Hi there, We would recommend to not use on children under 2 year of age, as the oil may be too strong for little ones. If you have any further questions, please contact our Customer Service Team at, cservice@fgb.com.au Thanks Team Bosisto's

Is it safe to inhale the eucalyptus oil via a hot steam diffuser during pregnancy?

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Do you mean in a Warm Steam Vaporiser? These can be used, but not with pure eucalyptus oil - choose a eucalyptus-based inhalant, like Vicks VapoSteam or Euky Bearub. These are a more dilute solution that goes straight in the water and are suitable for use during pregnancy. Hope this helps, Kind Regards The Bosisto's Team.

Can i diffuse this in the room with a 15 month old baby?

is this safe to diffuse around 18 months old baby ?

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

As long as it's an open area with plenty of ventilation it should be fine. If you are using this specifically for children's colds, we would recommend instead a children's essential oil formula like Euky Bear's Sniffly Nose blend external link  Or Sniffly Nose Inhalant external link  depending on whether you are using a diffuser or a vaporiser, respectively. The Bosisto's oil is an adult-strength product and shouldn't be used in children's rooms with the door shut, or applied directly to their skin. Kind Regards, Bosisto's Team.

I have the Bosistos diffuser, and love going to sleep with the smell of eucalyptus or lavendar. Is there a way to turn off the beeping sound it makes when it finishes? This usually wakes me up.

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi Danielle - no I don't believe so I'm sorry! That's lovely to hear you get so much enjoyment out of the diffuser, despite the beep. Apologies that I don't have a solution for this for you, but I'll pass on to the team regards the design/ function of the unit. Kind Regards, Carla from Bosisto's.

What will it happen if I had apply on my baby body from nearly 8month? I just got read that shouldn’t apply on baby skin but I did cos my mom say can use .....

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi Penny No, this is not suitable for applying to the skin while pregnant. We know a lot more now about eucalyptus oil than we did years ago and many of the traditional uses are no longer considered safe.

Just out of curiosity why would you apply it? Perhaps we can suggest an alternative.

Kind Regards, Carla from Bosisto's.

What ratio eucalyptus oil:water do I use to make a antiseptic spray suitable for kitchen benches. The bottle does not mention quantity of water needed for any of the listed uses.

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi Lyn Everyone likes a different ratio! Our favourite recipe is in this link, but personally we'd add a capful (or maybe two) to the mix rather than a few drops. The little bit of dish detergent is the key to keeping the oil and water/ vinegar mixed. :) external link

Vanessa

Your previous answer to a question stated not to use Eucalyptus oil “neat” does that apply to the spray Eucalyptus oil as the label says to apply on insect bites? I’ve had a mozzie nite under my arm that the spray has been helping me with

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi Vanessa I'm not sure which answer you're referring to - can you clarify?. Adults are fine to use eucalyptus oil (or spray) neat on their skin, as directed on the label. It's only an issue for children. Hope this helps! Kind Regards, Bosisto's

I bought 500ml Bosistos Eucalyptus oil on ebay and found that everything on the label suggests it was coming from the original company in australia, however the contact details list a number in Thailand (+66xxxxxx)

How can I tell the difference between the australian and the asian?

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi spaik The difference is in the labelling. This is the company who have the trademark for the Bosisto's brand in Asia and does not contain Australian eucalyptus oil external link  You can see on their "Contact Us" page that they are based in Bangkok.

This is the Bosisto's brand which contains Australian oil and is 100% manufactured in Australia external link

You can see it's really quite different - and the contact details down the bottom are in Oakleigh South, Victoria Australia. Home of Bosisto's since Joseph Bosisto first bottled eucalyptus oil at Dandenong Creek Victoria in 1852.

Unfortunately we cannot sell our eucalyptus oil under the Bosisto's brand name overseas due to the trademark issue, which is complex. However, it is sold under the name Euky Bear, if you are looking for a product with genuine Australian-grown oil. Here is Euky Bear Malaysia website: external link

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any further questions. Kind Regards, Bosisto's.

Hi, is it safe to use as a cleaning product at a household with a baby?

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Yes, it's perfectly fine to use around the house when used as directed on the label (for mopping, laundry, wiping benches etc.) Kind Regards, Bosisto's.

EveEve

Can it be applied to the body n face?

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi EveEve You should never apply 100% pure essential oils "neat" to your skin or face. This is suitable to be diluted in a carrier oil, such as jojoba, coconut or Vitamin E oil at around 2% - so 98% carrier oil to 2% eucalyptus oil. For children or babies, it should be 1%. Here's a handy article on essential oil dilution for your information. external link  Kind Regards, Bosisto's.

Is it safe for babies ?

Bosisto's
Bosisto's   DM

Hi Ching, Can you explain what method of use you are enquiring about? In general, you should not use pure essential oils at all under 12 months of age. After that, very small amounts can be used in a carrier oil, or say a chest rub or diffused into the air, but this is dependent on a number of factors. Eucalyptus Oil should be used with caution with young children and never applied directly on the skin of babies. Kind Regards, Bosisto's.
