Great maneuverability, storage not so great! – Very easy to use, assemble, push on all surfaces and, get in and out of car. Takes a bit more room in the boot than other brands. Light weight, but others are lighter. Comes with a bassinet option for up to 6 months (depending on your baby’s size). Storage room beneath pram while bassinet is on is minimal. Slight improvement when bassinet option is removed and seat is used. Comfy in both settings and child can use still at least 3.5 - 4 years. Show details ·  1

Best pram I have had – This pram has lasted me over 3 years for 3 children and I got it second hand. It handles a lot of different surfaces really well, it feels very smooth to push unlike my other prams! I like the fact it has really noticeable suspended it really helps a lot and my children all love this pram. I would give full stars if the baby bassinet attachment had a harness but otherwise perfect pram. Show details ·  1

Still going after 12years! – This pram was originally my brothers. He bought it in 2007. He used for his daughter. We have used it for our 4 children. In a day and age where nothing lasts, we have absolutely loved the quality of this pram. It is incredibly strong. We have used it for carrying airport luggage, multiple children in the bassinet at the zoo and for market… Read more ·  1

shopping with the kids. It is looking a little worn now, but functionally it is still going strong!

To answer the questions:

1. It operates best on smooth surfaces. If rough terrain, Ive just dragged the pram behind me with large wheels first

2. Suspension is great

3. Pretty comfortable. They enjoy sleeping in it

Chameleon3 nothing to brag about – I’ve had the bugaboo chameleon 3 for 20 months now. With my first child I had a steel craft agile and for the money I spent on the agile, it was definitely more affordable and user friendly than the chameleon. I told myself, with the second child, I wanted a bugaboo. The only thing about the chameleon is that it looks appealing. It take up a lot… Read more

of boot space and I have an SUV, 2 hands are needed to do everything, including that horrible brake on the handle that flicks on my hand, need 2 hands to undo the break. Basket is pointless, doesn’t hold much at all and the little velceo straps that hold the 2 sides of the basket, always come off. 2 hands needed to adjust the seat. If only I’d waited a few months longer, the Bugaboo Fox was then released which is the modified version of the chameleon. I only like that the wheels have suspension, which makes rough surfaces smoother to go over but that’s about it with the chameleon. Time for me to upgrade to something more practical

Great pram – Really great and reliable pram. Easy to steer and operate, really convinient for the baby and exteremly durable. My bugaboo is now seven years old and it still opeartes as new. It looks pretty good apart from few minor scratches on the frame and a little rust. It is worth purchasing new and second hand. It has been really usefull and convenient… Read more

to use. It can carry heavy loads and big babies. Both of my children are the larger bubs and love sleeping in the pram, the bassinette suited them both up to month.

I was also surprised to find out that all of the advertising material is true it does go well on all terraine and a change is as simple as a handle bar flip.

The only minor negative is the part that it is two part pram and you have to undo the sit before you can fold the frame and it is not that easy to take in and out of the car. However if you purchase a cheaper lighter pram or stroller such as an umbrella stroller your will be ok. Everythin it is great Nothing much except that it is hard to fold. I would also love to find out how to vary the seat.

I love this pram – I bought this pram nearly 5 years ago and still love it as much as the day I bought it. I used it for my oldest child and now use it for my youngest (sadly having to go to a double pram for the kids in the middle). The manouverability is amazing, you can push and turn this pram with one finger and it just glides. It is super reliable, the only… Read more

problem I have ever had with it is a flat tyre - but harldy bugaboo's fault that i ran over a thumb tack.

I have taken the covers off numerous times for washing which makes it super easy to always have a nice looking, baby food gunge free pram.

The only thing I grizzle about is that the small front wheels can be a bit touchy over uneven ground, though you can now buy all terrain tyres for the front which would eliminate this problem.

I like that it has a hand brake, so you don't have to squish your toes/shoes using those annoying foot brakes.

the adjustible handle height is great for people of different heights using the pram. everything!

Excellent pram that worth every penny! – Amazing Pram. We bought it in 2007 for our first baby and 12 Years later still sturdy as and very reliable. It lasts us for 4 kids the eldest is 11y.o now and the youngest is 8 m.o. Easy to maneuver, light and pretty compact compare to the other prams we owned. Show details ·  1

Sturdy but bulky – This is very good pram. very easy to maneuver. i had this for 4 years. when I have baby number 2, I don't use this as much because it takes a lot of space in the car and take more time to set up and pack down. I also don't use this for travelling (by plane), as it has two components and make it hard to pack them.  Show 2 replies

Great pram – BOught this about 3 years ago for my first child, it was highly recommended by most parents being a very comfortable pram, a word of caution though (and i did not anticipate this) the pram is quite large and is quite difficult to fit into the boot of a small car

Overrated – I purchased this second hand after hearing nothing but good things about it. The carrier is terrible!!! It barely fits anything, stuff falls out and it drags on the ground if you dont get the Velcro attachments in the right place. You also have to kneel right down to put stuff in it. Annoying as also have to take it off the pram to fit it into… Read more

Not worth the price tag – Have used this pram for two years. It is bulky and very heavy to lift for dismantling. Takes up lots of room when it’s packed up in the car. Suspension is great, great storage underneath takes heavy groceries well. Steering is great. Bassinet attachment is handy. Reclining toddler seat is great for sleep. Hood does not protect from sun barely at all and gets very hot. I would not buy again, definitely not worth the money.

