Clear, Honest, and Informed Communication Right from the initial consultation, Brooke Gribben (Sales Consultant) provided transparent and detailed information about the home options, pricing, inclusions, and build process. Her communication was clear, timely, and always honest, which gave me immediate confidence in both her and the company. 2. Active Listening and Personalisation Brooke took the time to truly understand what I wanted, not just in a house, but in a home. She listened carefully to my needs, budget, and lifestyle, and provided thoughtful, personalised suggestions that made the process feel collaborative and stress-free. Her attention to detail and understanding of my vision ultimately secured my decision to sign with Dennis Family Homes. 3. Guidance Through the Selection Process (Notting Hill) When it came to colour and product selection, Molly Werner (Senior Colour Consultant) was equally impressive. The selection process can be overwhelming, but Molly made it simple and enjoyable. She guided me through each decision with clarity and expertise, explaining every option and helping me feel confident in my choices. 4. Professionalism and Respect at Every Interaction Both Brooke and Molly displayed a level of professionalism and respect that was consistent in every interaction. They were approachable, friendly, and genuinely cared about ensuring I felt supported and informed at every step of the journey. 5. Clarity Around Choices and Variations I always felt informed and in control of my selections. Brooke and Molly ensured I fully understood the difference between standard inclusions and upgrades, and any cost implications were explained transparently and without pressure. This clarity made the experience smooth and built a strong sense of trust. 6. Responsiveness and Follow-Through Both Brooke and Molly were incredibly responsive. Any queries or follow-up items were handled promptly and professionally. Their consistency in communication and delivery made me feel valued as a customer and confident in the process moving forward. In summary, my experience so far with Dennis Family Homes (now Simmonds Homes) has been nothing short of outstanding, and that is entirely thanks to the exceptional service from Brooke Gribben and Molly Werner. They are both assets to the business and a large part of why I would not hesitate to recommend this team to anyone considering building a home.

Communication is key to a positive experience – Our experience was compromised when Albury Wodonga offices closed, and we became an unexpected build and extra supervision responsibility which was a burden to the very busy Shepparton staff. issues during the build which feel may have compromised the longevity of some aspects of the home . The house progressed slowly as there were months when nothing happened and we worried that the house had stalled completely. Due to our lack of knowledge of Shepparton staff we had no one to connect with to discuss our concerns. Eventually after intervention from the customer experience manager and the Shepparton construction manager the house was rapidly brought to a conclusion. This building process was such a drawn out stressful experience, it has resulted in us still feeling like intruders, instead of delighted home owners who have just been handed the keys to their dream home.Some simple policy changes and better clearer communication would help; remembering saying, “I don’t know, but I’m looking into it,” is more reassurance to a home owner than simply not replying. Sadly this is not an experience that we would ever want to repeat.

Pre Build Experience – Signed up with [Name Removed] in the Shepparton Sales Office 1 year ago and we are still awaiting our Slab to be poured. the above in place. We found that we were always the ones initiating the follow ups. When we complained to numerous people at DFH we were made to deal with there was never any reasonable explanation as to the delay . We are fortunate to have a great site manager who seems proactive so hoping things will improve from here. Unfortunately the site managers wear the weight of these customers who are disgruntled with the unacceptable delays . So far the journey has been frustrating and dissapointing. Hoping the quality and pace of our build will improve from here and look forward to leaving a positive comment on completion .

Amazing, stress-free experience – We had our colour appointment with Sue today at the Shepparton office. She was amazing! Super helpful with colours when we explained the vision we were going for. We ended up making a couple of changes to what I had imagined but they looked so much better. Her advice was great and made the experience stress free. Rip off $1500 take as price lock – I visited display home at diggers rest she told me to pay $1500 for price lock . I paid but when she send me quotation previous price was not there which I lock then she said unable to change new price if I don’t want to go ahead then $1500 she not going to refund. Do not build with DFH do not Sign up run away before it’s to late – Very dishonest, poor standards and finishes of work, lit fires around our property, smoked inside even after it was painted and butted smokes out on our stone benches, left meat in bags to attract maggots inside the house, contractors stole from our shed, waffle pads were delivered and not used for mths so wind spread them all over our 30 acre… Read more

property breaking trees and wreaking fencing then not owning up to this damage and hiding trees in there trade bin, we are still in the process of taking this company to VCAT and would welcome anyone else with similar issues with this company to contact us as we are looking at a class action

Its ALL about money for them – Got charged for things that were supposedly included..still haven't been refunded. Don't get back to you. Wouldn't itemise our extras, despite multiple requests over months. Ended up just having to pay more than we should so we could move in. Put in wrong floor. Terrible paint work. Love our house!! Definitely a home our family can grow into! – Sales consultant explained things as many time as we needed it, communication was always prompt & clear! Overall happy with the finished product – Overall we are happy with the final build of the house. The build was handled well and had good communication from the site foreman. Since moving in though we found that the range hood was not installed properly and almost three months later we still don’t have it working. The other issue has been a loud clunking in the roof due to expansion of the colour bond roofing which is getting extremely annoying.  Show details ·  1
