortcuts to fixing it properly. Good luck.
We have a blusky van.at the moment we have no water pressure coming through the taps when connected to mains water in the park.have never had this problem before .water still heats, but only runs for about 10 seconds then nothing ?any suggestions or who do we call?
We had the same problem, it is a blocked pressure reduction valve, located where the mains pressure hose hooks on. A simple replacement of the valve will fix the problem, cost us $50 I'm parts.