So inconvenient – Firstly, I thought this was going to be my dream pram. I didnt consider any other prams i saw it i bought it. (despite having a draw string that "closes" the hole) secondly this… Read more

thing is a beast. we have an Audi A3 and it took up every inch of the boot we ended up buying an outlander with a massive boot just so we could fit the pram with shopping. It is so fiddly to collapse quite awkward to carry. My brake doesnt work for some unknown reason. And the tilt button doesnt work with my 10kg daughter sitting in it which is super annoying. the parts are also hella expensive! heaven forbid you need to replace something! Also if you like to go walking outside DO NOT BUY THIS PRAM i'll be walking on the cement side walk and if my wheel hits a rock it just stops suddenly and i walk into the pram and it jolts the baby! with that being said i look stylish as all hell with my inconvenient bugaboo pram.

Is it easy to maneuver? Very easy to maneuver. although its quite large and i often find i cant fit down the isles at the shops or i get caught on things! Oh and the pram cant fit down the isle of the Melbourne trains!

How easy is it to fold, unfold and carry? Hard to fold. Easy-ish to unfold. heavy and awkward to carry

Are you happy with the build quality? yes.

awesome pram! – I bought this pram as secondhand due to the high cost of a brand new one. Lonely pram – I was panicing when i first had to go pram shopping they all look so complicated and techie but the bugaboo is nice and compact and also super easy to fold down and pop into the boot. My bub loves it as it has 3 reclining positions and a good shade hood. Have got a little fading on hood but thats just normal wear and tear otherwise still looks fab.

Had this over six years & still in good condition – This product is the original and complaints I know they've changed in the current model (one hand collapse etc) but I bought this for my first baby over six years ago. I've had to replace a few things, which were so easy to d online. Brakes I replaced, wheels and I bought new leather handlebar covers etc. but it's gone through four children & still looks good. I think it's worth the money especially if you will use it for multiple children.

Bugaboo to You – This product has been absolutely perfect by catering to almost all needs. Rough terrain, weather conditions, small spaces - you name it, it helped. It's extremely easy to maneuver and absolutely most importantly has a hand break that you need to push a button to make it come off. Obviously safety is key so very impressed with the last function.

underneath but this is inaccessible in the 'bassinet' mode. I contacted Bugaboo who said

Amazing up to 12 months, then just good – We got a Gen 1 from eBay for our newborn. Amazing! Now she's nearly 18 months now and we don't use it so much - it takes a lot of boot space in our hatch. We've bought a smaller umbrella style one. The Bugaboo still trumps for comfort and ease of pushing though.

Great to move around but not for air travel – I bought this pram/stroller almost 2 years now and here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. It looks good - that was probably the main reason why I chose this pram when it was on sale. 2. Easy to move around. 3. Good basket storage (tho I don't really use it except to store the rain cover and bub's blanket). 4. The seat (only, not… Read more

applicable to the basket) can be reclined into 3 positions - great for sleeping, relaxing cruise and feeding.

5. Good customer service - I notice issue with the brake when I started travelling in a bus for work (after > a year maternity leave). The brake didn't seem to work that well, especially sudden brake. Complaint and the frame was replaced! Brake works ok now. So, keep your receipt, it comes with 2 years warranty.

6. The material washed out well, even with all the food stain!

Cons:

1. It comes in 2 parts - the frame and the seat (with the handle bar). So,

a) can't take this pram with me for any travel by air as it is not a one piece foldable pram/stroller, unless you have the case for it (which is quite expensive to buy!) and I believe you have to check it in (so, may take up your luggage allowance). I ended up buying another pram (a lot cheaper) for my interstates or overseas travel.

b) takes up a lot of pram parking space in the childcare as it is not foldable like the others.

2. The handle bar material has been chewed off by bub when teething. They don't seems to have washable padding (cloth) available. I am not sure if the material is safe to be consumed (it's like those soft landing floor in kids playground!). Bub seems to be ok. So, buy or make some handle bar cover when your bub is teething or remove the handle bar all together (which is what I ended up doing!).

3. It can be quite tricky to be put together if you don't use it often. My in-laws have this issue.

4. The seat belts are loose and my bub who is 20 months old, can wriggle out and stand on the seat!

4. All accessories need to be paid for and not cheap. I will write a review on the sun shade - not overly happy with it but I can't find the ~$50 receipt to claim on its warranty!

5. Bassinet is good for newborn but is bulky. You won't be able to access the basket easily when you are using the basket.

Overall:

Am happy in general but I would buy a different pram as a compact or one piece pram would suit my situation better. The other pram that I have (from cheaper range) doesn't have the same suspension and seat. So, you do get what you paid for.

