Horrible Coffee – Purchased this as a replacement to my caffitaly machine. Big mistake - I purchased the capp pods which only come with milk pods too. The milk is disgusting I now have about 100 of them and refuse to buy the capp pods so I don't stockpile more milk pods. Why cant they make a normal capp. pod without forcing us to buy milk too. Since I like a strong… Read more

coffee have been using the americano - horrible. Hardly any other compatible pods and everything we have tried tastes like cheap coffee.

Very disappointed - will be getting rid of as soon as I decide on a new machine. Also water tank makes only 3 cups before having to refill - far too small.

Good coffee machine! – I absolutely love my dolce gusto capsules in cafe au lait & latte macchiato. The machine is quick, easy to use & easy to understand which setting to put it on. It's easy to clean which is a big bonus. However the coffee isn't quite hot enough, unless u drink it quickly the last 1/3 of ur coffee goes cold. Also some capsules (mainly the latte… Read more

macchiato) seem to have problems with the coffee coming out of the pod. The water/steam starts to expand in the pod & so I have to stop the machine & upon trying to open it to get the pod out, the pressure has built up so much it is extremely difficult to open & feels like it's going to explode (a bit scary)! Though this happens only about 10% of the time & mainly with the latte macchiato pods unfortunately as these are my favourite! Overall though I couldn't live without my machine! The coffee tastes Fantastic & I couldn't go back to instant coffee now!! I've tried other brand coffee capsules & haven't found any I like as much! Despite the couple of negatives, I would recommend this machine. The positives far outway the negatives!

I should be compensated in buying and using their coffee and the machine because it really sucked! – I got this for mother's day and was excited to use it. To be blunt, this machine sucks! Big time! Hubby bought this based on the reviews it got. Used the pods that came with it. The coffee and milk tasted terrible! The coffee wasn't strong enough (americana, cappuccino, latte) and the milk tasted like morning breath you that you just want to get… Read more

rid off your tongue.

The pods are way too expensive, you have to use 2 pods (one milk and one coffee) and it is not enough to fill the cup. I had to use 2 pairs just to make 1 decent cup of coffee but this was a big mistake as it left a really disgusting taste, especially the milk. Yuck! And to top off the expensive and disgusting taste of the coffee and milk, it started leaking after 3 days. Looked into their website to email my complaint, surprised surprised there wasn't any email to contact, as if they know that they will be inundated with complains so they discourage anybody by removing the word "complaint" in their drop down box in the enquiry section.

So I just click whatever I could click and told them about my experience with their coffee and the machine. Got a call back and he was nice about it and said he will get back to me after he talks to his supervisor of what they can do. You know what the supervisor said? Just buy and use another stronger coffee pod that they have! Aahh no!

Returned the machine but I still have the latte machiatto box of pods that I can't return.

Please don't buy any Dolce Gusto Coffee Machines that uses the their coffee pods because they really tasted sooo bad.

Perfect purchase! – Hubby and I purchased the black 'Nescafe Dolce Gusto Mini' over the weekend as I'm constantly craving those perfect $5.95 cups of vanilla latte's at our Starbuck's - And it's been an absolute joy to own this machine! I spent about 45 minutes learning how to insert the capsules into the coffee machine, learning when to swap them over and learning… Read more

to adjust the lever to the correct settings (BIG thank you to those YouTube tutorials.)

The machine is modernly designed, quick / simple to use, compact in size, definitely not noisy, simple to clean and has a great selection of coffee (plus other) flavours - Can't get better than making coffee shop style drinks in the comfort of your own home for around $1 a cup. Friends and family rave on about this machine/the coffee's every time they pop in for a visit!

I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone who loves a clutter-free kitchen and who loves their 'coffee shop' coffee's (and is trying to save $$$.)

5/5 rating from this household.

Fantastic – Love my MiniMe it’s so easy to use and you can just pick it up and put it anywhere as it’s so little. I take it everywhere in the house as I have little ones who nap and they wake easily to noise so it’s great that I can make a coffee anywhere and don’t have to use a frother at all. The coffee tastes great, the only complaint I have is the portion sizes are a bit small per pod, my kids love the Nesquick  Show details

Awesome little coffee pod machine – This coffee pod machine is fantastic. It takes up hardly any space, and produces a delicious, hot cup of coffee. The mini me allows you to set the amount of water you want to use with your favourite pods and stops when the desired level is reached. This means you can walk away from it knowing your cup won't overflow. It also gives you the… Read more

ability to add more water if you choose by manually using the lever.

Removing and replacing the water tank is really easy as is inserting and removing the pods.

I've had the mini me for almost 3 months and use it daily. The machine hasn't skipped a beat. I've bought several more expensive coffee machines over the years and none of them have produced a yummy hot coffee like the mini me. The pods are available from my local big name supermarkets which is very handy.

DeLonghi Nescafe Dolce Gusto MiniMe – The DeLonghi Nescafe Dolce Gusto MiniMe is a fantastic, easy-to-use machine at a very, very reasonable price. The only downside is the lack of choices within the pod range and here in Australia, compatible pods made elsewhere are very few and few between. All in all, I would still recommend it for under $100.  Show details

Okayish – Taste of coffee is just ok. I hate buying the capsules though. I can never find the right bundles for me in offers :( Easy to use and easy to clean. Small so doesn’t take much place. Happily sits in my kitchen with the other appliances. A little noise while making the coffee, otherwise it’s ok!  Show details

Terrible tasting pods – The machine works, it does what it is designed to do. It is small and easy to use and clean. The pods, that you are forced to buy as no other pods fit the machine, are terrible tasting. The only thing that comes out of the machine that tastes ok is the Nesquick kids drink. Have tried Americano, Cappuccino, Cafe Au Lait - all taste terrible. The… Read more

Very disappointed – I purchased my coffee maker just a few hours ago along with some extra assorted spare pods. I am sorry I did ! I have experimented with four different Nescafe pod styles and I am still unable to find a drinkable cup of coffee. I have also tried experimenting using real milk, so far that hasn't worked either. I will keep on experimenting but I think it likely I will bin the unit just one day after purchasing it. Total waste of money !

