Can a grass clipping catcher be fitted, and for how much ? As I'm making compost.

Unsure Ulrich, we don’t use one. Try google search …

I have a Bushranger 2021 RZ54, very good unit. Recently I have been having trouble replacing the fuel cap, it just will not go back on, there is no damage to the threads on either the tank or the cap. It is now impossible to replace the cap. It just sits on top and get gets tight instantly and then just ratchets, click, click, click, and if you pull it up it comes off. Any help, any sugestions.

Hmmm ... Never struck that one Peter. Pretty sure the warranty is 3 years though. That sounds like JUST the thing the dealer should be able to sink their teeth into.

Hi Peter, I bought the RZ54Pro a few months ago - best machine ever! but I have just run up against the same problem as you with the fuel cap... My dealer tried a cap from another mower and that wouldn't go on at all so they are replacing the tank instead... Best mower and best service ever at the Warragul PowerSports store...

Yes they replaced mine under warranty, free of charge. The original tank was a 2 part tank with the top piece where you screw the cap on being mounted into the tank and a join at the base of the threaded bit, it was that piece that swells, in the end mine was 5mm larger than the cap itself. The new tank is all one piece it is still good.

My dealer has some RZ54C machines on order & is pushing me to pay upfront to ensure quicker delivery. Reviews of Bushman are excellent but I've noticed the "C" refers to Compact with a few differences to the RZ54 ... including about $1500 extra money on what's listed here. Another difference is deck depth ...4" as opposed to 5". What effect would that have? I live rural & part of the house paddock has about 1 1/2 acres of uneven ground of grass that is really thick & usually longer. Gotta get the best one for me & this is near top price for me. Any info helpful.

G'day Shirley. I can't speak for that particular model. But in my experience I would absolutely NOT put down a deposit until you have trialled the equipment first. If no test model is available I would have the dealer put in writing that you will receive full refund if upon receipt the mower was unsuitable after maybe two days. We still really like ours, but that starter circuit is utter garbage, and will be bring fixed by the dealer before warranty expires. And it really is rotten in reverse.

As far as the starter circuit goes, make sure you press both the start/stop sections of the button at the same time when starting. Although the button looks like it’s one button, underneath it are two switches. The operators manual states, press the stop section to stop the mower and press both the start and stop section to start it. Sometimes if your just holding down the start section the starter will act intermittently. Mine always continues to crank when holding both. Might not be your problem but thought this might help???

Would you care to comment on the suspension system of the mower? In another word, is the mower comfortable while travelling on uneven ground?

G'day Cyril. It has no suspension as such. The seat rides atop two oval shaped rigid rubber inserts that act as Defacto shockies. But it's crude. If you have false teeth you'd better make sure you glue em in place if you plan on spending any longer than 20 minutes in an uneven paddock. I'm happy to let my enthusiastic and unbreakable 14 year old handle the rough country!! It's fine on established lawn though.

I've uploaded a photo of the rubber inserts above.
