On the Dinimica Plus does the milk inlet tube have to back in a certain way

Madrum
Madrum

No, I just push it back in after I clean it, I’ve never had any trouble with the milk. I use 2% smarter milk generally. I use pipe cleaners for cleaning out inside the tube.

I have heard people complaining about outputs when using oat milk.

DeLonghi
DeLonghi   DM

Hi Bob, Thank you for this inquiry! We can safely say that the inlet tube can be inserted with the rounded part securely inserted into the top of the carafe itself. Just make sure that its fully inserted to the rim of the tube for it to suck the milk securely.

If you have any further issues, don't hesitate to reach out!

Kind Regards DL Team

Hi, I have a Dinamica plus and I'm having issues with the temperature of the coffee. If I change the setting from low to high I can't see any difference. The coffee is coming out hot and, in my opinion, burnt.

DeLonghi
DeLonghi   DM

Hi Derek Thank you for your message, We have responded on another thread. Do you have a cooking thermometer to test the temperatures? If you do - Please test coffee only and then please make a latte.

We await the results and will advise accordingly.

Thank you

Dear DeLonghi team, Thank you for replying to my query, I appreciate your time. I am only making black coffee, I do not add anything to my coffee (i.e. No whiteners, milk, sugar etc.) I have tested the temperature at the "Low" setting using a laboratory thermometer and the readings were:

Low: 72oC and 71oC

At the "Max" temperature setting (in the menu) the temperature of the coffee was: Max: 73oC and 73oC

I measure the temperature of the liquid without the thermometer touching the surfaces of the coffee cup. I returned the temperature of the cup to 29oC before each test.

Can you please tell me what the expected temperatures for the coffee should be?

For your notes, I am a Professor of molecular biology and run a research lab so I believe my equipment is extremely accurate and my readings are an accurate reading of the liquid.

As a comparison, I have also measured the water temperature of coffee from an older DeLonghi Prima Donna (an old unit that I am hoping to eventually replace with the current Dinamica plus). the coffee temperature from the Prima Donna is 62oC.

I will re-confirm that the unit that is having temperature issues is the ECAM37095T, (not the Prima Donna).

I will be very keen to hear from you whether the Dinamic Plus coffee temperature can be calibrated or fixed.

Kind regards, Derek

Hi Derek, Thank you for your findings! A rule of thumb - 70 degrees is just right for our coffee machines however we generally do not have a set temperature rating on our fully automatic coffee machines as there are so many variables such as length of coffee, type of coffee, Milk quantities, and coffee quantities used as well as the environment the coffee machine is kept in / milk jug.

If the coffee is tasting burnt - Please change your grinder setting on top of the appliance to adjust your grind of the beans and perhaps lower your aroma setting on the screen

( Grind dial 3 and aroma level 1 or 2 beans )

Can you please go into the settings menu > Energy Saving > Ensure this is enabled if you want the temperature slightly lower or disable this if you want the coffee hotter.

Thank you

No mick will come out of my Delonghi ecam37x.75. I have the milk container clean, the problem seems to be in the machine itself, anybody got an idea?

It is quite likely that the black knob on top of the milk jug that you turn to control the amount of frothing has a build up of milk solids inside where the knob fits into the jug. Turn the know all the way to the left, and lift it out - it comes out easily. Then use a small brush - like an artist's brush and clean the bottom of the hole, and the base of the knob. I was having trouble with my frothing, and, being curious, I pulled the knob out, and there was build up of milk there. I cleaned it, and the froth returned to normal. I clean it regularly now, and do not have problems.

I also have done every trick suggested to me to get my latte hotter, and it's barely hitting 50 degrees celsius. By the time I finish making my latte, and sit down the latte is too cold to drink. I am at my wits end. I spent way out of my budget for this top-of-the-line unit and I end up having to use the microwave to get the heat to an acceptable temperature.

I have the same problem, how to make it hotter ?

DeLonghi
DeLonghi   DM

Hi, Thank you for your message and sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. If the milk is very low temperature - Please direct message us and we can look at service options if it continues to happen.

Some tips for hotter milk that you can try:

1. Please disable energy saving function in the settings menu 2. If you keep your milk jug in the fridge with the milk - The whole component is cold. When attaching to the coffee machine simply turn the dial and do a milk clean first to heat up the whole jug (discard this water in another cup) and it will increase the temperature for you.

Please try this little tip, Thank you DeLonghi Team

I have purchased the Dinamica plus ECAM37x.95 which is still under warranty. I am getting a "General Alarm" after heating is underway. I have cleaned all components including the infuser as per the instructions but still getting the same alarm. Help!!