Love this machine! – I love this little machine, it is so easy to use! There is a wide variety of pods you can use, and the pods that have milk make a lovely frothy cup of coffee, cocoa, mocha or tea. I can't understand why so many people say the milk pod tastes disgusting? I think they taste lovely. They have a wonderful creamy flavour which really complements the… Read more

beverage.

I would suggest for those that are complaining about the milk pod however, to use just the coffee or cocoa pod and add milk from the fridge, or double up on pods and leave off the milk pods. But I love the milk pods so much I would have just a nice hot cup of milk!

My only beef with Dolce Gusto is that other countries have different flavoured pods such as Tea Latte, Vanilla Macchiato, Green Tea Latte, and Intense Matcha plus others....and I wish they would make these available in Australia! Otherwise I have to spend lots of $$$ on Ebay to ship them to Australia and it gets really expensive.

I would also like to see more "iced" pods so that we can get full use of that function on the machine. As it stands there is one coffee that can be used as iced, but there used to be Nestea peach and lemon which were discontinued before I bought the machine.... :( Other countries still sell Nestea, plus iced coffees and Iced herbal teas (Morocco).

So if you happen to find the Dolce Gusto pods while travelling, bring some home and try them because they fit the Australian machines. So far we have tried Japanese and Singaporean Dolce Gusto pods in our machine and they are wonderful!

Good little machine – This little machine and the easily available pods suit our needs. It is simple to use and easy to clean, and the pods cost $8.50-9.00 for 16 serves in the supermarket or online. However if you buy the pack which also contains the milk pods, eg cafe au lait, cappuccino, mocha, hot chocolate, chai etc there are 8 serves per box. I'm not a great fan… Read more

of the milky versions so use a small milk frother if I want that effect. There are often online offers where, if you buy sufficient boxes of pods, they throw in a free coffee machine, so I have a spare machine sitting in my cupboard as well. The coffee comes out with a nice crema, but if you plan to add cold milk and want it to stay hot it helps to first heat your cup with hot water.

Fantastic quick easy – Great looking compact unit. Ultra fast heat up and so easy to make a coffee. I have been putting off getting a pod machine for years, should have bought one sooner. August 6th 2018 Update: Delighted

I have put off buying a pod machine for years.

This one, ("Marven") is amazing.

I love the design, price and quality of it.

Quick warm up, simple to use and pods all taste excellent.

Downside is all the plastic waste of the used pods, plus they are a bit pricey.

I only have one per day which is my little luxury.

Great little Machine – Nice and compact! It is easy to use and has options of hot and cold coffee. Easy to clean and quick to heat up. Coffee pod selection is good but downside is the cost of the pods. Have to wait till Coles or Woolworths has a sale on. Would recommend the cappuccino pods.  Show details

Compact machine for rich taste – The machine is easy to use. Simply take out the rare compartment and fill with water, place in a capsule, set the hot water level according the instructions and pull the lever. generally no larger than 8 ounces at a time. Some might find certain drinks to be too small in volume. The taste is satisfactory to my levels (a causal coffee drinker).

Cleaning is simple. Take out the capsule up and bottom overflow trays to wash. The rear water compartment can be taken out for a rinse. The nozzle can also be cleaned via a small pin.

Pods can cost a decent price, but some drinks require 2 capsules; eg, milk+cappuccino.

This is really good – It is good and easy to make your coffee. Just put a capsule, you can make latte, cappuccino, mocha, macciatto, long black, short black and etc. And it is easy to clean. Just get rid for capsule and clean capsule cup and drip tray. In back side, you can find small pin, it can help your nozzle cleaning. You can enjoy your coffee at your home  Show details

DeLonghi Dolce Golce MiniMe – Just love this machine. Hubby and I like different pods but we are both delighted with this machine. I love cappuccino and Hubby likes black coffee. Love this coffee machine – I received this machine as a birthday gift last year, and to be honest never thought I would use it. It has now become my favourite kitchen appliance. The coffee tastes great and is always very hot, unlike some other brand machines I have tried. I have found I do not buy as much takeaway coffee now as I would rather wait until I get home and have a coffee I know I am going to enjoy.  Show details

Well worth our money – Decided on one of these after our second Caffitaly died within 12 months. We'd had an earlier version that worked OK but a limited range of pods. Good little machine – I bought this a while ago and it worked a treat. Always gave consistent results and good tasting coffee. The only downside would be that the pods are proprietary. You couldn't use other pods and the pods were never on sale. But for the $99 I got it for it definitely did it's job!  Show details

Cheap and simple to operate – We go this machine as part of a recent campaign with the order of 10 boxes of pods. It is a simple to operate machine and make great tasting coffee. Cleaning is a breeze with just a few wipes for splashes. The only downside to this machine would be the volume of the water tank. We have to constantly refill it and have forgotten may times causing the machine to make some strange noises. Overall a great machine.  Show details

and so easy to use I just had to have one for myself. I purchased mine from Coles on special for $49.

This is one of the best all round machines I have used so far for coffee making. It fast response switch on and clip in water dispenser at the back makes for quick on the go coffee, but with a café style quality taste to boot.

I can not stop raving about this machine. The coffee pods when in special at $6 a box of 16, works out to just 38c per coffee.

This will pay for it's self in 2 weeks based on a cafe bought coffee costing $4.50 per day.

Absolutely brilliant !! Compact , reasonably priced, quick, convenient, well designed
