Disappointment – I will state for the record I'm a tradesman & Cavalier Wondonga is the second home builder I have built with, first home built Sydney 2013. out. I don't wish to drag this review out to a long winded story so will leave out list mistakes & build faults that should be rectified. After numerous emails, phone calls, txt message's Cavalier still can't supply me with a locked in date to complete works, remember this has been 10 months & counting. As I'm a tradesman I fully understand customers that are hard to please, material shortages, labour shortages, effects Covid has caused & simply mistakes happen which is why I have held off for so long to write a review thinking my issues would be addressed in a reasonable time frame. I also know of the concept scheduling they use that concept to build your home but doesn't exist to fix mistakes & poor workmanship after hand over (what is called maintenance period). I also blame myself for being trusting during the build & hand over doing very limited inspection before paying final payment, but unfortunately at the time Covid had caused border lock down etc & inspection was limited & rushed, also time limited as existing home sold. I carried out due diligence selected builder due to the reviews here at time of building & going off my experience either there standards have dropped or my standards are to high, but using my last builder as the bench mark Cavalier Wodonga seems way bellow that standard. Simple question, would I build with Cavalier Wodonga again which is relevant as my daughter likes one of there home designs & wants to build near us, my answer to her was, on my experience find another home builder.

to expect additional electrical costs which was planned for and we added extra's throughout the build which was never an issue working with Cavalier. It however required additional cost to our build at our expense, however result was a beautiful custom home delivered by Cavalier - we are thrilled. Cavalier have been fabulous to deal with and I would highly recommend building with Cavalier Albury Wodonga - Professionalism all the way. An amazing journey and experience for our family. Excellent work with excellent people – Cavalier Albury-Wodonga built our house at Khancoban. They were excellent to deal with. The initial and design phases went smoothly and they provided accurate guidance during these times. Construction was fantastic. Their site supervisor and sub contractors were excellent to deal with. several consultants, no one would give me an indicative square meter rate? I thought it was a fairly simple question? After nearly 25 display home inspections, i was about to give up on the project builders, then we i walked into Cavalier's display. I have had friends build with them before & i had seen the results, all good!. " Simple question James, how much for this per square? " We were relieved to get a straight answer back. From that meeting, we worked closely with James & the staff @ Cavalier, & got straight answers the whole way through the process. The home was architect designed, 70 odd squares under roof, over 4 levels, most project builders would run, but Cavalier not only embraced the project, but had seriously great input into design enhancements & were not only able to pull off the build on time, but on budget, fixed price contract!. Well done to all the staff at Cavalier, from James at the initial design & quote stage, to everyone involved to get to build stage & of course, Lyle, the site foreman & the talented tradesmen who made it all happen. While our project was completed I said to James that I wouldn't mind doing an investment and here I was again with James designing our investment property in late 2016. With Josh (our Building Supervisor) giving us a wonderful and seamless experience during the building process our investment property has been completed in 2017. There was never anything too hard for them and what usually can be a painful process for some was great for us. Their communication was great and the project was delivered on time with no surprises. The staff in the office were also great to deal with and we had responses from them almost immediately. I would strongly recommend anyone starting the building process to go and talk to James with your concept or one of their home designs I am sure you would not be disappointed. incorporate additional energy and water conservation features. The builder was very accurate with project timelines and gave advanced notice of any on site meetings where we were required. Additionally the builder and contractors talked through options if options become available during the build to ensure we were involved in any decisions. Cavalier homes were also very upfront about build costs along the way and kept track of any variations (either credits to us, or agreed increased costs due to requested changes). The total build cost at the end did not come with any unexpected surprises. Cavalier homes were also very respectful to our neighbors and ensure they were kept informed if there were going to be any inconveniences to them such as increased traffic, power and water interruptions etc. We are very satisfied with the end results and love our new home. We would build again with Cavalier as it was a great experience and we have ended up with a very livable home.

James in the display home did a great job of modifying the home plans( and quickly ) to match a block that suited our needs and had great ideas on making the house cheaper to live in and more comfortable are really helpful( for not much extra we got double glazing and 6 star heater ) lots of soft close drawers are awesome , love my big oven and big showers, if you have a block and need a plan played with to be your special home I can tell you James makes this very easy. With total site costs included price was very good considering the level of finish.
