helped us secure our block of land. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t even be building. As first home builders we could not have been luckier to get Trent.
Our contract signing with Linda was the shortest part of our experience but she still took us through every part and explained everything without any issues. Even answered all our questions we had without and hesitation or issue. Was just another amazing part of the process.
Our electrical selection with Hayley was also a breeze, she was very knowledgeable around the correct amount of lighting to add to the home and where to add extra PowerPoints. Was also great at assisting in relocating and adding two way switches so once we are in the home it’ll be much easier to turn things off and on. Without her knowledge we wouldn’t have thought of half the stuff we changed.
Our colour selection was handled by Marissa, this was my partners favourite part of the process. Marissa was amazing at guiding us on our colour selection. Making sure none of the colours clashed and blended well while also making sure we were within our guidelines for the estate. Marissa had amazing knowledge when it came to selecting Trims and accessory’s.
Now we are just waiting for land registration but the whole process with Burbank so far has been flawless thanks to the Team at Burbank. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking at building.

English and endless questions at all hours, he always answered patiently and managed the entire build perfectly. The construction time was much faster than we expected, yet the result is a beautiful and high-quality first home. He carefully checked every detail and gave us so much valuable advice. There was a lot of things which we hadn’t even considered, such as, size of windows for the raised ceiling, facade material, bench-top, cabinets, cupboards and drawers for kitchen, linen and wardrobe, which Kristine reminded us about. We told her we wanted to keep costs down so she showed us different options to choose from. She is sending us quotes for different options so we can pick and choose what we want. A few hours felt like minutes and the whole process was seamless and straightforward especially when we had travelled all the way from Canberra for the selections and were flying back the same afternoon.

Matt worked tirelessly to ensure everything was done properly and always made time to answer our questions. Great service helping to choose and redesign our house to suit our needs. They also helped me out by adding noggins for a wall mounted TV and running conduit up the walls for me to put media cables in later. No issues building and moved in on time. forgetting to put a drain in the laundry, which really should of been standard.
Suddenly, our tiles started buckling and cracking around Christmas 2024. There ended up being 2 sections with about 10 tiles each popping up and cracking which occurred over the next few months. Wasn't a very nice Christmas present and had to wait for Burbank to reopen in the next year. Nathan came over to inspect the first section and within 2 weeks, had that section replaced. However a second section popped up a few weeks later.
This time I had the pleasure of dealing with Jamie. He came over and inspected the second spot sighting that the original tiler who was used when the house was built, didn't perform the work correctly, missing 1 expansion joint. A couple of days later, Jamie came back with a tiler who he had personally recommended to Burbank. The tiler said the whole floor needed re-tiling. A few weeks later, new tiles and a skip bin had been delivered and the whole lot was ripped up and replaced for us in the span of 3 days. During all this, the only out of pocket expense for us was staying at an AirBNB for 2 nights. We came back to a brand new fully tiled floor which we were very impressed with.
They did their best for us with matching the tile and grout colours so it blended in with the separated rooms. This entire section of tiling wasn't small either. Being an open plan living space it was around 80m2 of tiling that was redone.
I can't thank Jamie, the tilers and Burbank enough. There was barely any warranty left but they still decided to replace the entire floor for us. It would have been a massive cost to them especially with everything being so expensive lately, but they knew it needed to be done and arranged everything to get it done.
Would recommend Burbank.

communication, very professional in his work. He got the house built in around 4.5 months and did so with impeccable quality! I had an independent building inspector whom Jamie was only too happy to work with. They only found minor defects and even then Jamie always endeavoured to get them rectified as soon as possible. He would often call a few of the trades back after they finished if he wasn't happy with their work and get them to rectify it.
No nasty cost surprises at the end, cost was exactly as agreed and in fact they even returned a portion of the Prov. Sum for their site works.
All in all, I can say that thanks to Jamie and the team at Burbank, I have a brand new house built to the highest standards of workmanship and quality. Would definitely recommend them again!

before it’s all locked in. Has been a little slow to get to where we are now but hoping it speeds up from here! My interior designer Kristine and electrical consultant Hayley were both extremely lovely and helpful. They made the appointment very enjoyable and I am looking forward to seeing how it all turns out :) Also shoutout to Linda who went through the contract with me so efficiently! I only wish that I had received some selection brochures or catalogues from Burbank prior to the colour appointment as I have since found out that other clients had been emailed these. However, I did have an Edge Studio tour which I would highly recommend to further help with your selections (I learnt that it was very easy to book this by ringing the head office as I had initially mentioned it in 3 different emails to my customer care coordinator but it was never addressed).

Deeply Disappointed with Burbank’s Build Quality and Service Our experience with Burbank has been extremely disappointing. The overall management of the build was unprofessional, and communication throughout the process was consistently poor. constantly follow up just to obtain basic information.
The build quality itself fell below an acceptable standard. During our own inspections, we identified multiple construction errors and clear signs of inadequate supervision. It appeared that inexperienced builders were used, and the lack of oversight resulted in numerous defects that Burbank still attempted to present as “completed” at handover.
Fortunately, we engaged an independent building inspector, who identified serious compliance issues — including the complete absence of required insulation. This was particularly concerning, as insulation is mandatory under Queensland building regulations (2025). We had to personally request that this be installed, which should never have been our responsibility at that stage. As the roof had already been completed, it had to be reopened and subsequently repaired again due to damage caused during this process.
We reported all identified issues to our assigned customer service specialist; however, after doing so, we were effectively ignored. There was no confirmation, clear response, or follow-up regarding the required rectifications.
At what was meant to be the handover stage, the home was still not completed to an acceptable standard. Some areas were marked with tape indicating required fixes, yet these items were never addressed. Even the pre-handover cleaning was poorly done — there was visible glue residue, dust, water marks, and debris throughout the home. In addition, critical areas such as the kitchen butler’s pantry were missing glue, which is essential for preventing water leakage.
To add to this, shortly after handover, we discovered that the front door lock was faulty, with the key becoming stuck. This required us to contact Burbank again, who then had to engage a locksmith post-handover to remediate the issue. This is a basic and critical function of the home that should have been properly checked and resolved prior to handover.
While the overall structure of the build may be acceptable, the attention to detail was severely lacking. Excess glue residue, missing adhesive, and poor finishing made the home difficult to clean and clearly unfinished. The process itself was extremely frustrating, and several issues would have gone unnoticed if we had not actively checked and questioned incorrect orders or placements along the way.
Overall, the lack of accountability, poor communication, and substandard workmanship have left us deeply disappointed. We strongly advise anyone considering building with Burbank to proceed with extreme caution.

Burbank QLD declared 'practical completion' when the 1st inspection report from the Practical Completion Inspection (PCI) came back with 66 defects (non-structural, to be fair, but who wants to move into a house when the walls and ceilings are not even completely painted?). weeks after the PCI came back with 71 findings/defects, and the site wasn't even fully cleaned. I have the feeling that Burbank does not take any pride in delivering a quality product, but they definitely make sure they send you invoices as quickly as possible. I cannot say this has been a good customer experience, and the final and full completion stage has been beyond frustrating.
Pre-Build Sales – Terrible experience.. over promised on the sales part about design and then can't deliver as they couldn't read the plans given to them on registered land.
