Dyson got it wrong with this one – This is our second Dyson vacuum cleaner. The first lasted a long time and we loved it. This one is not as good, but it was less expensive. It does come with attachments, but unlike our first one, they don’t attach to the body of the cleaner when not in use, so we usually have to wander the house looking for them. It also doesn’t seem to work as… Read more
well on carpet as our first one either (on tiles it’s fine though). The third main issue I have with it is that it tips over more easily that the first. In between the first Dyson and this one we had a $75 vacuum from Kmart which really sucked (and not in the way you want a vacuum to suck). I think this model is discontinued now, but none-the-less, if you are accustomed to a more expensive Dyson, you may be disappointed by this one, but if you’ve never had a Dyson before, you may love this one. If you see it second-hand for a lot less than the $500 new price tag, it might be worth it.
Disappointed – Had mine for 3 years and after one year my core is so twisted it can't be fixed after 2 years my wand handle has snapped in 2 places and duct taped together so I can still use it! Not sure what to do with a new vaccum now. I have always looked after it also and kept it clean Show details
Disappointed on the quality of my Dyson – I had a Dyson for nearly 10 years, it was amazing. I really felt it was well constructed and built to last (I can’t believe it lasted that long). About 12 months ago I purchased a new Dyson (similar to the old one), fully expecting it to be the same quality as my old one. Unfortunately it doesn’t compare, it doesn’t clean as well, it’s very… Read more
plastic, the wheel cover feel off, it just doesn’t seem to be built to the same standard. I don’t think I’ll be buying Dyson again. :(

Like Usain Bolt, great for a short span of time – We purchased this model in November 2015 after receiving strong recommendations by family/friends to invest in one. The vacuum itself worked very well for just over two years. We utilised this vacuum for carpet and polished timber in a small home about three times a week at 15 minute intervals. The vacuum failed to turn unexpectedly in late… Read more
July 2018 with no signs or cause. We had the vacuum sent to the Dyson service centre in Perth for inspection. Once inspected the staff member accused us of vacuuming moist objects and water, not the case as we wiped down the cleaner prior to dispatch. It was also subjectively added that we'd used an extension cord whilst cleaning which apparently causes the vacuums cord to extend causing damage, also not the case as we've never used an extension cord in our tiny home.
Although the warranty had ran out by just over eight months I would of thought the $190 repair bill would of been honoured however not the case. Fairly poor in my opinion for a machine valued over $500 to fail in this small 2.5 year period.
My advice, Dyson appears to have a large slice in marketing however definitely steer clear for a more reliable brand.
The Best Floor Vaccum I've Ever Had – Only recently moved up to this Vaccum after nothing but misery with the last lot I've used. The house is clean is 5+ bedrooms and one bathroom with a lot of animals, so a vacuum that gets animal fur was a must! And this bad boy delivered! Very versatile and there's no need of to change heads when you vacuum different surfaces. I use the same head… Read more
on tiles and carpet but am particularly blown away by how nicely it Vaccum carpet! The suction is incredible is surprises me considering the hole in the head in only small, this being my only draw back, I'd prefer it if it had a wider mouth to collect things with but somehow it works beautifully and leaves no mess behind. It's easy to get around the house with minimal bumping into furniture. My favourite feature is how easy it is to remove the heads and use the small suction head which is great for corners and crevices along skirting boards. Has a great containment system that takes forever to fill which means I can vacuum the house without having to change it til the end. So far in love.
What a relief – After our Wertheim broke again (see other reviews) I was forced to finally buy another vacuum. Having used a friend's Dyson I decided to purchase the DC37C which was substantially reduced in price at our local bulk store for Christmas. After unpacking and some simple assembly my first impression was just how quiet this unit was compared to our… Read more
old vacuum. The machine is easy to use, easy to pull around and doesn't remove chunks from the plaster corners in our house like the other machine did and it follows you obediently. Our cleaning area is mainly short pile carpet with a couple of square metres floating floor and several square metres of vinyl and it handles this with ease. I was initially concerned that the absence of a power floor tool (I have checked and the power floor tool that Dyson offers as an option appears to fit to this model) would limit its effectiveness in our house due to a long haired dog and three long haired women but I was wrong. This machine has ample power to to suck up all of that and more! On board tools including crevice tool and small nozzle/upholstery tool conveniently store on the wand for quick access. Standard multi floor head works well enough so no complaints there. The main air filter that sits in the centre of the canister is easy to access and clean.
There are some concerns though. The length of the power cord is impractically short requiring the constant use of an extension cord and my wife and I both are taller people and we find the wand just a little too short resulting in a stooped posture during use and ultimately a sore back. The dust canister though appearing large has a very low "full" level requiring an empty after every vacuum to stay on top of dust/debris which is obviously is the manufacturers way of reducing dust passing through the machine and maintaining suction. Some of the plastic does feel a little flimsy and fragile but we will have to wait and see how that wears over time.
To date I am thrilled with the purchase of the Dyson DC37C which makes vacuuming less of a chore than our previous machine ever did.

