Coonara Inbuilt Settler Series Questions & Answers
I appreciated this review. I'm currently looking for a solution to either refurbish or buy new. My current Coonara is getting close to 40 years old! We use it regularly. It needs new wooden handles, baffles, renewed insulation rope and ash tray (baffles have warped and there are some cracks, tray has lost its back wall, wood handles essentially burned off though. Structurally though, still very sound. I think some new parts will give it another 20 years! My only issue arose from when we let someone house sit and I think she fired it up leaving bottom door open!!!! Geez... don't do that... ever. That's how the handles died.
I see you have used our housesitter and have our Coonara's twin. It's hard to find a replacement for them isn't it !
