As we were living interstate, having someone who kept us updated with photos and videos at every stage of the build made such a huge difference. Lisa handled our feelings and demands with such kind and genuine care as well as explaining things to us in ways we understand; and if she didn’t have the answer on hand, she always endeavoured to get the answers for us in a timely manner. When it came time to pass us on to the construction team, Lisa went further than the extra mile and organised for handover to happen a day earlier than first planned so it would be ON my birthday as a birthday present from her and the Burbank team. with structural modifications to the standard plan while keeping the overall cost close to our budget. Akshay remained accessible throughout the build and regularly checked in on the progress.

During the pre-construction stage, Frenil Gandhi (Customer Care Coordinator) and Daniella Chretien (Colour Consultant) supported us through the contract and colour selection process. Frenil was very prompt with paperwork and helped clarify the contract terms and conditions. Daniella provided great guidance with our electrical selections and colour choices. The only area we felt could be improved was the Edge Studio experience, which could be more organised and family-friendly.

Our Site Supervisor, Thomas Hajko, was outstanding throughout the construction phase. He kept us updated at every stage of the build, and we never had to chase him for progress updates. Tom was approachable, responsive, and always willing to answer questions and address concerns.

Overall, we were very happy with Burbank as a builder. The quality of the build was good, there were no unexpected surprises or cost variations during the process, and the construction was completed ahead of the original timeframe. Our slab was poured at the end of January, and we received the keys in the last week of June for the double story house.

about my budget. I remember speaking to sales consultant Akshay Guleria a year before to discuss a potential future build and I liked his confidence and overall demeanor. So we went to him at Harpley display home and he suggested a completely customized Covello 19sq. He paid attention to detail to all our demands and designed a beautiful 22sq home (will be 24sq once we add the pergola living area this summer). I went about 15K over my construction budget but I was happy to spend that money as we added a lot of value to the house. Just like first time around, I requested our co-ordinator to be Lisa K who was fantastic again with our requests and communcation. A few bumps along with the way during studio appointment as they hired a new electrical consultant who wasn't too keen to listen to my suggestions but Lisa fixed them with no issues. Site supervisor Tanya was very friendly and accomodating and had the build going at a good pace with extremely wet weather conditions this year. I had a private inspector inspect every single stage which i felt was very important. A lot of issues needed to rectified during the build process and I think we have been able to rectify 80-90% of the issues. This time around, the quality of some of the trades were quite poor compared to my first build. From paying deposit to handover was a 13 month journey. Overall, satisfied with the quality of the build but the three individuals I mentioned deserve a lot of credit.

He was incredibly efficient, proactive, and ensured the build was completed ahead of schedule. Even when minor issues arose, his communication and follow-up were top-tier. Areas for Improvement: Admin & Gallery Unfortunately, the middle of the process was frustrating. The Admin phase lacked proactive communication; we felt we had to push constantly for updates. We actually know people who chose other builders specifically because of delays in Burbank’s admin department. The Gallery/Design appointment was also a disappointment. We received very little creative input, and several promised items were missed in the final documents, which became impossible to change once construction began. Additionally, the selection felt dated; we actually saw more variety when we built our first home six years ago. Summary We are very grateful for the professionalism and effort shown by Akshay and Tom. If the Admin and Gallery teams can match the standard set by Sales and Construction, the experience would be world-class.

This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I have ever had. Throughout the process, I have had to repeatedly chase updates instead of being kept informed. The ongoing delays have held up my construction finance, cost me additional money, and caused significant stress. Even after copying senior management into my emails, I saw no meaningful improvement in communication or the handling of my concerns.

Building a home should be an exciting experience, but Burbank has turned it into a stressful and disappointing one. Choosing Burbank is a decision I genuinely regret. Based on my experience, I would never build with Burbank again and would strongly encourage anyone considering them to carefully think about whether this is the experience they want.
