We had an excellent experience with Coral homes, from the start of the project and to the actual handover. [Name Removed], the Building Supervisor, gave us an excellent service throughout the whole building process by providing weekly reports and answers if we needed something to verify. again! But only on the condition [Name Removed] is our site supervisor. What an incredible job he did - his attention to detail was exceptional and his juggling of so many trades in so many weather conditions was a masterclass! I'd hate to do his job!!!

[Name Removed]'s ability to improvise when areas were held up (for a myriad of reasons), pivoting to completing other areas just to keep the build going was superb and kept us well on track. [Name Removed]'s communication was always first class so we always knew what was happening, had happened, any issues that arose etc. which honestly is half the battle I'm sure.

The site cut was November 2024 and we had handover in November 2025 and that's with months of torrential rain (we have a dead flat, boggy block!) and a cyclone! Amazing.

So thank you [Name Removed] - we couldn't be happier and when we build again, you have to be our SS!

unfortunately, struggled with communication and consistency. This resulted in significant delays, multiple unanswered emails, and a number of unresolved issues, including mold and water damage, subpar tiling, and extensive mud throughout areas that needed professional cleaning. Many tasks were left unfinished or not fully completed, which caused considerable stress as we watched the project press toward completion.

[Name Removed] entered the project near the end and immediately made a substantial difference. He worked tirelessly day in and day out to address the outstanding items and to push the project toward a satisfactory finish. His communication stood out markedly; he provided regular updates, clear timelines, and concrete next steps, which greatly alleviated our frustrations and kept us informed throughout the final phase. His professionalism and customer-focused attitude were evident at every interaction, even when problems arose, and his approach to problem-solving was practical and effective. He took ownership of the remaining tasks and coordinated well with trades to resolve issues and improve overall quality.

Without [Name Removed] leadership, the outcome of this project would have been far less satisfactory. His efforts helped salvage the work and enabled us to achieve a much better finish than we would have otherwise. Based on our experiences, we might not have confidence in starting new builds with Coral Homes if not for [Name Removed] involvement.

Looking forward, I strongly recommend that [Name Removed] be recognized and rewarded for his dedication and client-focused approach. At the same time, there is a clear need to address the broader issues we faced in the early stages of our project.

In closing, we have built three homes with Coral Homes and were considering additional projects in the future. [Name Removed] performance at the end of this job has been a decisive factor in our willingness to continue working with you. I hope upper management takes this feedback seriously and uses it to reinforce best practices across all sites.

completely surprised we kept it under 750k with land for the first home owners grant. I do believe coral has incredible inclusions in comparison to other builders that enabled us to upgrade structurally that I do believe contributed to the large equity the house has now. experience. We were kept fully informed every step of the way, the color selection team were amazing in helping us choose our colors and upgrades. All costings were available immediately so you knew where you were financially. We were hesitant about building again but Coral made the journey well worth it. We have worked in the construction industry for a long time. We were so pleased with the pricing and sales team. Our build has not moved in any meaningful way since before Christmas and it's nearly mid March. communication, so little progress and no explanation. It's so weird and unexpected. I won't go into the attitude of our supervisor and the workmanship issues we've had to have rectified. To be fair once we complained and involved QBCC it was dealt with after initially being gaslit about the issues being non existent. Overall- I was super excited but it's turned an over $800k build that should have been a life achievement into a pain and an embarrassment socially. I do not recommend Coral homes. They may be cheap, but maybe they are going broke or something? I can think of no other reason why for months no progress has occurred on a semi built home. I used to advocate for developers to consider volume builders as many designs are now really suitable for boutique builds - but having no real progress on site for months on end could bankrupt some people.

Can not fault the sales and admin process. They provided great service and were very friendly and accomodating. My site supervisor was going through a separation and didnt care about my build, he ended up leaving mid build. His supervisor would call and complain about him after he left. wise: - My house sat at practical completion for 4 months due to my SS leaving - House was handed over with things still green taped to be repaired - Main bathroom has a slant of 15mm AWAY from the drain. Coral has denied the warranty claim, stating the code doesnt require the water to run to the drain. - My garage door tracks are not flush and make an awful sound everytime they are opened. - My kitchen was upgraded to 2-pack. One drawer front was chipped. This was reported to 3 different levels of the construction team AND the admin who called to check my practical completion report was correct. I was assured it would be fixed after handover. Since then, they are denying it was ever reported. - Paid for an upgraded bath, wrong bath was installed and Area Building Manager said it was "too hard" to fix. - Paint work is terrible. Paid for wash and wear and it feels as though maybe once coat was put on the walls. - Fan was installed but not connected (fixed by coral warranty) - Was told by construction manager that I shouldnt get an independant inspection because it's "unnecessarily delay things"

All in all, its not horrible but it's not the standard I would expect from a brand new home. I will likely build again, with a different builder.