I thought I always did a thorough job when I vaccumed my carpets until I bought this Model Dyson. Yo – Not really. If I bump it on the wall maybe. I think the bottom is heavy enough to keep it ballanced. I've had cheap ones in the past from different brands get twisted and tip over. But not my Dyson. I'm really thrilled to own one. When it's time to upgrade I'll go Dyson all the way. Show details
This is hands down the best vacuum i have ever owned. No effort required, just turn on and it works – No issues with tipping over. The only suggestion i would make is that the cord be a wee bit longer. I have had this machine for about 6 years and it still works as well as the day i purchased it. The best thing is that i have several cats and a dog and this machine picks up hair with no problem what so ever. Show details
A great job! – This vac does a fabulous job in all my floors. It’s light weight, powerful and cleans beautifully. I was blown away the first time I used it to see how much better it worked than my previous vacuum cleaner. This cleaner does tip over occasionally but is easy to fix upright again., Show details

What a waste of money – I was very excited when I found myself in the position to be able to afford a ‘high end’ vacuum cleaner, which this model of the Dyson range purports to be..... The poorly designed system for emptying and reattachment of the waste collection bin is a nightmare to deal with again and again and again.... EVERY time you have to empty said bin. Almost… Read more
out of sight and certainly almost out of reach this is a connection system designed to frustrate and annoy the end users. You know, US, the customers.....I am a 65 year old woman who has run a domestic cleaning business in the past so I’ve used and been exposed to many a different vacuum cleaner. It doesn’t suck up dirt etc any better than a $200 model of other brands I have used. I feel slightly used myself here, as though I’ve paid for the brand and NOT the promised performance. Save your hard earned money and look elsewhere, I wish I had.
Dyson Review – Still working after 6 years of service. Its a bit clunky on the storage capability but i know that this vacuum will get the job done right, each and every time. The attachments are easy to snap on and off and i ended up buying an extra wood floor attachment that works well on tiles. Show details
It’s ok – A little heavy to use on carpet tips over clogs up easy probably the worst Dyson I’ve had not a fan at all.... ... expensive and worst birthday present my husband has ever brought me not impressed will never buy a Dyson ever again Electrolux for the win! Do not buy. Show details

It's got a tile or carpet option and plenty of different attachments to use for e.g.. cleaning the car or the crevice in between cupboards. It sux... really good. I use it for pet hair on wooden floor boards and tight grain carpet. Works well for me Show details

This is awesome – I love this product it is by far the best item I have purchased in a long time, I am happy as and would definitely buy another dyson product again. It still sucks like the day I brought it and that's with the kids vaccuming up anything and everything. We'll done to dyson for sure Show details
Great Vaccuum – This is a great vacuum! It’s got great suction, it sucks up so much dirt. It does tip over from time to time but it’s no big deal. We have been looking at a stick vacuum though, it can be a lot to lug around. But overall a great vacuum. Show details
love it – My vacuum has tipped over a few times when I hit the corner of walls. however as a user it is often more my fault for not watching where i lead the vacuum cleaner and getting it caught on either the cord on the corner and in steading going back moving the unit I pull on the nozzle. A breeze – Brought my Dyson at big w. Was sure I wasted my money till I tried it out. Amazing vaccines.easy to push wheels nicely round the house. sucks fabulously on all surfaces. A little bit tricky to empty the first few times . Packs away nicely. You'll be suprised at the dirt it fi ds Show details
Great for multi floor – We have had this vacuum for about 7-8 months and it has revolutionised our cleaning experience. It is great on tiles, floorboards and carpet. A little heavy to carry up and down stairs but it’s suction power and dust bin capacity make up for it! It’s also relatively quiet and easy to manoeuvre around furniture! Show details
Love my dyson – I've owned mine for 3yrs and it hasn't failed me once. It had great suction, easy maintainence, doesn't fall over like my cheap brands used to, easy to get under and around furniture. I have carpeted bedrooms and floating floorboards through the rest of the house as well as tiles in bathroom etc. I can do the whole house with the one head! Love it so easy! Show details
Cool Gadget with Good Suction – Just got this vacuum a few months ago during the big eBay sale. Apart from the slightly inadequate packaging I was very happy with this product. For one, its suction is unparalleled with any previous vacuum I've had before. Its design is very unique and you can see that every single bolt has been screwed in with consideration for the customer's convenience. Great machine! Show details
BEST Vacuum – One of my favourite brand with strong suction that can suck up anything on the floor. My last one last almost 9 years and the suction was still great!!! I don't know what I will do without my Dyson. I use it daily and I also have a handheld one to help with my dusting on the window seal, bed frames etc. Great products!!! Show details
Excellent vacuum – I'm very happy with the performance and suction of this vacuum. It even helped suck in a lot of water from carpets after a mini flooding accident. Very quickly helped us dry the carpets. It definitely makes some noise, but cleaning is easy. A little difficult to manoeuvre with the barrel and shape of the equipment. However, it is still great and… Read more · 1

