VerifiedMy slow cooker will not turn on. I haven’t used it but maybe 4 times
Is the timer display visible? Or is it very dim? Was it easy to read the display last time you used it? On mine the timer display went dim and failed. Following advice on here I replaced the capacitors on the PCB mounted in the corner inside. Pretty sure the yellow rectangular ones were the faulty ones. After that the timer had good contrast and it worked again.
Nothing comes. No display of any kind
Please excuse the dumb question but can I delay the start time with this slow cooker?
That's not a feature I use so not sure. Beat to contact their customer service to check. The are super helpful.
Could any one who has the Cuisinart PSC-650A Slow Cooker please tell me if their glazed pot has any pin head sized bubble holes in the glaze? Mine does have quite a few, both inside and out (it came like that) and I'm wondering if this is normal or something that will effect the safety or longevity of my glazed pot? Also, has anyone done any research to find out if these glazed ceramic pots are lead and cadmium free? Thank you.
Mine has a few minor imperfections which don't appear to affect its functioning in any way.
When I turn on the unit, an E1 message comes up in the LCD screen. There is nothing in the instructions to explain what this means and the unit cannot be turned off or programmed. Any ideas?
1. Return your unit to your supplier asap and see what they will do for you.
2. Call Cuisinart directly asap and discuss return/repair under warranty.
Does the lid fit properly? I have had 3 slow cookers before and they all had poorly fitted lids. I thought perhaps the lid was meant to be loose, but have since read it is important to have a firm fitting lid. I want to try the Cuisinart but am reluctant to do so until I find out about this issue.
It's not a pressure cooker so the lid sits evenly and not tight,
with a vent and it cooks slowly very nicely.
No, the glass lid doesn't sit tight on the ceramic bowl, but I would think this is by design as you are cooking for 8 hours and a lot of moisture is created when cooking that long. If it was a sealed lid everything would probably turn into a mushy soup. I've cooked hundreds of meals in it now and it still gives juicy, tender, melt off the bone meals every time.