Safety issue: brake cable bursts after 2 years – Nice design and not too heavy for use in public transport were the main reasons bought this pushchair. This is a major safety issue, totally unacceptable for such an expensive product. We did contact Bugaboo about this. Their response time was slow and bureaucratic. So now we know that Bugaboo customer service is rather poor also. In a consumer review we also learned that Bugaboos contain toxic substances in areas accessible to the child. Since we do not want to compromise on health and safety we would probably not buy Bugaboo again. weight, design, comfort unsafe, poor quality. toxic substances, poor customer service

Worth every cent. Light because you only ever lift it in two parts – Bought mine second had so it's going through its 3rd child and still going strong. even think about it now and it really is very simple once you work it out. Should have spent 5 minutes with it before I gave birth though. Did have a very hormonal post natal moment with it on its first outing! ;-)

Have wondered if I should have thought about the bee instead (being the single fold and slightly smaller area in the boot) but am happy with what I've got - admittedly I have a fair amount of boot space. Reliable, maneuverable, light, sturdy, hardy Expensive (but I went for a 2nd hand one!)

Fantastic buggy. Absolutely love it! – Love this pram! It's so user friendly, and allows baby to be comfortable at any age. While it is nothing short of extortionate new- around £1,200 in the UK, around $1,765 (??), they are available second hand for much much less! would definitely recommend preloved sites!

The main thing that I love about this pram is that it has a pram part that allows it to lie fully flat. This was the one thing that clinched it for me! I also love the fact that it folds up do tiny to go into the car.

Another great thing about this pram is that you have such brilliant maneuverability!

I would massively recommend trying to purchase the slightly older version of the Cam - the one with the screw type mechanism to adjust the handle bar height. There have been a lot of problems with the newer 'clippy' (flat adjuster) sort- they seem to become lose and eventually either stop clipping shut properly (so handlebar able to move while pram is in use), or get stuck in one position! Equally annoying!

I was a slow convert to this pram, as I thought it was a bit spacey and modern looking when I first saw it. However, having got hold of my lovely second hand one, I don't think I would go back! (Giving it a quick scrub and washing the fabrics saved me well over a thousand pounds!) Cheap second hand! Lovely to use-practically pulls itself along! Lovely and tiny to fold and looks great!! Would recommend! Bad customer service if you buy this new! Also, extortionate if new!! Go for second hand!

Best pram on the market! – I bought this pram because it was the known to be the best on the market, and for good reason. It is engineered to perfection. anything breaking. It is versatile and easy to use. I had no problems getting it in and out of the car and found it very light, which is probably why it is so easy to push one handed and even turn it one handed. I used to carry one child on the hip and push the other in the pram with one hand. You can't do that with many prams. It is light, easy to maneuver, very reliable and definitely versatile. With the flick of a switch it the handle can be moved so that it is in off road mode,or you can take out the seat and turn it around so that the baby is facing you or facing outwards. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of this pram, it is truly the rolls royce of prams. It is on the expensive side, however I think it was worth every cent. If you can get a good second hand one that would be the best option as they are built to last and nothing really breaks on them.

Bugaboo Cameleon – Don't get me wrong, I love this pram (hence still voting it 4/5) just disappointed with the braking mechanism. either way. Very simple to flatten down the chassis and take off the seat/bassinet. My boy will fall asleep in it still wherever we are and he is now 17 months. The Brake!!! it is like a bike brake where the harder you pull it the harder it stops, but if you dont pull it all the way it doesnt work well enough!! I sent the pram back for assessment after 6 months of using it because the extender handle broke and I didnt think the brake was effective enough. They ended up replacing the chassis for me, and the brake was no different in the new one. I bought my pram in 2009, so the issue may have been fixed in recent models. Check it out though. Not that easy to access the storage in the bottom. I bought the breeze canopy as I thought it would cover the baby more - it doesn't. Never used it in the end.

:( Everything is pro about it! Best pram ever. I have owned mine for 2 years now. I'm so in love. Lovely shade canopy. Love that you can have it forward or rear facing. Nice basket size underneath. Can accessorise and change colours easily by buying different ones. Nice having the break up near your hand. Easy to steer. Nice 3 seat reclining positions. Easy to adjust handle height. Is hard the first few times to work out how to fold/unfold. But once you get the knack of it, it's easy as. You wonder why it was so hard to begin with! Not the best for off road. I do use it off road all the time though as I'm in the country, but you have to lift the front wheels a lot to be able to maneuver it over bumps. Doesn't bother me though. It's expensive, but I bought mine 2nd hand off eBay.

makes it cosy and warm on even the coldest and windest winter days while walking as no wind gets inside. Also very easy to manouvre up and down gutters and over grassed areas (not many footpaths in my local are so this has been tried and tested!). Easy to manouvre around anywhere (is great at getting between tight spots in shops!); light; looks great; very comfortable for baby; easy to fold up and down and takes up little room in the boot of the car.
