I've lost the measuring scoop for ground coffee. Is there another way of measuring by weight?

Hi, can you tell me if there is a difference between the grey and white milk carafes? I know the book says to use the grey one for hot and the white one for cold, but is there actually any difference in function (eg. why can't we make ice coffee with the grey carafe?). The reason I ask is because I was hoping to store both in the fridge with different milks (I use skim milk and my son uses whole milk), and then we both use the jugs we want whether we are making hot or cold coffee. I just wanted to check if there is a reason why we can't do this.

Hi Kirsty, Thank you for your question! Yes, there is a functional difference between the grey (hot milk) and white (cold milk) carafes. The grey carafe is designed for a slower milk release, which allows it to heat and froth milk properly for hot beverages. In contrast, the white carafe is optimized for a faster milk release, suited for cold beverages like iced coffee.

While it’s understandable to want to use both carafes for convenience, we recommend sticking to their intended uses to ensure optimal performance and to avoid potential issues with your machine over time. If you'd like to store both jugs in the fridge with different types of milk, just remember to switch them out based on whether you're making a hot or cold drink.

Let us know if you have any more questions!

Hi Anadia, Thank you for your question regarding your Eletta. If you are getting this message, It may be due to the milk pump of this unit no longer registering and depending on the age of the appliance - We recommend a service assessment as we have checked our system and there is no troubleshooting available for this error.

Please direct message us with your suburb and postcode and we will be more than happy to help you locate a service centre for you to help get your coffee machine up and running!

Hi. I have a Delonghi Eletta ECAM44.66A machine. My machine does not pick up that the water reservoir gets empty or is empty then it starts making a noise as its just sucking in air due to it being empty. Now I have tried to descale it and it just continues in the descale process and does not go over to the rinsing stage. I suspect this is because it can not or does not sense the descaler has worked through the system with it not sensing the water reservoir level. Am I doing something wrong maybe or what must I do? Please can you advise.

I have the same problem

Hi. We have a Delongi eletta that is just over a year old. The milk functions have stopped working. I can select the menu and it says it’s preparing but doesn’t progress beyond that. I’ve throughly cleaned the milk frother and checked the outlet from the machine is clear but no joy. I’ve seen this same issue further up in the questions but no resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jon, Thanks for reaching out to us on product review! We are so sorry for this happening with the milk carafe on the machine. Please ensure that all parts for the milk jug are connected tight, there is no missing o-rings or any damage to the milk jug overall. If this dosen't work, we would recommend a service provider to look over the machine to see what is happening with the jug/milk function program

Please feel free to contact us via our De'Longhi Customer Support form for further support.

Hi. The steam button on our machine has stopped working and we cant froth the milk up. Any suggestions as to why this is happening. I have cleaned the spout and not sure what else to do? Does it work by a motor or something which may need to be replaced?

My friends coffee machine this model has just as of today done the same thing, it won't produce milk with the Carafe or the steam wand it does say its going to do it but doesn't progress. And when you press the OK button it sounds like its does start but then that stops it. I I wonder if that is the 3 way valve? I have heard this machine has. it is now 7 years old and has close to 5000 coffee's on the product counter so it has earned its keep.

Hi everyone, I accidentally vacuumed something while cleaning my DeLonghi Eletta Cappuccino machine and now the pre-ground coffee falls straight down and doesn't go into the infuser. The ground beans work perfectly fine, but I'm not sure what I vacuumed or how to fix it. Has anyone experienced this before or have any suggestions on what I can do to troubleshoot and fix the issue?

My delonghi eletta display larta in progress but doesn't finish

DeLonghi
DeLonghi   DM

Hi Brian, thanks for the question. This may happen as a result of power interruption. The infuser can only be removed if the correct shut-down sequence has been followed when the machine is turned off. Always switch the machine off by the power button on the front of the machine and allow the process to terminate. If you are unable to remove the infuser do not force it.

Turn the machine back on and wait for the full start up sequence to complete. Shut the machine down by the power button on the front of the machine. Wait for the shut-down sequence to complete. You should now be able to remove the infuser with ease. Thanks, De'Longhi

I poured water into the hole at the top front centre of the machine.(Where the beans are) Have I caused any possible damage? I’m not game to turn it back on at the moment.

That could be dangerous, looks like its above some electrics. I'd leave it several days before trying it.

Can the Delonghi Eletta be set to do coffee first and then frothed milk for a cappuccino. . We do it this way manually as it makes for a much smoother drink.

Hi, I love my Delongi Elleta bought in 2019. Today when I turned it on it said Vart mode?I cannot find what that means. I didn’t have any response when I pressed menu/esc. Eventually I was able to turn it off. When I restarted it, it worked ok

We have grinder issue with our 2 years old Delonghi Eletta. Seems like the grinder is moving very slow (rpm) and timeout before it finish. It also doesn’t make a high pitch grinder as usual but a low pitch & slow grinding sound instead. We have cleaned the inside (blade area) underneath the coffee hopper. It works for one drink and went back to the slow rpm again. Please advise, thank you.

I have an Eletta Delonghi machine. Ever since I bought it new (last year), the machine asks to be "descale" every two weeks. I make four cups of latte every day. What's wrong with the machine?

Hi, how did you resolve this? I have the same issue thanks

David C.
David C.

I have same issue. No hot water, steam or milk although it does build up pressure in the machine but sounds like a valve cuts in to prevent the 2 attachments from letting the water or steam out.

Anyone? Same issue.

Katrina M.

We had a blockage in a tiny hole on the attachment before attaching the milk container. A tiny needle inserted in the hole cleared the milk build up and fixed the problem.

Check the nozzle that the milk container connects into. There is a tiny hole that can be blocked with milk. A needle can unblock it. This was our issue fixed the problem.
