With the wok burner, is there a special trivet for the wok that you can swap in and out? We cook with one once in awhile, but in general I would use it most for pan frying. How flexible is it?
I have just had the 5 burner flame select gas cooktop. The back two burners do not work properly when the rangehood is on (even on its lowest setting). The flame flickers so badly that it doesn't heat the pan, and the heat under the pan is uneven. The wok burner seems ok. The front two burners are "wobbly" as well. Please advise.

For those who have owned one of these for a longer period, how have they held up? How does this model hold up against scratches, discolouration of the dials, etc?

We have one of this for 5 years now. It is a fantastic coocktop, easy to clean and use. warm soap water with soft cloth does the work without leaving any scratches. We do use multipurpose spray as well for stubborn spills left for a while. One issue though, the wok burner no longer works ....have cleaned it so many times but it lits up and after few minutes it just stops...don't know what to do to fix it.

I have the gas cook top with 9 flame select but even on the lowest setting the flame is quite high - can't get food to simmer, any help?...

Bit late to the party here sorry. We are about to purchase this cooktop (and an oven also) and so have been researching it. Lorna, regarding your problem stated above, did your installer calibrate your gas line output correctly for the new unit? Secondly, In the user manual on page 9, there is a way to adjust the gas valves using a Torx screwdriver.
