builds. I really appreciated that they had homes of all sizes on display, both big and small, so you can actually get a realistic idea of what your future home could look like.

As a first home buyer, I have a very strict budget to stay under in order to qualify for the $750k first home grant. I was amazed walking through the display home and finding out that the base build price, including the promotional package, would still keep me under that limit. After visiting so many builders, I found Burbank’s pricing to be extremely competitive and fair.

I recently had my colour appointment and, honestly, I was overwhelmed and nervous that the variation costs would be very high just to include a few extra things I wanted in my home. Not only was I impressed with the range of options available, but my colour consultant, Alycia Varley, was amazing throughout the whole process. She helped calm me down, guided me through the selections, and made it much easier to decide what I wanted.

When the variation pricing came back, I was genuinely surprised at how reasonable it was. Working in the building industry myself, I have a strong understanding of trade and material pricing, so it was refreshing to see a builder not inflating prices and instead genuinely helping people get into homes despite the current cost of living pressures.

I’m very impressed with Burbank overall. A big shout out to David Doak at the Yarrabilba display home as well. We were working within a very strict timeline when choosing a builder, and he was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Anytime I’ve called in a panic, he’s been there to help, which has been greatly appreciated.

were super scared and had no idea how it all worked. What were we to do first etc. Maks Hossain was amazing at answering our questions and helping us understand what we could achieve. His knowledge and reassurance helped us make a decision on a block of land and gave us the confidence to start the build process.

Next up was the colour and electrical consults. Wow, amazing! That is an experience I loved! I am the worst person at making decisions. Never give a menu we will be there all day waiting for me to decide. For that reason, I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to make decisions quickly during our consult day. Boy did I surprise myself. That all comes down to the amazing expertise and guidance from Marissa Lintott. Our colour consult appointment was with 4 of our family of 5 so even more challenging to get everyone on the same page. Marissa we had so much fun, thank you!

Next up was our electrical consult with Hayley Tupaea. Never did I ever think an electrical consult would be so awesome. Hayley you too were amazing with your guidance and recommendations. We had our plan sorted before we met with you however you helped us save on our budget. We are forever grateful for that.

The last piece of the puzzle this far was the patience and guidance from Karla Egan, boy, were you challenged with how long we took. But we got there in the end, and you have now passed us over to our site supervisor Scott Hancock who will be in touch soon to make bookings in preparation for construction commencement. Thank you Karla I bet it feels good to finally be at that stage.

Burbank you have an incredible team who are all an asset to your business. I look forward to the actual build process now and of course excited for the day we are handed the keys to our new home.

Our contract signing with Linda was the shortest part of our experience but she still took us through every part and explained everything without any issues. Even answered all our questions we had without and hesitation or issue. Was just another amazing part of the process.

Our electrical selection with Hayley was also a breeze, she was very knowledgeable around the correct amount of lighting to add to the home and where to add extra PowerPoints. Was also great at assisting in relocating and adding two way switches so once we are in the home it’ll be much easier to turn things off and on. Without her knowledge we wouldn’t have thought of half the stuff we changed.

Our colour selection was handled by Marissa, this was my partners favourite part of the process. Marissa was amazing at guiding us on our colour selection. Making sure none of the colours clashed and blended well while also making sure we were within our guidelines for the estate. Marissa had amazing knowledge when it came to selecting Trims and accessory’s.

Now we are just waiting for land registration but the whole process with Burbank so far has been flawless thanks to the Team at Burbank. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking at building.

English and endless questions at all hours, he always answered patiently and managed the entire build perfectly. The construction time was much faster than we expected, yet the result is a beautiful and high-quality first home. He carefully checked every detail and gave us so much valuable advice. He even took care of things we didn’t notice or didn’t know to ask about. I genuinely feel like I learned so much from him during this process.

There was a lot of things which we hadn’t even considered, such as, size of windows for the raised ceiling, facade material, bench-top, cabinets, cupboards and drawers for kitchen, linen and wardrobe, which Kristine reminded us about. We told her we wanted to keep costs down so she showed us different options to choose from. She is sending us quotes for different options so we can pick and choose what we want. A few hours felt like minutes and the whole process was seamless and straightforward especially when we had travelled all the way from Canberra for the selections and were flying back the same afternoon.

I want to shout out a big thanks to Kristine and also to Hayley Tupaea who was equally kind and helpful and assisted with electrical selections. The initial journey has been great so far from Paul Pereira who was our sales consultant, then Kristine and Hayley. I hope this great experience continues throughout our journey until build is complete and the handover. Great service helping to choose and redesign our house to suit our needs. They also helped me out by adding noggins for a wall mounted TV and running conduit up the walls for me to put media cables in later. No issues building and moved in on time. forgetting to put a drain in the laundry, which really should of been standard.

Suddenly, our tiles started buckling and cracking around Christmas 2024. There ended up being 2 sections with about 10 tiles each popping up and cracking which occurred over the next few months. Wasn't a very nice Christmas present and had to wait for Burbank to reopen in the next year. Nathan came over to inspect the first section and within 2 weeks, had that section replaced. However a second section popped up a few weeks later.

This time I had the pleasure of dealing with Jamie. He came over and inspected the second spot sighting that the original tiler who was used when the house was built, didn't perform the work correctly, missing 1 expansion joint. A couple of days later, Jamie came back with a tiler who he had personally recommended to Burbank. The tiler said the whole floor needed re-tiling. A few weeks later, new tiles and a skip bin had been delivered and the whole lot was ripped up and replaced for us in the span of 3 days. During all this, the only out of pocket expense for us was staying at an AirBNB for 2 nights. We came back to a brand new fully tiled floor which we were very impressed with.

They did their best for us with matching the tile and grout colours so it blended in with the separated rooms. This entire section of tiling wasn't small either. Being an open plan living space it was around 80m2 of tiling that was redone.

I can't thank Jamie, the tilers and Burbank enough. There was barely any warranty left but they still decided to replace the entire floor for us. It would have been a massive cost to them especially with everything being so expensive lately, but they knew it needed to be done and arranged everything to get it done.

Would recommend Burbank.