What I can say is don’t expect any customer service you may get a reply here to contact them but you will not get through.unfortunately I have a milk attachment unused as it does not work.Sorry but once again a lack of any customer care

Thanks for that. Surprisingly their customer service team has got in touch with me and I have arranged a warranty repair early Jan with one of their local agents. Hopefully it’s something minor as I had only purchased it last June.

How do I remove the beans out of the grinder as I don't like this particular brand I've put in

Chrism
Chrism

In that situation I would remove the beans you can see in the tray and just put your new beans in after 2 cups it will produce the new bean coffee.

DeLonghi

You can either vacuum them out with the crevice tool of your vacuum or grind them through by pressing doppio but cancel the recipe before the water pours.

Hi, I purchased the Delonghi Dinamica Plus as the video reviews I watched showed that it could make iced coffee. but I can't find this option in my machen ?

Mick1199
Mick1199

I saw that video too but the Australian model doesn’t have that function wait a few days maybe Delonghi might get back to you. There are long list of complaints about this machine right on top of my list is the lukewarm coffee but they aren’t going to fix it.

I am in Saudi Arabia, there may be a difference from Australia, lets wait Delonghi replay thanks for your support

Store person thought it did coffee over ice to, clearly Australian version doesnt. Im hoping there will be an app update that can override that issue. Mick1199.. my coffee temp at max is to hot, seems to be some inconsistency with temp across units. maybe they should add the temp reading of water so we can be assured it is correct for barista temps.

I have a Dinamica Plus and I have the same issue. Black Coffee is not as hot as I need (175+ F degrees is my choice). Milk based coffee is pathetic at just luke warm. As one customer has written, I just microwave it!

Have had our Dimanica plus since December 21 and asked for the descale on January 22, thought this was quite soon but did it anyway. Then again early February it's asking to descale again, we make on average 10 cups a week maximum. Also, the other day it said to empty the grounds container. When I pulled it out it had one coffee tamp in it so was nowhere near full. Any ideas on what this could be, should I take it back to Good Guys where I bought it from?

Mem
Mem

Your water may be the problem. We use filtered water and hardly ever have to descale. If you don't have a fitted water filter you can install a small one on top of your tap which we did in our old house. We put it on the laundry tap because it looked a bit ugly in the kitchen. Otherwise you can get a filter jug and you fill it through the filter. They work well and the water is great to drink too.

DeLonghi
DeLonghi   DM

Hi Annette, thank you for your question. The descale alert is based on the amount of coffees you are making and the water hardness level chosen on the machine. If you feel like you are seeing the descale notification too often then you are either making a lot of coffees, have hard water and need to descale that often or haven’t changed the water hardness level in the machine to match the water you are using.

Use the water hardness strip test provided in your accessory box to determine what water hardness you have and set the machine accordingly. You can check your manual for how to set the water hardness or go to De'Longhi How to Videos on you tube to see how to change the settings for your machine. Thanks, De'Longhi

My milk from our Delonghi Dinamica is luke warm. Is there anyway the temperature can be increased? If not, I will be returning it as I didn't spend that much on a machine to then have to microwave it. May as well go back to my stand alone milk frother.

John B.

How did you go returning the machine as I've put a support request to Delonghi to do the same. AUD1,300 for a machine that can't make a hot coffee :-(

JB hifi took it back thankfully and we purchased a different brand that allows us to increase the temp of the milk.

We bought our new delonghi dinamica 1 week ago as a replacement for our trusty eletta. We are struggling with the temperature setting of this new machine. It is way too hot. We have adjusted the temp setting to low and it is still physically steaming and burning the coffee. The temp feels the same whether we choose max or low. Is there another setting we can apply to drop the temperature effectively.

I bought a delonghi dinamica 1 week ago. We chose this one as it was very similar to our old Eletta machine (which we loved). The only gripe I have is the temperature setting. I’m finding it way too hot. We have tried the different temp settings but the temp remains the same irrelevant of the setting. It’s so hot I have to wait 5-10 mins before being able to drink and the coffee tastes burnt. Is there another way to reduce temp effectively

Hi bought the Dinamica Plus yesterday. Have tried every setting, every feature, and so many different coffee style attempts. All as per the instructions. But each time the coffee still comes out watery, no coffee taste, and even sour tasting. Similar to a customer who put a review up a few days ago. So disappointed. Please help!

Harry
Harry

I adjusted the grind (the dial in the bean hopper) and then set up my personal profile to make the coffee stronger. It probably took 5-6 cups of trial and error to get it perfect.
