Hi John Mix at 50:1 (20mls oil per 1 litre fuel) and 2 stroke oil.

50:1 fuel and oil mixture ratio and for a extended fuel period i prefer a nice qaulity Fuel Stabilizer like what i do in my units and they don,t go bad in the long run too and if you use Silicone Spray for the Guard/Shield/Debris Deflector it will stop the grass from sticking to the plastics and the drive shaft too.

Hi Nicky,

The curved shaft trimmers (GT) aren't compatible with attachments, however the straight shaft trimmer SRM-222ES can be fitted with an optional hedge trimmer attachment

Any advice on why mine won't idle? I need to keep a finger on the trigger the whole time otherwise it just cuts out. This happens when choke is off and on. Would it be my fuel mix?

Hi Lorraine, You can buy it from Bunnings. The best one is the model GT222-ES which has the bent shaft. They are easier to use than the straight shaft models. They have increased in price to $339 probably due to COVID.

What is the oil to petrol fuel ratio?

Buy a 5 litre jerry can at any petrol station and then buy the 250ml bottle of oil. Put the entire oil contents into the jerry can then fill up with petrol.
