Cigweld HandyWeld 130 MIG Welder Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: W1200130Can you replace mig gun of cigweld easy mig gun 130A? Is there any mig gun for this particular model W1200130?
I too expected a roll of wire. In at least 4 places in the box and in the manual it states supplied with gasless wire fitted and gas type wire. This is misleading. You need to change the wording and send me some wire please.
I’m a fan/user of Cigweld. I have just purchased a new Handyweld 130 unit. In reading the manual, it reads like there is already a feed roll fitted? Is this a 100mm roll of welding wire or some other component in the machine that is not illustrated? Or my machine was missing its roll of welding wire? Just asking as it is not very clear. Regards Kim
Mine didn't come with any welding wire. I brought a 0.9mm x 100mm roll of gasless when I brought the machine
Hi Kim, Thank you for your enquiry. The feed roll fitted is the component that pushes the wire into the torch. The wire roll (100mm Spool) is to be bough separately for the HandyWeld 130. Please let us know if we can assist with any other questions.
Hi, does anybody know the difference between the Cigweld Easyweld 130 vs the Cigweld Handyweld 130? Thanks
They are basically the same unit except the Handyweld has 2 metre leads and the Easyweld has 3 metre torch and earth leads, operation of the units and functionality are the same.
Thanks Michael, how about the Cigweld Welding Mig Welder - Weldskill 135 . Do you know how this also compares to the easy/handy weld 130 units? Cheers
Hi Tony D the Weldskills 135 is a very basic gasless Mig, where as the easy/handy 130 is gasless or gas shielding for aluminium or stainless steel you can not weld Aluminium with the weldskills mig 135, the easy/handy 130 is a very capable unit for both gasless or gas Mig welding.
Thanks again Michael, last question :) The 100mm wire spool's seem expensive compared to the 200mm wire spools. Do you know of a machine such as the easy/handy 130 that can take a 200mm spools with the unit still being able to operate on 10 amps? Cheers.
No sorry I don’t know any 10A with a 200mm spool. Depending on usage a larger spool could be prone to corrosion if it sits for a long time between usage. Better the ditch a small roll than a large roll!
Thanks Michael, I've since read that Cigweld have an easyweld 160 that can also use the 200mm spool and still works on 10amp. I appreciate the advice on potentially having to ditch a large roll vs a smaller one, definitely a great tip. Thanks again for all the replies.
