My Dyson v11 Torque vacuum spins for about 3 seconds but then makes a skidding noise and stops working. The brush is clean and no airways are blocked. Filters got cleaned as well. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have a recurring problem with v11. While I use them the high torque brush stops, I turn it off and on and nothing works anymore, I have to turn it off and wait 5-8 seconds and everything starts working again. This happens several times while using it. It goes away for a few months if i put in a new extension tube, then it does it again. Sometimes the blue led flashes 10 times. When running the V11 runs fine and battery life is regular. Dyson assistance has already sent me 2 new tubes, when it was under warranty, and I bought the other 2 tubes, but the problem is not solved. What can it be ?
I think I've found the problem: the tube contacts in the motor body are oxidized. I disassembled them, cleaned them and tightened them, they have been working perfectly for 2 months. I notice 2 weak points: the female contacts used are not suitable for putting on and taking off the tube at least twice a week, and the electronic board blocks the brush too quickly.

Where can I put my Dyson v11 for repair. I can’t take the dirt bin off the wand as button won’t open?
I have a Dyson V11 Animal+. I took it apart to clean out the canister and the silver filter that goes in the canister. I put it back together and now it won't turn on when I pull the trigger. Any ideas?
How to resolve this issue. I have the same problem 2 units that we owned.

Hi using the Dyson Torque Drive Motorhead on short pile carpet going forward its fine but when I pull backwards the head bounces, there are no obvious issues i can see ie: loose parts or blockages. any ideas?
Hi bbb, a juddering or hopping motion when pulling backwards suggests the Torque head isn't rolling smoothly - and could be due to debris getting into the V-ball wheels or their axles on the join of the neck. To remove and refit the V-ball wheels use a philips head screwdriver. Also, check for and remove any built-up debris on the mini rollers and axles on the soleplate on the underside of the floor tool. My torque head is dirty but I can't get the the roller out to clean it. I use a 20 cent coin but it appears to be jammed and won't turn at all. Turning it clockwise it clicks but won't turn counter clockwise.

We have a 15 mth old v 11, paid $1500 for full kit, the Name Dyson is supposed to be good quality, but I'm now wondering about this ? our machine which gets little use on vinyl floors at home keeps showing blocked filter.. we keep our machine very clean & wash the filter regular so were surprised when this appeared. we washed the filter again & let it dry in the sun for 24 hrs, refitted it & same message came up...so cleaned inside the machine which was not very dusty / dirty, but still getting same message & machine still not working, not very happy with this, our other stick vacuum (Hoover) which is 3 years old is still working fine & only cost $300..

My one year old V11 absolute is collecting the dirt (mostly) into the upper part of the canister, instead of lower part. As a result, I have to wash the filter often. Why is this happening? It’s a new phenomenon…….
The V11 blocks quickly at the end of the tube where it goes into the v11 body. It needs a long stick to pull out compacted fluff etc. Is this normal? Happens a lot. Rob
If your Dyson V11 is routinely blocking in the wand, this can indicate something stuck within the inlet airway in main body of the machine. Ive never had that problem. But suggest you follow Dyson's advice.

Is the Dyson V11 Absolute safe to use on a new loop pile wool carpet without it fluffing it up? Can you heighten up the brush bar to prevent this?

Hi, I have a Dyson v11 absolute When it is on boost it keeps saying airway blocked when it is not. I checked and rechecked and I'm confident nothing blocking it. I have clean washed filter If I change the setting to medium no blocked sign comes on. How can I resolve this. Hi I was vacuuming today when suddenly it's just stopped turning on, the display works fine and the chamber is completely empty, took it out to clear the dust and all, but when I click the trigger a short 1 second sound comes on but the motor doest start at all

I have a Dyson V11 Outsize Pro. Have only used it a few times. The trigger seems to be stuck half way. It works, but it wont go all the way in, as it did when I first used it. Any fixes or suggestions please. I know it is not as it should be, I’ve used Dyson cordless for a couple of years now. This is a brand new one.

I have a V11 Torque Drive and recently the trigger became really soft. Today it has stopped working. When you press the trigger, it does not do anything and the vacuum does not turn on. Before there use to be a clicking sound when the trigger was pressed but now there is nothing. It was bought in Aug 2019 from Harvey Norman.
Take it to a Dyson service centre if there's one near you. It's faster. Otherwise Harvey Norman will send it off to them via Australia Post to get assessed which is much slower. They will replace the motor body part so you have a new trigger. The next time it happens you're on your own, unsure how much the repair would cost out of warranty. Same thing happened to ours and Dyson swapped it at their service shop. Next time I will try a home repair, there's videos on YouTube showing the issue and fix

What’s the difference between the complete pro and the outsize pro other than the bigger cleaning head and size of bin?
It collects more dust, I'm glad I got the bigger one. I don't think it is more powerful by it does cover a bigger surface.

The main difference is that the V11 Outsize Pro is designed for larger homes, with a bigger bin capacity of 1.9L (compared to 0.7L) and a larger cleaner-head, increasing coverage by an additional 25%.
I’ve sold my outsize and replace with the smaller one. Too heavy and the battery runs out before the bin is full anyway so what’s the point of the large bin? Gave me sore shoulder and tennis elbow but I do vacuum daily.
