I have Series 8 Bosche Coffee Machine. When I make a cappuccino or latte , it makes too much froth . How can I reduce the froth levels?

I use decaf grounds in the little basket/drawer since we have regular beans in the hopper, but the discard "pucks" are more like soup and there's coffee grounds in the drip trays all the time making like a slime layer. It is also allowing coffee grounds to fall in around the brew unit. When I clean it (regularly), I have to sweep tons of unused grounds put from around and behind the brew unit. Occasionally, the grounds basket/drawer will also leave some of the grounds unused in it. All of this produces moldy coffee grounds inside and around the brew unit and drip tray areas unless I am constantly cleaning it. What is happening?

Hi Nevillefh,  Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch coffee machine. If the coffee isn't reaching the volume (ml) there are several troubleshooting steps to try. There could be an issue with coffee ground being too fine, please adjust the grinding level or use a coarser ground. ■ Open the appliance door. ■ Slide the regulator to select the grinding degree setting between finely ground coffee and coarsely ground coffee. There could be a buildup in the appliance, please descale the appliance. ■ Touch menu. ■ Touch Descale to select the program. ■ The display indicates the progress of the program. ■ Empty drip trays and replace. ■ Remove the water filter (if there is one) and press start. ■ Pour lukewarm water into the empty water tank up to the “0.5 l” mark and then dissolve one Bosch descaling tablet TCZ8002N in it. **If there is not enough descaling solution in the water tank, you will be asked to do the following. Refill using uncarbonated water and press start again.** ■ Remove the suction pipe from milk container, wipe it and insert the end of the suction pipe into the hole on the coffee grounds container. ■ Close the appliance door. ■ Place a container with a capacity of 0.5 liter under the beverage outlet. ■ Press start. The descaling program will now run for about 19 minutes. ■ Remove the container and press start. ■ Rinse the water tank and (if removed) replace the water filter. ■ Fill the tank with fresh water up to the “max” indicator. ■ Replace the water tank and close the door. ■ Place the container underneath the beverage outlet again. ■ Press start. The descaling program will now run for about 2 minutes and rinse the appliance. ■ Remove the container, empty the drip trays, replace and close the appliance door. ■ Press start. The appliance has finished descaling and is ready for use again. ■ Touch to exit the program. The brewing unit is soiled, please clean it. ■ Open the appliance door. ■ Use the mains switch to switch off the appliance completely. ■ Remove the protective cover of the brewing unit. ■ Remove the coffee grounds container. ■ Slide the red latch on the brewing unit all the way to the left. ■ Press the eject lever right down. The brewing unit will be released. ■ Take hold of the brewing unit by the recessed grips and carefully remove it. ■ Remove the cover of the brewing unit and clean thoroughly under running water ■ Clean the strainer of the brewing unit thoroughly under the water jet ■ Thoroughly clean the connecting nozzles of the brewing unit. Important: Clean it without using washing-up liquid and do not put it in the dishwasher. ■ Clean the inside of the appliance thoroughly with a moist cloth, removing any coffee residues. ■ Leave the brewing unit and the inside of the appliance to dry. ■ Place the cover back on the brewing unit. ■ Push the brewing unit all the way into the appliance and press on the middle until it audibly clicks into place. Important: The red latch must be right over the unlock at the left at before replacing. ■ Press the eject lever right up and push the red latch right over to the right to lock. ■ Insert the coffee grounds container. ■ Replace the protective cover. ■ Close the appliance door. Hey mate, I have this series of ovens and the wheel occassionally gets stuck. On the ovens, the wheel is held on with a magnet set up. when it gets stuck, I remove the wheel and then reseat it. Works every time. Hope this helps.

Hello. I have ctl636es6 which has no hot milk option. Only warm milk vs neff coffee machine. Is ctl636es1 the same? I mean es1 also dont have hot milk?

Hi,

The service/clean programma has been cancelled because I couldn’t proceed to the next step. Wheb I restart the machine it says now “service programm needs a special cleaning because the service programme has been cancelled”

When I start the special cleaning it stucks (again) at the 3th step “please fill your water tank till max, and put it back. Close the door”

If I follow this step and close the door it doesn’t move to the 4th step (=cleaning).

Switching off and back on...same issue Putting all the components out of the instrumente and put back in...the same

What’s the issue here? A technician would cost me €150, without spare parts and every 15 min would cost me €30 extra. “Whaaaaaattt so expensive???”

Hi Bosch, I love my CTL636EB6 my wife and I have several a day each. Just one thing about the WiFi and home connect. As it’s not available in Aus yet and I can’t find the settings on the device how will this be access? Will the CTL636EB6 be able to even use hone connect when it comes out or is it not even a WiFi device as I can’t even find the settings to add my WiFi.