Long lasting, The best Vacuum ever – I have been using my Dyson for over 10 years, the power has not reduced still amazing. Great for all types of floors. Picks up dust and dirt that you don't know the house had. The best investment ever. I vacuum our home weekly and this works miracles. I love my Dyson. Show details
Great vacuum – This vacuum is very effective sucks up all the dirt and dust leaving no trails of dirt behind. I used it in my car after going to the beach and it completely took all the sand off & out of the seat covers. I love to use it as it cuts the cleaning time in half. Show details
Its great – I have been using this for about 3 years now. Works great and keeps the carpet clean. I live in a 3 bedroom house and 2 cats, need to empty it every 3 or 4 time use, so it does a great job collecting a lot of cat hair. You only have to see how much rubbish it collects to know that it works great. Show details
Heavy duty vacuum cleaner for all kinds of floors – We have brought this vacuum cleaner three years back and have used it on different surfaces of our house.we have practically tested out the suction power of the vacuum cleaner in comparison with our neighbours cleaners and have found amazing difference. A great little Vacuum – This vacuum is perfect for any home. I love the bag less use as I always would forget to buy more bags unless I saw them. It’s easy to see when it needs emptying as the barrel is clear. Manoeuvring is great. It doesn’t lose its suction and is compact enough to store away easily. Overall it is a great little vacuum with lots of power. Show details
Great vacuum cleaner – I have had this vacuum for years now and I have to say it is better than any vacuum that I have had in the past. The suction is excellent - though I would say make sure you clean the filter every six months or three months like it requires as it will affect suctioning. It is loud and heavy but it is still easy to manoeuvre. It is great on all types of floors and carpets however shaggy carpets can affect performance. Show details
Still very happy with this – I have had this for over three years and I still enjoy using it. That might sound like a funny thing to say about a vacuum but the Dyson is just so well designed that it is a pleasure to use. It is still running as strongly as the day I got it and apart from a few scuffs you wouldn't know its age. It is easy to empty and reasonably quiet when… Read more

The house always feels spick and span after I have vacuumed with this and I have no negative comments or things I would change. It is a good vacuum.
After 7 years no spare parts – I purchased my Dyson DC37C as a luxury item nearly four years ago. It has been a good unit but now has a problem. I learned today whilst visiting the Dyson Perth repair centre that Dyson only hold parts for models for 7 years. After that, they cannot be repaired. One couple in the repair centre were told their Dyson cannot be fixed. They were… Read more
shocked. Dyson are promoted as machines for a lifetime. That advice needs to be amended to "Machines for 7 years". The condescending and critical comments made by the staff at the centre were enough to put me off buying another Dyson. They must have a tough job because they don't appear happy. "Another customer, another problem". Spending more on a vacuum cleaner doesn't necessarily mean a longer life. Dyson cap repairs at $280 but it might be better to invest in a new cleaner.

Very disappointed – Maybe I have been spoilt with previous vacuums. My first vacuum I bought over 34 years ago was an Electrolux, still going great, I use it in the garage for the cars as the suction is fantastic. Then had a ducted vacuum which was just amazing loved it. When we moved had to decide which vacuum to buy as I wanted a good one! Very disappointed with… Read more
my choice.
First thing is the switch to turn on, its in a really awkward spot, I use my right leg (may be great for lefties)
The suction is really poor not what I'm used to.
The nozzles are not round so cannot use to suck the air out of storage bags or use any other handy ends that you may have.
Very inconvenient when vacuuming when you just want to use in a corner or tight spot, you cant just take the normal floor vacuum end off to suck up something in a corner as not round very clunky, have to use the small extension which has little holes and leaks air, the cover to close the little holes broke virtually straight away so have it taped up with masking tape so I can use it..... Cannot just pop it out to suck something up so frustrating.
The 2 tools it came with attaches to the arm, but they fall off all the time.
It tips over a lot.
Empting it is a nightmare, so messy, dust gets stuck up near filter have to pull it all apart to empty, needs washing all the time.
I wish I never bought it.

Form over function ! – After years of seeing and hearing all the hype around Dyson products I was excited to buy a Dyson vac. connectors all leak suction.
•Multi floor head continually scratches my hardwood floors.
•Unit unstable; constantly tips over.
PLEASE if you are thinking of purchasing a Dyson vac at the very least compare the specs on the suction power with other similar priced vacs. Sure it will give you a clear instant answer.

Excellent product! Well worth the money spent – Suction is great and consistent. It’s a really light machine and this makes it extremely easy to manage even for the kids lol. I have timber floors and a rug and it’s great to be able to do both floors with the one appliance. We don’t have a huge house but it performs extremely well and meets our needs Show details
Excellent – Best vacume cleaner, works really well. Carpets always feel so clean after every use. Dog hair not a problem. Also power cord is great length so you don’t have to unplug and replug to do a large room. Only fault would be that it can be a little heavey. But my god fantastic Show details
Powerful product – Very happy to change to this vacuum from Philips model. Much more powerful and effective and saves me time. Got it at a good price as it wasn’t the latest model but works great nonetheless. Works great on multi surfaces like tiles, parquets and carpets. Wouldn’t recommend a better product brand than dyson Show details
