Can I use my dyson dc29 to suction up masonary dust?
I personally haven't done this but I don't see any reason why you couldn't. I'd just wash the filters etc out every few weeks to keep it clean.
How can I remove the wheels on a multi tool head for he Dyson DC29 as there is hair in there and wheels don’t spin. Also should there be a rubber ring seal in the lid of the clear rubbish barrel, where it shuts. Feel like there used to be one it is not thee now
I have had a dyson vacuum cleaner for years, the last one I have bought is the dc29. I've replaced the dual floor head once and have a reoccurring problem. When you are using the brush on hardwood floors and tiles, it scrapes along the floor and crumbs end up being pushed around. Would love to hear if I could get a better floor head for my dyson.
Any debris too big to fit under/around the brushes of the head of your Dyson DC29 may be pushed along. These debris can either be cleaned up by raising and lowering the head of the machine directly onto the debris in question, or using the combination tool included with your machine.

The release catch on the cyclone is firmly stuck how can I solve this problem please?
I think the Head is kaput as it is not wprking on tiles properly

My DC29 is longer putting grit and fluff into clear barrel it’s going straight to the filter. Why? I have cleaned and checked in case something has lodged in the hose.

Hi, I have had my DC29 for 10 years and it has been great EXCEPT for the wheels on the Dual Mode floor tool head becoming immovable due to hair and therefore requiring a new head (twice so far) when starting to create long drag marks across the wooden floors. (As stated previously here by Dyson "There is no way to remove the wheels on the underside of the soleplate for cleaning") So my question is, is the Low profile Contact Head tool suitable for hard floors AND carpet? Thanks

Yes the DC29 has been discontinued. Look on Gumtree & eBay even Facebook Marketplace you'll likely find one.

Is it possible to buy replacement part, the head which rolls along floor to pick up (I don't know what it is called) for a DC29, and if so, where would I get it from .

My Dyson DC 29 runs backward but sticks on forward I checked for blockages there are none filters are not dirty either how do I fix this?

I have a Dyson dc29, it is3 years old. I have noticed today when turned on there is black stuff coming out of air vents, it looks like a filter has disintegrated. Is this able to be fixed.

Hi I've just purchased a turbine head for my dc29 and it feels like there is hardly any suction The original head has fantastic suction but the brunches were worn and it made a terrible sound so I decided to upgrade to a turbine head Just wondering if it works in a different way and you can't feel the suction or iS the original better Gail
Hi Gail, Thank you for your query. While the Turbine Head does utilise the same airflow of your DC29, it does so in a different way to the Dual Mode Floor Tool originally included with the DC29. The Turbine Head uses some of the airflow to spin the brushbar to provide deeper carpet cleaning.

Hi Jay, Thank you for your question. The Dyson Big Ball Origin is part of our latest range of barrel machines. It features our self-righting technology meaning if it topples over the machine will pick itself back up.
This machine will also come with a Dual mode floor tool with suction control, stair tool and combination tool.
The Big Ball origin is lighter than the DC29 and will provide greater maneuverability with its ball design.

Hi do you know if the dual mode floor head with suction control used for dyson DC29 vacuum cleaner can be used for Dyson upright DC14? The most important part if the head is the standard size to fit into the wand. Thanks.

The Barrel of my Dyson DC29 dB Origin is stuck..and i cant remove it from the vacuum.
the lower/waste half of the barrel isn't fully locked off, but i can't fully lock it off or remover it.. Any ideas?
Hi Luke, Thanks for your question. We'd suggest to start by pushing the base of the clear bin upwards, quickly and firmly to help it lock closed, then if you are still unable to unlock the bin from the machine, carefully use a butter knife or something similar that won't scratch behind the bin release button at the top of the machine to release the lever.
