Hi :-) am after a AS-1200 whisk if anyone has one for sale? We love our bosco but let the butter harden too much before stopping and wrecked the whisk... Any help would be much appreciated or is there a compatible one from another brand? cheers :-)

Anyone out there still have a silicone beater for this machine. Mine has broken and no replacement parts. The brand is discontinued. Even an instruction booklet would do. I'll try and sell it as every other part is working, including pasta maker, grinder, juicer, mincer, vitamiser, etc etc. Most of these never used. Have lost the book and don't know what some of the things are even for! Any help appreciated.

Hi Karen, I think Bosco doesn't exist anymore but I am sure that mixer or spare parts are still produced by another company or at least there are compatible brands. I don't believe that all the parts were designed from Bosco.

I bought my Bosch AS1200HD about five years ago. I've only used it maybe 3 times, as the beaters did not reach the bowl and I got fed up. I thought I'd give it another try recently, and the speed only went on full and could not be changed. Is there anywhere in Sydney to have it looked at? Thanks.

Karen
Karen

Hi Kathy. I dint know if anywhere specifically......assuming you have tried Bosco. But any appliance repair person should be able to help. If you decide to give up.......you would be able to sell off accessories. I would buy your dough hooks! Please contact me if you would sell them. Good luck, Karen.

Hi, My wife bought the Bosco AS1200HD mixer, it's been great but now we have a problem with it, the variable speed doesn't work, it goes flat out or not at all. Any ideas as to the fix? TIA Steve.

AnnaErica
AnnaErica

Give Bosco a call or email. When my machine played up they organised a courier to pick it up and they fixed it and sent it back by courier with no problems at all.

Johanna

There are two ways to control the speed: with the buttons (which I never use) and the dial. Occasionally the dial throws a wobble and then I turn the whole thing off and start to turn it again very slightly and slowly to the right speed. Seems to work for me. The machine sounds like a tank after more than 2 years but still churns out the loaves of bread and other bread products for my family every week!

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing the HD model. I've read some comments about having to hold the mixer while it operates, is this true? I realise it has suction feet but when/why would you have to hold the mixer? Also will the HD beat 2 egg yolks, does it reach that far into the bowl? I'd be keen to hear all responses. Thanks.

Diana Ash
Diana Ash

I never had any issue with the suction. And as far as 2 egg whites, not sure. Sorry. I have whipped 100g of egg whites (which is probably 3 egg whites) for my macarons, and it has never left any 'unbeaten' residue at the bottom. hope this helps!

Donfay11
Donfay11

I've never had to hold mine. Ever. I use it daily. Also, there's a beater with food grade rubber on it, a scraper/flexi-beater. You can see it on the Bosco website. It reaches the WHOLE of the bowl, scraping the sides and base as it beats. It can beat just the one yolk with no problems, so I don't think two yolks will be a problem. I haven't tried it with the whisk attachment, and I'm away from home and my Bosco :( for two weeks, so I can't try it out for you.

Hi Diana and Donfay11,

Thank you both for your responses to my questions. You've set my mind at ease and my wife has bought the HD with all the attachments!! I'll post a review after we put it through it's paces. thanks again.

Not a question but a observation. I read the review for buyer beware and your response was argumentitve, rude and extremely unhelpful. I really do not think it was appropriate to respond like that in public . I will clarify I do not know that person and I have never heard of your product either but I came here to look at the reviews as I am buying a mixmaster I was open to buying any brand that rated well. Now I know of your company and the way you respond to your customers I know to avoid purchasing any of your products.

I am also a little worried about purchasing this product after that Bosco rep spoke to that consumer in that way!!!! I would hate to buy this "expensive" machine and be treated in that way. No empathy. Think I may actually purchase a Breville as they seem to be more respectful and know how to deal with their customers/future customers.

I have just purchased a Bosco Multifunction Stand Mixer and cannot find reference to the removal of the bowl cover. I have washed the bowl, whisk and beater and want to clean the plastic splash cover as well. It looks as if it might just pull down but I am frightened to put any pressure on the cover?

I will appreciate an answer.

Thank you,

Nancy

Eniko

Hi Nancy, just turn the splash cover to the left and it will pop out., when you put it back on turn it to the right until it clicks. Good luck! Eniko

Hi Folks

The plastic splash cover is a little tight...hold with both hands and a very firm turn to the left will allow the cover to then come down..the movement is very little...cheers Selwyn Lawton

Bosco
Bosco   DM

Hello Nancy, sorry I haven't noticed your question here. It is quite tight. The splash guard can be removed by turning it clock-wise looking from the top in one movement. Please don't be afraid to apply a little bit of force, we will replace it for you free of charge if you break it accidentally. Please contact us at service@boscoppliances.com if you require more assistance. kind regards, Irina

I am interested in the bosco BM1200HD as it appears to be a quality mixer ! What I would like to know is whether you are considering making this mixer in some other colour or colours in the near future ? I love the softer colours , I do not have red in my home colour scheme !

Regards Leanne

Bosco
Bosco   DM

Thank you for your question, Leanne. This particular mixer is only available in cherry red top/silver bottom color scheme combination. Although, there could be another color available in the future, we can't confirm when exactly this will become the case. This color combination appears to suit majority of kitchen decors, but may not suit everyone. Please contact us if you have any questions.
