DC35 type B. Hoping someone can help as Dyson can't or won't. Suggested I go to ESpares but without knowing what part is not working I can't order anything. I have taken to pieces, no blockages. I have power (green light on and on MAX) button but nothing happening. Does it just need a new battery? Thank you

Hi...DC35 animal brush is spinning whilst pulling vacuum backwards but brush stops rotating when pushed forward and it sounds like suction is less...I have cleaned and wiped electric connections... Battery few months old .... Any suggestions ?..

Bought a new battery for my DC35 - it arrived charged up and worked fine. Just trying to recharge it but the charger light goes off after a couple of minutes. It's not charging. Dont want to buy a new charger in case it's (again) something else. Can anyone help - and please dont say "reach out to our Dyson team ...." . I KNOW it's no longer supported!

5 year old DC35, just in the last 3 months the device isn't holding a charge for very long. Probably use this (when it worked well) for 10 minutes every few days. It stays permanently on wall charger when not in use.

Appears to just be the battery. Ordered a replica one, with higher mHA (4800) so not only should take a charge, but last a bit longer - I think the standard battery is only 4000mHA.

Nothing to see here - just informational.

I contacted support last week. The whole interaction was merely treated as a sales exercise and at no point was I offered information or pricing on a battery - despite the person identifying that was the problem.

So I’ve purchased elsewhere.

As a footnote to this, I received the new after-market large capacity battery, and the vacuum is as good as new. The sales rep absolutely refused to hear what I was saying - I have a cleaner, I don't need an expensive vacuum, the DC35 barely gets used, but sits in the charge cradle when not in use. I just needed a new battery but he was oh-so-keen to sell me some $1000 top of the range vacuum, when the use-case was the furthest possible from that. I expected better.

Ive just bought a DC35 and although the battery is fully charged the machine powers off after only a few seconds. It has a relatively new battery. I reading this is a common fault. I've cleaned the thing from top to bottom and also the connection points. Please advise.

My DC35 will not charge or run. Nil indicator light when in the charger. Indicator light on when trigger pulled, but no motor function. Is this a battery failure or a charger failure. Multi meter shows charger output at 1.6V dc with no load. ( ie, unit not in the charging cradle )

My dyson d35 wont charge it works if a fully charged battery put in. I bought 2 new batteries and both won’t charge. I have tested the charger on another battery and it will charge it. Can the battery charge when not connected to the machine?

This is unusual to hear as when the charger is plugged into the battery, it plugs directly in to the battery, bypassing the main body of the machine if in the machine. Can I leave it on charge constantly on its wall station?

It is recommended you leave the machine on charge when not in use, even if you haven't fully used the battery. This will ensure it is always ready for your next cleaning session. Your Dyson DC35 has smart electronics within the machine, battery and charger to ensure the machine won't overcharge.

Yah, I just dont think they will really care about our complaining, they are a large corp. and have millions of customers. I just wanted to warn other people and I will not be buying another Dyson that is for sure
