My Clarendon Homes build experience started out very disappointing after the contracts were signed. I had no idea about organising the demolition of the existing dwelling , getting arborists reports required for tree removal , and lodging VAC driveway notifications to the local Council , etc. Clarendon H.O. at this stage provided no guidance… Read more

other than advising "this is your responsibility" , despite me explaining I had never built a house before. I expected some recommendations or interest to help. This bad feeling was aggravated when I was later advised more expensive piling work had to be done by another company , to which Clarendon added their 25% builders margin for doing no part of that unexpected job ! Fortunately once the construction was completed , the Clarendon Customer Care team changed my opinion. [Name Removed] the warranty consultant was excellent in communicating and organising fixing the repairs on my defects list. Her involvement gave me confidence Clarendon would put things right. To this end , a special shout out to [Name Removed], the Clarendon tradie who went above and beyond in fixing other minor repairs , besides the ones he was assigned. Their combined positive approach and attitude wanted me to award 5 STARS. However when rating the overall Clarendon Homes experience , I need to adjust back to 4 STARS to account for the early hospital pass challenges requiring a beginner like me to organise preparation of the building site before Clarendon would start the build.

I would give zero star if I can. Our house has been handed over 3 months ago with pages of pending items to be fixed after handover. Site manager acted like a ghost, never ever answered his phone. Contacted office many times, while everyone appears nice they can't do anything but my site manager. Avoid this company if you respect your time and money – 32 months gone and the house is not ready, they have missed so many parts, truly unprofessional Job number 29915403 You may think you save money going with Clarendon but due to delays you have to pay lots of mortgage for unfinished house, They called us and asked us to take over unfinished house and finish the rest during the 3 months warranty period! customer service consultant was really amazing, she kept us up to date and even if there were issues, a quick call would give us the update we needed. Alot of back and forth, but that is with council and issues such as powerlines, but the overall experience was positive and we finished with a few months to spare before the tender expiry.
